I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. In my opinion this is the best Coleman Stove. The clicking igniter is more durable than the push button type and it does n't move the whole stove when trying to lite- up. The wind deflectors are simple and perform as advertised, the grate is durable and provides adequate support. I expect to have 50 year life with this stove in which it will outlast me. I 'm pretty happy with this stove. It fits nicely inside my kettle, works well for larger pans( even up to 8 inches), and get's nice and hot. I paired it with stabilizer legs as with the large canisters it can get quite tall. The one downside is having to bring a separate igniter.

I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. We had our food and a gallon of water. Spent the entire day at lake lousie and kept everyone nourished. They all have a place in our camp setup.

This stove is pretty easy to use and has a straight forward design. It ’s functioned well in both hot and cold weather for me multiple times. I don ’ t know if it is any more effective than a pocket rocket for most people. But if you are boiling larger pots of water for a whole group the extra support of the legs really help keep things stable. All in all I would recommend this stove it might not be the lightest but works like a charm!

Recently did a trip with some buddies in the White Mountains. We summited North and South Twin, Zealand, and Hale. It was late December so temperatures were around 20F. After letting the stove heat up for about a minute, I flipped the canister upside down to put it in four season mode. I do n't remember how long it took to boil my water but our elevation was about 4600' and it did n't feel very long. The stove was even so compact that I fit it into my 1L pot, along with a small rag and my zippo. I 've only used it in the field a handful of times but the thing seems bombproof. I even spilled a bunch of water on it and after lighting it again, it only took a few seconds to clear the water and work normally again. Definitely recommend!

My 1L msr pot fits well on it. Probably could fit a 250 g canister and this burner in the pot( have not tried). Nice feature of being able to flip the canister with the built in tripod. Only feature I miss is an ignition.

On our first outing, I lit the stove, placed the pot over the top, then added 14 ozs of water. I had a boil going within two minutes, then I added my pre- mixed dehydrated meal of beans and rice. 5 minutes later, I had beans, rice and Fritos for 4 people after a long day of hiking the TX Trails. I have an overland sprinter van so this is nice when I want to cook with fire outside instead of the induction cooktop in the van. Everything store quick and easy in its own carrying case. The little propane bottles last quite a long time when using this. Not a huge fan of the lid for the pan but also don ’ t really use it at all for it to be an issue. Great little stove.

About as compact as it gets with a regulated backpacking stove. I usually prefer the systems like Flash and MicroMo, but I always keep an extra MightyMo in my kit. Game changer. I stopped using my Karu for a while because I got lazy about burning wood. I still prefer wood, of course, but this is so easy!!! I ’ m still learning to control the heat for other foods- didn ’ t nail my tomahawk- but I know I ’ ll figure it out. Very happy with this addition!

[ Works as it should. Can get back of stone up to 850°, front low 7s. Have been using in pretty cool temps so that may make a difference. Recommended to keep front door off makes it a little harder to heat I would imagine. Satisfied overall though- it ’s quick and easy if you don ’ t feel like messing with wood.

[ Have used the MSR remote adapter several times with 3 different gas stoves. The MSR gas flow control valve is excellent. I was able to cook some great meals using the full range of the burner.

Have used the LowDown on two occasions already and this is an excellent platform for stability. I use a 14 cup GSI percolator and that's quite a large coffee pot on a stove like the MSR Pocket Rocket Deluxe. Not one issue in connecting everything and perfect stability. Good camping!
