They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. Bought these since I moved from AK over to the east coast. Wanted something lighter and a bit more breathable than the womens legacy boots. I wore these everywhere. Gardening, hiking, walking the dog 3+miles a day, to work, doing errands, slipping them on in the early morning to pick up dog poop. These were easy to slip on and off. My feet stayed dry. In the dead of summer, they can get a bit hot. My regular running shoes are even hot! but overall my feet did not overheat. The shoes had great traction. It's been about a year and they are still great. I may have worn down the soles from so much use. My only con is: the foot cushions might stick to your bare feet if you do n't wear socks.

Very easy to slip on and secure once on your foot. This can be difficult to achieve with a slip- on boot, but these nail it. The rubber material is completely waterproof, and the bottom tread is excellent on icy surfaces. I got these boots as a gift and they are certainly the best! I am a typical size 6 and the 6 fit perfectly. I did add some extra support for my bad feet, but they are comfortable on their own. I wore them everyday for 5+ hours at a horse farm, mucking out, and stepping in things most certain to ruin them. These had hard use and never cracked or got a hole where a lot of rubber boots do near the toes. The color stayed bright and were easy to clean after a day in mud. I love the ankle height so your legs are n't sweating like taller boots. Honestly the perfect boots, will definitely buy again or will buy another pair for just rainy days and not for stinky farm work!

I was thinking about getting XtraTuf boots for a long time but never had any reason to until I started needing a waterproof boot that wasn ’ t a full tall winter boot. I ’ m glad I got them. They aren ’ t breathable( as I expected) due to the waterproofing of the boot, but the fact that they are short boots helps them breathe a little more than a tall boot. They are very comfortable and I have even wore them for short hikes because I decided not to change my shoes. They have quickly became my everyday winter shoe/boot. I love the purple color, it is so fun, but when mud splashed on them it stays visible until you wash it off. The one time I did scrub them off they did clean up relatively nicely, but if you want an easier maintenance boot, I would get a darker color.

They used to be XtraTuf. Everybody called them Alaska sneakers because everywhere you go, somebody is wearing tufs. The quality went downhill a little bit after they stopped manufacturing them in the USA but overall they '' re still a decent boot. I 've had the composite toe and the regular 15 '' legacy boots for over a decade, the 're more comfortable than a muck boot in my opinion and better for working on boats than most other rubber boots. As a fishing guide I always have a pair with me, it's always raining in Alaska.

Well first off these are Lightweight and at the end of the day you don ’ t feel like a horse shedding a saddle. They slip off and my feet feel great. I did put my arch supports in and these boots picked up where my other Georgia boots left off. The soles of the boots grip well on many surfaces and the tops have a nice feel and not too restrictive also. I ordered a half size bigger, since I wear wool soaks for added cushion on my feet. Now the only draw back is I wish they were a little narrower by a little. These feel like they are wide instead of a standard width. Again, my wool soaks help make up for some of the looseness but it is not a deal breaker by no means. Thus far for everyday work boots for someone who is on their feet a lot on concrete, these have done really well.

The `` Boa system '' is really cool. Instead of leather or cotton laces, it's a wire system that tightens up to your comfort when you twist the button on the front. When you want `` out '' you pull the button out and the tongue loosens right up. Very convenient. I would recommend this boot for mostly active activities. They seem to be a size smaller than normal size. I have always wore a 9 1/2 in all my shoes and boots but they seem to fit like an 8 1/2. They look even better than the photos, the grey as not so boring. These look sharp. The boot materials are premium, but the boa wire is not as heavy duty as I expected. It is a very thin and flexible, I hope it does not snap or fray over time. I bought men's size 13. They are roomy, even with neoprene footies and wool socks. But when submerged did pressurize a bit. This seemed to help with comfort especially on the toes. I can not get the boa as tight as I am accustomed to with traditional laces. First time out I felt myself being cautious because they are not as stable in that regard. I would n't say I am swimming in them but definitely a relaxed fit. I think it will just take some getting used to. I 'd be curious to see how a 12 would fit but did n't have the chance to try them on. All the recommendations were to size up from regular shoe. The way they drain water is no joke, made for very easy clean up and they seemed nearly dry by the time I got home. As far as the soles, traction seems up to par. The felt sole is thinner than some other brands. The rubber was nice for walking and one of the rivers I go to is mostly sand so perfect for that. They were not as easy to swap out as described, which i guess is good because they tried to address the problem of some folks losing their soles in the river. I had more trouble getting one of the orange tabs back in, it would not snap in properly. I had to use a screwdriver.

I already own these boots without the safety toe and love them. These are no different aside of the break- in period. The non- steel toe were like house slippers from day one. These have taken a few weeks of wear to soften up and I am still having an issue with my left boot, but the right is great. They are extremely comfortable and easy to stand on most of the day. They run perfect to size and the steel toe is not invasive like other brands I have tried. I work in an environment that has a number of silicone based chemicals on the floor and it is slippery, but not in these boots! I have not even come close since I started wearing them.
