Bought these for a trip to Canada, they were great, stylish and comfortable. Bulkier than other boots but is part of the style. Would definitely recommend. Probably size up half a number if you are going to use heavier socks.

If you 're need is to do delicate footwork in steep or awkward terrain these are not the boots for you. But, if you 're spending a lot of time working outside in Wyoming in winter in snow, on ice, and in the very special kind of mud we have up here, they are stellar. I had a little break in period to soften up the ankles a little. They are warm, without heavy socks, even in sub- zero° F temps, comfy, 100% waterproof, and easy to clean. These are seriously burly well made boots.

These are perfect for Colorado winters. Light enough and warm enough for a short winter hike and dog walks around the neighborhood after a snowstorm when I need more than a hiking boots

Sizing winter boots has been quite challenging. I wear a 10. 5 medium width athletic shoe/ 44. 5 cycling shoe. I tried many brands and sizes including LL Bean, KEEN, Columbia, Muck, and a few more. Boots like this can feel stiff so I prefer thicker wool socks for added cushion and insulation. An 11. 5 was snug but not too tight( like the 11) and gave me enough wiggle room in the toe box. When I finally got outdoors with them, I found them warm and comfortable walking around for more than two hours through slush and snow on trails and streets. They are quick to slip on and lace up, quick to unlace and slip off. I am very satisfied with them.

Easy to use/attach. Stays in place without any rechecking or refastening. Doesn ’ t let in even the smallest rock or other irritant. I put it on at the start of my run and don ’ t think about it again until I ’ m back at my car.

Best gaiters I 've found for long distance trail running. Durable construction, comfortable fit, great attachment. This is the 4th different pair of gaiters I 've sought out for running trail ultras, if that's what your seeking- look no further.

Took me a while to figure out how to put them on. Add great coverage to the ankle area and laces. I have only used them once so far, but it looks like the bottom white strap will probably get torn eventually, all depends on the type of terrain it gets exposed to. I hope Black Diamond made this strap replaceable.

After trying several different brands and having trouble finding gaiters that didn ’ t feel super tight around the calf and that felt durable for even the most rugged trails, I landed on these and will never look back!

I 've tried all the rest, these are the best! I must walk funny or whatever, but I seem to kick up rocks, dirt, sand and everything else into my shoes. They fit perfectly, breath amazingly, and are durable like steel, simply put, they will exceed your expectations! I use them in the winter in snow, in the summer in sand and everything in between. I primarily use them for hiking, backpacking and alpine climbing. Worth every penny you 'll spend, even at retail.
Boots with gaiters are designed to provide additional protection against the elements, particularly in wet, muddy, or snowy conditions. Gaiters are typically made from waterproof or water-resistant materials and are worn over the boot's upper to prevent debris, snow, and moisture from entering. This combination enhances the overall functionality and comfort of the footwear during outdoor activities.
Boots with gaiters are ideal for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, snowshoeing, and winter trekking. They are particularly beneficial in environments where snow, mud, or loose debris are present, as they help keep your feet dry and comfortable. Additionally, they provide extra insulation and protection, making them suitable for colder climates.
Boots with gaiters are often constructed from durable, waterproof materials such as nylon, polyester, or rubber. The gaiters themselves may feature breathable fabrics to enhance comfort while preventing moisture ingress. This combination of materials ensures that the boots remain lightweight yet robust enough to withstand harsh outdoor conditions.
When selecting boots with gaiters, it's important to consider both the fit of the boots and the gaiters themselves. Ensure that the boots provide a snug yet comfortable fit, allowing for adequate movement without being too tight. Additionally, check the gaiter's sizing options to ensure they can accommodate your boots properly, as a secure fit is essential for optimal performance.
While boots with gaiters are excellent for wet, muddy, or snowy conditions, their suitability can vary based on specific weather scenarios. They are designed to keep moisture out and provide insulation, making them ideal for cold and wet environments. However, in extremely hot conditions, they may not be the best choice due to potential overheating.
Caring for boots with gaiters involves regular cleaning to remove dirt and debris that can accumulate on both the boots and gaiters. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning and drying to maintain their waterproof properties. Additionally, inspecting the gaiters for any signs of wear or damage will help ensure they continue to perform effectively.
