I 've been using wool socks almost exclusively for over a decade now. I 've experimented with a lot of different brands and even some yak and camel wool socks. For my money, Smartwool seems to be the winner and these targeted cushion crew socks specifically are the best I 've ever used in hotter weather. I like the lifetime warranty of a couple of other brands, but they are more restricting in the toes and my feet feel more damp in them. These just feel soft and non restrictive. I use barefoot style shoes for about everything and the natural foot shape allowing the toes to splay is great, but only if your socks allow your toes to do it too. These allow for that and are much easier to put on than toe socks. They also seem reasonably durable. I 'll be buying more!

[ I am an outdoor educational instructor and have tried “ all ” of the wool socks out there. Many are great but I find the smart wool brand to have a softer hand, so they are comfortable to wear, and they take a beating and keep going. There are times I have to wade a creek or run out in snow in socks only and these socks insulate superbly. If wet I can wring them out and put them back in and keep going. Excellent!

[ Best part of these socks is that I wear them everyday! They are great for any activity including day to day but also more intensive exercise. They pair well with any shoes that I have including basketball shoes, lifestyle shoes, soccer cleats, and even slides. I love how soft and comfortable they are. The heel fits great on my foot and the toe has extra cushion that helps my feet from hitting against the front of a shoe during more intensive exercise. They fit well on my leg and stay in place- one of my biggest issues with other socks is that they frequently slide down my leg but that ’s not the case here. My favorite part of them is the top part of the foot where the design is very comfortable but also breathable that keeps my foot cool and avoids it becoming stuffy( and stinky). Love this product!

My Zamberlan boots do n't have a lot of room. These socks have just the right amount of cushioning. Thus far, my feet do n't slip around. I have had no problems with hot spots or blister. I usually wear OR gaiters so I ca n't show you a pic of the socks, but I can show you a pic of the boots we wore in the Grand Canyon with these socks(-= Oh, they also have a lifetime warranty on their socks!

[ I wear these things multiple times in a row. They hold up well and do n't start to smell until maybe the 3rd day or so. And that's even after hiking through muddy trails with soggy feet. They do get a little stiff after sun- drying. I also dried them out by hanging them about 1. 3 ft. from a small fire once. No damage! I do n't necessarily recommend trying that, but now you know.

I really like these socks. In comparison to the elite crew they feel just as thick while at the same time feeling much lighter and less bulky. These feel much cooler on the feet. The elite crews feel like the old days of wearing 2 pairs of socks which can get a little hot. Not sure about durability, it is too early to tell but they appear to be holding up well so far. Price is a little high but they are good socks.

I 'm very happy with these socks. The fit is fantastic and they are a bit thicker than I was anticipating, but I like it a lot. They are quite comfortable and fit very well. My wife has even borrowed them because she loves the comfort and fit. My only minor issue is that there is an `` L '' and `` R '' on the side/front of each sock. It's annoying and I 'm not sure why it's necessary to identify which sock should be on each foot but oh well. I 'd absolutely order these again.

These are softest, most cushioning socks to wear with kicks, be it for sports or casual wear.
