I am an avid hiker and have always purchased salmon for their quality and comfort and this is probably the worst shoe I ’ ve ever purchased in all my years. They get so hot on my feet so fast and I can not leave them on for more than a 2- 3 hours with just regular socks. After only a month of wearing these the rubber notches on the bottoms of the shoe just started tearing off and now whenever there are rocks or sticks on the path the bottom of the shoe catches on those things because of the hanging notches so I trip so much. There is little to no ankle support and my shoe laces never ever stayed tied no matter how much I tie them. As a person who has always bought Salomon hiking boots I am extremely disappointed. I literally can ’ t even wear these. I have probably worn these less than 30 times since I bought them a year ago and am just using my old busted up Salomon ’s with holes in them and no tread on the bottom rather than these to hike. What a waste of money. Please do not buy.

This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I became interested in this style of boot due to me having bad/weak ankles. considering that im very active, i needed the support. i first tried the justin and after the second time of wearing them, quickly realized they were too stiff and too heavy and went to my local supply and tried on the georgia. i 've gone through three pair of which were each resouled atleast once and now about to pull the trigger on a fourth. with each pair, once broken in, feel like a pair of house slippers. as mentioned by others, the lether on the last two pair do seem to be a bit harder than previous. overall, i 'll have to give them a two thumbs up.

I received my boots 6- weeks ago and have worn them a dozen times building mountain bike trails in Northern California. The boots are very comfortable, have great traction and warm in cool weather. What I like best about the boots is that I am sure footed when working on steep grades, in mud, and in thick bushes. Plus having to hike in to get to a trail section may be over a mile which is no problem with these boots, just a joy splashing through rivers, muck, you name it.

I have had these boots for about 6months now. They look amazing and has been a very durable, I build houses from foundation to the roof so I say all environments and these have done well. The waterproofing has seem to do good so far but with winter coming I ’ ll really put them to the test. As for fit they do run tight, I even got a 10W and it ’s still pretty snugged on the sides, I ’ m assuming that ’s to get the square to incorporated in them that causes that. I would suggest maybe ordering a half size bigger than normal. Traction is pretty good for the everyday wear and work, if you ’ re going to be on hill sides all day this boot isn ’ t for you. I bought these boots due to online reviews, and they were on sale, making it a double bonus. They have a thick inner liner that keeps your feet warm but are very snug! I would have gone with the next size up if I had known. Still breaking them in, so as far as durability, I will find out. My last pair, Sorel, held up for almost 30 years so I 'm hoping these will be my last snow boot purchase! So far they are decent. I would recommend they switch to quick lace hooks, rather than the eyelets.

i bought my first pair in 2007. these are the most comfortable, well made boot ive ever owned and ive worn boots my whole life. this is my fourth pair now. a good 3 yr. boot wearing every day. im a builder and like the flat sole, doesnt pick up nearly the mud and is easy to get off when you do, slip on is fast when concrete shows up and ive got to get into rubber boots. quality, comfortable, rugged, customer for life here!

On my second pair, had a sole separation and were replaced without question. I live in a very unique climate, winter is cold wet snow and slush these are by far the best boot I have found for comfort and warmth.

I had a pair of Muckmaster boots and they lasted for 4 winters of daily dog walks, maintaining their waterproof quality even after the sole of one boot started to come away. My wife bought me a pair of these Arctic Sport boots and apart from the logo at first sight they appear( and fit) identical to the Muckmasters. The extra thermal protection does not change the fit. Construction quality appears to be very good with the same excellent materials. Hoping for some snow now to really test them out!

These are the warmest boots my husband has ever worn. We went ice fishing yesterday in 30 degree weather. His boots had his feet nice& toasty warm. I have a pair of a competitors boots and my feet were freezing all day. I am on my way to the store to try on womans versions of this boot so I can order them online once I know the right size. These boots are like puting on an awesome pair of mittens. Once you figure out what layers to wear for the right fit( chaffing). The group is great on slick snow and crunchy. With deep snow the neoprene uppers keep right and snug keeping the snow out. I ca n't wait to see how the handle the ADK shoulder season this spring.
