I ’ m a long time kamado user that was looking to add the speed and ease of a griddle to my cooking arsenal. My research led me to the Gridiron, and woo boy, does it live up to the early hype it ’s received. Solid construction, even heating, easy leveling adjustments, conveniently placed grease trap, folding side tables, and an excellent lid make this unit a no- brainer. Oh, and it looks awesome. I bought this for my Woodwind and used it with my Deluxe Grill Box that I already had for my 2 burner stove. I was able to make amazing burgers for my wife and they even had nice sear marks. I was smoking a brisket for the next day at the same time. I love the versatility this burner adds to my smoker. Keep up the great work Camp Chef!

I really liked the idea of the sear box, but after using this you can get better results and you have way more versatility. The Grill Box accessory will act as a sear box, the Side Kick has a larger burner and using the thermometer on the grill box gives you more control over your cooking. Add the Artisan Outdoor Oven and you have outfitted your Woodwind to the greatest outdoor cooking potential on the market. I have a very nice wood- fired pizza oven, but I do n't always want to fire it up just to do a few pizzas. The included griddle is of course Camp Chef quality and rounds off the package making the picture complete. Being a retired chef and former contractor, I only buy the very best and this set up is clearly it. I do have an amazing chef quality kitchen, but even living at 9000 ft elevation in the Rocky Mountains I have n't cooked one meal inside since I made this purchase!

This has been a great addition to my pellet grill and allowed me to ditch my Weber and pizza oven, making my patio less messy. Converted to natural gas, which was a little convoluted, but everything works. Would be great if they offered it already converted for natural gas.

I bought this stove last summer for a car camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was frustrated with the lighter but then realized what altitude I was actually at and piezo lighters do n't work so remember this when you go to altitude with it. Below 7400ish youre good. The power these burners have is amazing, great for fast cooks or for a big group. It works great with cast iron and I liked the flexibility. It boils water incredibly fast with the 20k btu burners, faster than my gas range at home. It is a little bulkier than other stoves but perfect for camping or a quick picknic, I 've even used it at the sledding hills for making cocoa. I opted to get an adapter and a 5lb tank and after multiple uses I 'm still well over 3/4 of a tank.

I have not used my Everest 2X camping yet but did test it out as soon as I received it. I filled a two qt. sauce pan with 1 1/2 quarts of cold tap water( at sea level) and fired it up. On full high the water boiled in 3 minutes 50 seconds, much faster than kitchen range. Amazing high heat and it sounds like a jet engine. It also simmers at very low heat( wind was moderate) without any trouble. My only issue, which seems to have self- resolved, was one of the burner's igniter did not spark. After turning the igniter knob 5- 10 times in succession it began to spark intermittently and then it worked consistently. I 've only used the stove once for this test before taking it into the field so I 'll have to see if it continues to ignite properly. I purchased the 2' extension hose and 1lb. canister stand for convenience and canister placement options. Bothe that hose and the included hard pipe connector worked perfectly and I did not experience any leakage( as some reported with the hard pipe) on either connector. Ca n't wait to cook some meals while camping. The Everest 2X seems to be a very well made unit and is capable of crazy high temps and cooking speed if necessary. Highly recommended.

Bought this 2 years ago. I have been acquainted with Coleman stoves most of my life, but thoroughly blown out by this stove. Does Coleman make a great stove? You bet ’ cha. But this stove means I can cook anything I can get the ingredients near the stove. Best country flapjacks ever. Fabulous beef bean and cheese Dutch oven dish. I can use my old Lodge cast iron, or my newish gsi dualist, even that can make great pancakes if I can stop making them an inch and a half thick!

[ Family is into camping now and trying to cook a big breakfast on two small WhisperLite stoves just is n't cutting it. Tested it out this weekend and wow! Super easy to light. Electric start, but twist to light, no reliance on batteries. Sounds like a jet engine when dialed all the way up, boiled water in just a few minutes. Can cook a feast with this thing! Solid construction, not very heavy, but it is large. Its' perfect as a car camping stove, tailgating, or even as an emergency backup stove if you lose power( for those of us with electric stoves). Very happy with it.

Bought the drip tray last year after I upgraded my flat griddle to the SG- 100 and had not used it until this year for our annual camping trip. I was looking at how to make clean up easier when I can across these for other grills and griddles, I was very pleased to find that Camp Chef had made some for their drip tray because it works beautifully. And one cup lasted for three mornings of Sausage, Bacon and Eggs for about 6 people plus a little extra bacon for lunch one afternoon.
