I was fitted for these in a NB store in Winston- Salem, NC and immediately took them to a vacation walking around Yellowstone for a week. I thought I needed arch support more than anything, but these solved literally all the issues I had been having with my feet recently. They withstood this test and then some. The insoles are great, easy to trim and fit nicely in my New Balance sneakers. However, the COST for the insoles is as much as the shoe itself. That I found to be excessive. The insoles do not have a 'magic' formula, it is hard rubber. But I feel I paid TWICE for the shoe. One shoe without a proper fitting insole and another insole without the shoe! Next time I will consider Dr Scholl's or another brand for less than the cost of a New Balance sneaker.

This is the third pair of battery operated heated insoles I 've owned. They are an indispensable piece of gear that enables me to spend hours outdoors during the long winters in our high mountain climate. One of the features I like best is that this brand of insoles has a longer tab at the heel so you can actually grasp the tab in order to remove the insole when you are done. Other brands have a tab which is too short rendering it useless. I 've only had this particular pair for a couple months now so the jury is out as to how many winters I will get out of them. If they last more than two winters, I will write an update to my review. I wear them every day. This is the second pair of insoles I 've purchased with a remote. I have not been able to figure out how to pair either one of these models so I have never used the remote feature. Cant say that I miss it. I am in the process of purchasing as pair for my husband who works construction and is out doors all day sometimes. I will definitely purchase from this company again. Good products, prompt delivery.

I have a condition similar to Raynaud syndrome that leaves my extremities cold all the time. I 've tried wool, sherpa, cashmere all to no avail. When I came upon these I thought I would try them. They are wonderful. Easy to cut to fit shoe. Directions are a bit lacking, but one I figured it out, the insoles are easy to charge and use. I wear them all the time, indoors and out. I know some people said the high setting was too warm, but I find it the most comfortable setting. I am in love.

I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

I was able to get 4 months out of my first pair which is considerably good for this type of usage. Very comfortable and definitely stays dry when it ’s wet out. Minimal, breathable, just enough padding. I wear them daily because they allow my feet to breathe. They also feel great. I bought a black pair for work. This is my 4th pair of Trail Gloves and use them for daily work outs and light hikes on trails. I still wear an older pair for daily use. They are lightweight, comfortable, supportive, zero drop, and have a sturdier sole than the Vapor Trail( which I also like). These are great minimalist shoes, with a slightly more rugged sole. This is by far the most comfortable shoe I ’ ve owned. I ’ ve found the perfect shoe for my feet. I have an arch so the zero drop stuff isn ’ t all that comfortable for me, this shoe is minimal but has nice arch support. I bought 3 different pairs and now can ’ t go back and wear previous versions of the trail glove as they are too constricting and aren ’ t nearly as comfortable as this shoe.

[ This Keen Targhee Apex is a comfortable shoe! One of the first things I noticed is how quiet the outsole and midsole were when walking around the store on carpet and cement. They 've since been on a dusty hike and a rainy road- to- trail hike. Nice cushioning, stability, and no dust nor water got inside the shoes. Since these shoes are nearly white you can see that some dirt has stayed in the crease on the forefooot even after being hosed off.( Again, no water got inside.) Fit wise, these have a neutral insole, roomier toebox, and wider heel. To keep my foot from sliding forward and to have a better fit for my heel I will add Superfeet insoles. This shoe runs true to size so I went up 1/2 a size to allow for swelling on longer and hot hikes. Nice shoe. I look forward to seeing how it feels after putting more miles on it.

This was my first pair of hikers. I love Keen shoes, so decided to try the Targhee Apex in the Abby stone/birch color. They were on sale for 25 percent off, which was a good price. They are light weight and cute, not clunky looking. The color is cute and not something everyone is wearing. However, I have a lazy baby toe, so need a little more room in the toe box. Unfortunately, I will have to send them back because of this.
