I gave the rating of 5 stars but really 4. 5 stars if they made an attachment that you could hang a pot or kettle from then it would be a 5 star. With that said I truly love this setup I have cook eggs pancakes sausage beacon tortilla. It's has seasoned will. I 've been using it on camping trips and plan on using it at home. I 'm going to replace my outdoor metal fireplace with a fire pit so I can use it instead of my BBQ. I like how well it works with wood. I have told all of my friends and family.

I use this grill for multi- day hikes. I augment my backpacking stove with this grill, especially when I make a fire pit and decide to cook over the pit. The grill works well when using a small layer of charcoal or firewood since there is n't enough height for larger pieces of wood. I purchased my Deluxe BBQ Box a few weeks ago and I am very happy that I did. Our first test run was some simple cheeseburgers for dinner and they turned out amazing. The burgers cooked through to our liking and had some nice grille marks and remained juicy. Better than any BBQ grill that I have ever used. We were so happy we threw on more of them for lunches later in the week. We did some chicken the other night and it was delicious. Stayed moist and cooked through with no burns from an open flame. Hotdogs and New York strips marinated in- Worcestershire sauce, Montreal steak seasoning, lemon juice and fresh diced garlic cloves! then Frozen. Then thawed and brought to room temperature where they sat until it was time to grill. On a side note, the more and more that I use and get familiar with this little Coleman travel Grill, I have to admit I am falling in love with it. I stripped the* Cast Iron grates*, cleaned them and re seasoned them to my liking. I also purchased a hose adapter to run a 20 lb bulk tank but have not used it yet. The idea that I can switch between 1 lb cylinders or bulk tanks is definitely a win for me depending on what I am doing. The heat control from right to left side of the grill is phenomenal. This propane grill is going to be awesome for camping during burn bans and traveling. I also did a little research and there are aftermarket grille inserts that I can purchase to accommodate breakfast with either a full griddle or a half griddle as well as a `` stovetop burner Style insert '' for resting your Coleman percolator coffee pot on. Then, to sweeten the deal even more this grill actually folds down and Tucks right away in the back of my minivan either standing up vertically or laying down flat. I plan on building a removable shelf to go over the grill in the storage position so I can still utilize the space in the back without having awkward angles to rest stuff on. Coming from a guy that has used various charcoal grills and split burning smokers, I love the convenience of this little propane grill and and it has received a huge thumbs up on my YouTube channel. I do plan on buying the grill inserts at a future date.

This is the third Roadtrip grill I ’ ve owned over the last several years. They ’ ve all cooked great and been very mobile( which helps when the Navy moves you every couple years), but this version is also very easy to clean. The third burner, relocated gas hookup, and safety latch( when folded) are all great improvements. I have read the other reviews and I ca n't believe they would rate this grill 4 stars instead of 5 because of a lid latch or carry bag. How long have you people camped and how do you travel that a lid latch would make a different, are you 4 wheeling, come- on now. Great grill, works perfectly, perfect size, travels well( even without a latch or carry bag) this is camping folks not a eat out at the Ritz. I have been camping for over 55 years and this is one of the best medium size grills I have run across. Figures it would be made by Coleman.

I bought this for my Woodwind and used it with my Deluxe Grill Box that I already had for my 2 burner stove. I was able to make amazing burgers for my wife and they even had nice sear marks. I really liked the idea of the sear box, but after using this you can get better results and you have way more versatility. The Grill Box accessory will act as a sear box, the Side Kick has a larger burner and using the thermometer on the grill box gives you more control over your cooking. Add the Artisan Outdoor Oven and you have outfitted your Woodwind to the greatest outdoor cooking potential on the market. I have a very nice wood- fired pizza oven, but I do n't always want to fire it up just to do a few pizzas. The included griddle is of course Camp Chef quality and rounds off the package making the picture complete. Being a retired chef and former contractor, I only buy the very best and this set up is clearly it. I do have an amazing chef quality kitchen, but even living at 9000 ft elevation in the Rocky Mountains I have n't cooked one meal inside since I made this purchase!

Fits beautifully over the grille. The grill side is perfect for marking hot dog rolls/burger rolls or any item you choose. Once you got this baby smoking hot you can sear meat quickly and professionally, from steaks to roasts to fish to scallops. Especially scallops! With a good oven thermometer you can find the sweet spot needed for high temp or warming. I flip it to the griddle side and get it it up to 600f and pop a pizza into a seasoned pizza pan and it cooks like a pizza oven. I 've even stretched thin crust right onto the cast iron.

I bought this stove last summer for a car camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was frustrated with the lighter but then realized what altitude I was actually at and piezo lighters do n't work so remember this when you go to altitude with it. Below 7400ish youre good. The power these burners have is amazing, great for fast cooks or for a big group. It works great with cast iron and I liked the flexibility. It boils water incredibly fast with the 20k btu burners, faster than my gas range at home. It is a little bulkier than other stoves but perfect for camping or a quick picknic, I 've even used it at the sledding hills for making cocoa. I opted to get an adapter and a 5lb tank and after multiple uses I 'm still well over 3/4 of a tank.

I have not used my Everest 2X camping yet but did test it out as soon as I received it. I filled a two qt. sauce pan with 1 1/2 quarts of cold tap water( at sea level) and fired it up. On full high the water boiled in 3 minutes 50 seconds, much faster than kitchen range. Amazing high heat and it sounds like a jet engine. It also simmers at very low heat( wind was moderate) without any trouble. My only issue, which seems to have self- resolved, was one of the burner's igniter did not spark. After turning the igniter knob 5- 10 times in succession it began to spark intermittently and then it worked consistently. I 've only used the stove once for this test before taking it into the field so I 'll have to see if it continues to ignite properly. I purchased the 2' extension hose and 1lb. canister stand for convenience and canister placement options. Bothe that hose and the included hard pipe connector worked perfectly and I did not experience any leakage( as some reported with the hard pipe) on either connector. Ca n't wait to cook some meals while camping. The Everest 2X seems to be a very well made unit and is capable of crazy high temps and cooking speed if necessary. Highly recommended.

Bought this 2 years ago. I have been acquainted with Coleman stoves most of my life, but thoroughly blown out by this stove. Does Coleman make a great stove? You bet ’ cha. But this stove means I can cook anything I can get the ingredients near the stove. Best country flapjacks ever. Fabulous beef bean and cheese Dutch oven dish. I can use my old Lodge cast iron, or my newish gsi dualist, even that can make great pancakes if I can stop making them an inch and a half thick!

Got this size as it's big enough for our family of 5 but small enough to fit on our modest sized deck. When we need space on the deck, folding the shelves makes it a lot smaller and compact, I 've even stored it in our shed collapsing the legs down so it lays flat.
