My 9- year- old loves this bat! We did a ton of research and had him try out a lot of different types of bats as he was upgrading from a 27 to 29 inch bat for this upcoming season. He is a strong hitter but has an issue with casting. We found that he performs much better with a one- piece bat, and he was extremely confident with this Voodoo over the super trendy two- piece composite bats that everyone is purchasing right now. We let him have his pick of bats and he chose this one. Would definitely recommend this bat for the age range!

My 8 year old son swings this pretty well. He's swinging a 30/20. When he barrels it up, no vibrations. Hit on the handle or end cap, he feels it. I do n't see that as a problem. I see that as reinforcement to make sure you hit the ball with the barrel. I mean you really only have to touch a hot stove once to learn that lesson. All kidding aside, for$ 100, he really enjoys it. He's hitting balls at hit trax coming into him at 30mph exit velocity between 61- 63mph so there is pop there
