[ This actually comes double boxed which I really like because it protects the product. It is very heavy because of the pot being cast iron. The pot is a 5 gallon cast iron with feet and it's pre- seasoned which is awesome. It also has an aluminum lid to cover the pot. The frame of the pot you bought together so it's provides extra sturdiness for the cooker. It's heated by using a propane tank. This is awesome for tailgating or for camping because even though it's called the jambalaya pot you can virtually cook tons of stuff in this like chili or soups or do a fish fry. The only thing it says you can not use it for is to fry a whole turkey which is understandable because it's only 5 gallon. If you love camping or tailgating or just like to have a pot instead of a grill this is awesome to have. For my large family we do a lot of Chili's and gumbos and soups so this is going to really be great on our next camping trip in a couple of weeks

[ I received this King Kooker Jambalaya Pot Package in exchange for my honest review. I couldn ’ t be happier with this cast iron cooker. I could tell it was a serious cooking system even before I opened the box; it was so heavy. Assembly was easy. The instructions were clear, and everything came together quickly. The cast iron pot is solid, which is great for even heat distribution and durability. The pot ’s stand is stable, even in my grassy yard. Connecting a gas tank was effortless. Once assembled, the whole unit was sturdy and well- built. It will definitely last through many outdoor cookouts and will serve many people. I highly recommend this system for anyone who enjoys cooking outdoors. It ’s a great value and of excellent quality!

[ Alright so I tried the King Kooker Jambalaya Mix the other night, and honestly, it kind of surprised me. I ’ m not some pro chef or anything, but I do mess around in the kitchen a lot and wanted something easy but still legit. I didn ’ t just use the mix straight up though. I added in my own protein — I threw in some sausage and crawfish — and I cooked up the trinity( onion, celery, bell pepper) before mixing it all together. The rice in the mix cooked up nice, not too mushy or dry, and it actually had some flavor on its own. Like, it wasn ’ t bland like a lot of boxed rice stuff. I still seasoned the meat and veggies a little before adding them just to be safe. The spice level wasn ’ t crazy, just enough to give it a little kick without being too much. I think if I hadn ’ t added the trinity and meat it would ’ ve still be tasty, but with that stuff added it actually tasted pretty close to something homemade. Only thing is, if you like your rice extra fluffy or you want more heat, you might want to tweak it a bit. But for something that comes in a box, it was pretty fire. I ’ d totally make it again, maybe try adding seafood next time. Definitely worth it if you ’ re hungry and don ’ t feel like spending forever cooking.

[ I made smaller batches of jambalaya using this rather than one giant pot. You can keep it simple by just adding some meat/seafood. My favorite things to add are shrimp, smoked sausage and chicken. Or really dress it up by also adding bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic, onions, bacon. Actually, I enjoy making just the rice with the seasoning as a delicious and flavorful side. The perfect ratio for me is 2 cups rice, 4 cups chicken broth and two heaping tablespoons of seasoning. It ’s a nice flavor without being over powering. I would highly recommend this product! It makes meal time a little bit simpler.
