It is a well balanced bat with a nice sweet spot and great pop. If your kid likes a balanced bad( think CatX), then they will love this one. My older son also got it in the drop 5 and it hits bombs!

Rueben Breaux
Good bat with tons of pop and big sweet spot. It ’s extremely balanced compared to any 28/18 composite on his team. It ’s slightly heavier than the 2024 model, but less than an oz difference. Biggest take away is that it ’s hotter than 2024 model on exit velocity, but isn ’ t as forgiving on miss hits and rattles the hands a lot more.

My 9- year- old loves this bat! We did a ton of research and had him try out a lot of different types of bats as he was upgrading from a 27 to 29 inch bat for this upcoming season. He is a strong hitter but has an issue with casting. We found that he performs much better with a one- piece bat, and he was extremely confident with this Voodoo over the super trendy two- piece composite bats that everyone is purchasing right now. We let him have his pick of bats and he chose this one. Would definitely recommend this bat for the age range!

My son and I went to look for a 29/19 Cat X Connect. He wanted to try a connect after having a 27/17 Cat 9 Pastime 1 piece and a 28/18 Cat X 1 piece. We were surprised that DSG had Cat X2 ’s out. He tried both the Connect and 1 piece 29/19 ’s and he really liked both, but chose the Connect. The whip of the Connect took a minor adjustment, but he loves it now and only wants Connects going forward. He is an average sized 10 year old with some power and he hit amazing at his tournament( which was 2 days after we purchased the bat) with his new bat. We highly recommend, this is an awesome bat. My son loves Marucci bats and we are lifelong customers. Grab this bat and watch your kid crush!

My 8 year old son swings this pretty well. He's swinging a 30/20. When he barrels it up, no vibrations. Hit on the handle or end cap, he feels it. I do n't see that as a problem. I see that as reinforcement to make sure you hit the ball with the barrel. I mean you really only have to touch a hot stove once to learn that lesson. All kidding aside, for$ 100, he really enjoys it. He's hitting balls at hit trax coming into him at 30mph exit velocity between 61- 63mph so there is pop there

If I had spent$ 400 on this bat, my review may have been different but I spent less than$ 100 after sales and rewards. My daughter does n't do a ton of USSSA baseball tournaments but her last bat( ADV) was a 2 piece and broke so I grabbed this one. This hits as good as MUCH more expensive bats. The satin, all black look is a complete sleeper. None of the `` cotton candy '' you see these days. My girl has n't used it in a game yet, only batting practice but she loves it. I heard about this bat in some online, back forum.

When selecting a USSSA baseball bat, consider factors such as the bat's construction, weight, and length. A one-piece bat typically offers a stiffer feel and more power, while a two-piece bat can provide better vibration control and comfort. Additionally, look for features like an expanded sweet spot and grip comfort to enhance your overall performance.
The drop weight of a baseball bat is the difference between its length in inches and its weight in ounces. A drop weight of -10 means that a 30-inch bat weighs 20 ounces. Generally, a lower drop weight can provide more power, while a higher drop weight allows for easier swinging, making it essential to choose one that matches your player's strength and skill level.
USSSA baseball bats are commonly made from alloy or composite materials. Alloy bats are known for their durability and consistent performance, while composite bats often provide a larger sweet spot and a softer feel upon contact. The choice between materials often depends on personal preference and the player's hitting style.
USSSA baseball bats are designed for youth players participating in travel ball and competitive leagues. These bats cater to players who are developing their skills and need equipment that balances power and control. They are particularly beneficial for younger athletes looking to improve their hitting performance against faster pitching.
To find the right size bat, measure your child's height and weight, and consider their skill level. A general guideline is that the bat should reach between the waist and the hip when standing upright. Additionally, trying out different lengths and weights can help ensure they are comfortable and can swing effectively.
Performance features in USSSA baseball bats include technologies that expand the sweet spot, reduce vibration, and improve grip comfort. Some bats incorporate composite materials that enhance power and control, while others may have specific end caps designed to optimize performance. These features collectively contribute to a better hitting experience.
The lifespan of a USSSA baseball bat can vary based on usage and the materials used in its construction. Generally, alloy bats tend to last longer than composite bats, which may require replacement after a certain number of hits. Regular inspections for signs of wear and tear can help determine when it’s time to replace a bat.
Yes, USSSA baseball bats must meet specific performance standards set by the organization. These regulations include restrictions on barrel diameter and material composition to ensure fair play. It’s important to check that any bat you consider is certified for USSSA play to avoid any issues during games.
