Perfect Gym Bag
I got this backpack so that I could hit the gym after work. Fits my airpods, 40oz water bottle, weight belt, chalk, knee sleeves, plus some shorts and a workout shirt+ lifting shoes. As you can see the bottl sticks out but I don ’ t mind, it ’s a snug fit and the bottle has never fallen out.

This pack surprised me on the upside. For my daily needs, I only need 16 liters, but I carry a 13 '' laptop and want good organization. This pack delivers. It's a very good design and great materials. Well thought out internal organization. My only gripe is the fabric used for the top quick access pocket feels like cheap sweatshirt material. It wo n't scratch sunglasses, but I 'd prefer something a little nicer. That said, I give this pack a thumbs up.

It is exactly what I was looking for in an everyday pack that I can also use for day hikes. The pockets are great, the straps are all adjustable and there even a whistle on the chest strap. Lots of options for attachment of items such as poles on the exterior of the pack. I love the small fleece pocket at the top of the bag. The outer pocket is great for putting wet or smelly items in. The water bottle pockets can be a bit of squeeze if you have a full pack for a Nalgene but it still fits. There is also a hole for a hydration bladder to fit through. Overall great pack for everyday life and day adventures! Love it.

Bought this pack a few months ago as a dayhike/laptop bag. Works great for both. My only disappointment was the trekking pole loops, which FUNCTION, but I typically carry them in one of the side stretch pockets as the bungees are not especially robust. Do not expect to be able to carry more than a rain jacket, down jacket, and a few essentials.

I 've been using my Zulu 65 for the past few months... some late summer& fall backpacking trips and winter river trip. It's one of the most comfortable packs I 've used before, and it has great pockets for side gear and wallet/phone/keys access. I 've used it for one to three day backpacking trips and it's been perfect. I plan on putting it to the test for a week trip coming up soon. Gregory just makes solid packs!

Get After it
[ I am pretty impressed with this pack. I have a few very high end hunting packs and they always seem to cut off some hip circulation. With a 3 night off trial campsite this pack was fantastic! I was skeptical but this pack performed very well. I really liked the U- zip access, huge hip pockets, and the side pockets that I can grab a waterbottle from while wearing the pack. A couple of things I did n't like: those huge hip pockets left no room for a bear spray holster, there is no way for the lid to double as a separate pack for little jaunts from camp, and the hip belt was maxed tight on my 34 '' waist in the Med/LG frame choice. I could get the waist belt tight enough but if I stopped eating cookies...

I purchased this backpack three months ago and let me just say it is the best purchase I have ever made regarding backpacks! It is very practical for both outdoor usage and every day office usage. I travel quite a bit for work and I love going outdoors so I ’ m able to test this backpack in all settings. It ’s light but durable and it has the perfect amount of storage space and pockets. Not only that it ’s completely unique, how many people know about this brand and so I get a lot of compliments. Because I ’ m not wearing that every day known brand. All in all, I highly recommend this bag. It is extremely durable and it is a unique article to have.

[ We just got hit pretty much back- to- back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go- bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

[ I ’ ve taken it on one back country trip and a few other over nighters, and have found the pack to be great. I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren ’ t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I ’ m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.

I purchased this pack as a lightweight and smaller option for weekend trips. I have the diva 60 and love it for bigger trips with a heavier pack. So far I have used my facet 45 on a 3- day hike in the Grand Canyon. I absolutely love it! I think I will be using this much more than my bigger pack for weekend trips! My load only ended up being about 25 lb but it felt like I was carrying nothing! I love that the hip belt is long enough to wrap all the way around my hips. This may be an issue for smaller hikers. I am 5'10 and weigh 125 lb. With a loaded pack the hip belt was as tight as it goes but I was able to get it just as tight as I needed! Any smaller and I 'd have a hard time getting it as tight as I want. I was also surprised how tall the medium was for me! I have a hard time getting packs that are tall enough since I have a long torso. This pack fit me perfectly! I had enough room up above to use the shoulder straps to take some weight off of my shoulders. This pack seems to be the perfect balance between comfort and lightweight! I love the springy trampoline feel around my back. I hike a lot in the desert so having air flow between my back and my pack is important to me. The pack had just enough pockets to keep me organized. I love that a water bottle can slide into the side pockets and be accessed easily while walking. The material seems high quality and it seems like it will last me for many years of hiking! Highly recommend!

MINION (AT Class of 2024)
I loved this pack so much I carried it all the way from Georgia to Maine on my 2024 Appalachian Trail thru hike. I swapped the brain for the rain flap to save weight, as the Facet is a happy medium between UL and trampoline framed packs. The materials are hydrophobic and didn ’ t require a pack cover with my dry stuff in a dynema pack liner. Although 45L inside, this bag swallows an enormous amount of gear and its thoughtful design made it easy to pack and carry for 6 1/2 months. I didn ’ t need to carry a bunch of stuff outside of the pack because everything fit, and it ’s low profile made it easy to squeeze through tight spaces without taking it off. I could easily access water bottles from the side pockets on the move with everything cinched tightly thanks to the stretch mesh pockets being outside of the side straps. The hip belt pockets held ample snacks, headphones, pepper spray, sanitizer, gum and fits a pro max iphone. Even though i was dragging it on rocks and other trail abuses, the materials are durable and held up. The only downsides were the perimeter frame would sometimes squeak if I overloaded it way past the 30lbs maximum( a reminder to not resupply hungry!) and I wish the hip belt on the M/L could get smaller. I washed it twice with dish soap in a bathtub when the straps got too stinky, but this pack had noticeably less funk than what others in my trail fam were carrying. Polygiene for the win! Overall, the Facet/Focal is an underrated but exceptionally comfortable and durable bag for long- distance backpacking. I am 5 ’ 6 ” with a 17 ” torso and the M/L fit like a glove which is weird for a pack. I would take it again and look forward to future adventures with this pack.

I bought this pack to upsize from my GregoryJuno 30 for desert tortoise survey work. I LOVE that it comes in extra small to fit my short torso. It was comfortable enough to wear for 8+ hours/day and fit all my required gear. I did feel some discomfort while carrying 4 liters of water plus gear for long distances but this may have been more of a personal problem than a problem with the pack or its fit- I felt fine after dropping to 3 liters or less. The hip belt pockets provided enough room for a leatherman, sunscreen stick, chapstick, and lens wipes. The belt straps seemed a bit long, but better too long than too short. I liked that I could clip my GPS unit to the elastic loop on the shoulder strap( not as ideal as the loop on the juno 30 strap, but still worked). My hydration bladder did not fit perfectly on the rservoir hanger hardware, so it took some extra effort to get in and out of the pack, but it was worth not having to buy an entirely new reservoir. Since this bag is meant more for backpacking, it had fewer organizing pockets than a standard daypack but worked fine, especially with separate ditty bags for some of my gear. The side mesh water bottle pockets were a strength- they seemed durable and could be loaded either from the top or at an angle to make it easy to reach in while walking. I feel like the ventilation gap helped me stay cool in the desert heat. Overall this is a great pack and I 'd definitely recommend it for use as an outdoors work bag.

[ Great sturdy pack! Comfortable to carry- true fit. Plenty of pockets to stay organized, especially with the hip belt pockets! The mesh side pockets are large enough to hold two water bottles in one pocket if needed. The bladder is great. I put it in the hydration pocket and fed the hose through to my front and put the magnet on the opposite pack strap, it worked perfectly. I dislike the adjustable loops on the bottom of the pack to hold your tent or sleeping pad. It was difficult to push my tent through the loops, it would make more sense to have buckles on the loops to easily open and adjust them. It's also hard to adjust them since they feed through to where the water bottle mesh pockets are so you would need to remove your water bottles to adjust while on the trail. I also dislike the extra opening on the mesh water bottle pockets. If I am packing light I usually only take one pocket for an extra water bottle and the other pocket to store things I want to access easily while I am walking like my phone, snacks, camera, etc- things that are too big for the hip belt pockets. Some things would stay in the pack but when I took it off and set it down they would fall out of that extra hole. I know some people prefer this style of pocket so maybe it could be an option when choosing your pack?

[ I love the Rover pack, and I use it regularly for work and school purposes. Great quality and fun color options, and it ’s also ideal for traveling as a carry- on. [ I had been looking for a pack that would work for to and from, and on location job site. Had to hold my laptop, mouse, full size keyboard( keychron 100 percent). Topo has always been one of my top go to brands for pack and gear. The water seal for zips on the tech version works fantastic. Dry as a bone. Built like a tank and personally find the black on black logo super rad. As far as keyboards go you should be able to fit full size in there. This is the pack if you want rugged adventure ready pack that can dual purpose for work.

Great bag. Great size. I bought this bag to replace another 40L bag I had for work and daily use. I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. I recently traveled across the country with it and it held up great. The straps and back panel make it comfortable to wear, the roll top makes throwing and grab large items easy, and it did well holding up to a light snow flurry while I was out( though I feel the material would struggle with a heavy soak). I bike commute and found this bag to be useful even to throw a few groceries in on the way home. Overall if you 're looking for a good size do anything bag this is a good fit.

[ I love this pack. It ’s my mtb trail building pack. I can fit my sawing helmet in the little helmet spot. Which is great. Tons of room! Just enough pockets. I really dig the hip pocket. I find the quality to be super durable. Almost to a fault because the only annoying thing is sometimes the zipper on the main pouch can be a B to zip.
