I love my Chacos! I 've had these for about 3 weeks now and they are AWESOME so far. I have n't fully tested their capability of handling the outdoors such as a light hike or at a rocky beach but I have used them often for errands and light outdoor walks and they 've been incredibly supportive. Where I live, there are uphills and downhills literally everywhere( got ta love the PNW), these do n't slide on me at all and they provide a good grip on the ground though I 'm not sure if the grip would be just as good if the group was wet from rain or if I tried to walk through mud. Getting used to how the straps work took me a little bit, these were my first ever Chaco slides lol 😆 I am very excited to use these once the weather truly warms up in late spring and summer! We 'll see how they do when I want to cross a creek

I wanted something I could wear more as a casual sandal, and that looked a little nicer. I LOVE these! Awesome! Got these looking for more arch support in a sandal and hoping to wear them hiking. Just wore them for 6+ miles of backpacking with no issue, super comfortable! Only thing I 'd change is the ability to tighten the straps more, I have relatively narrow feet and tightening them all the way does n't quite do it.( Not a deal breaker though) I sized down a half size and was able to comfortably hike in them while wearing 2 pairs of wool socks.

These are more comfortable than my other pair of Volv chacos due to the thicker straps on the mega cloud. The buckle strap will loosen on me but it the sandals stay tight enough though the toes and arch that they still feel secure. One thing that was odd to me is these came with a plastic buckle instead of the metal one that was advertised. However this is n't a deal breaker to me. Just something to note.

I liked the idea of the wider straps( which are in fact just a hair over 30mm, despite being described as 35mm in some places) but was n't so sure about the metal buckle. Turns out the wider straps really are more comfortable. The metal buckle seems like it might be very slightly more prone to slippage than the plactic ones, but it has n't been an issue after a couple of weeks of active use. I have n't gone wading through any strong currents in these yet, though...

I ’ ve had Chacos forever. I wear them all summer and pride myself on the Chaco tan line. But, I finally decided to upgrade my older version Z2s to these Z1s. So much easier to put on in a pinch. Less shifting of the straps. Took no time to break in. Never thought I would appreciate the cushy footbed but it is really nice. Will feel bad if I don ’ t wear my old Z2s as much- but I will certainly pull them out for canyoneering as they feel a little more robust( and I ’ ve tested them a lot more).

Slipped these on and they felt like coming home. Honestly, the straps feel softer, the grip is sturdy, and I know these are outdoor sandals that will last YEARS. I wear a size 7 in all sandals and casual shoes. 7. 5 in anything athletic for a bit more toe room. 7 regular fits true to size and comparatively to my Z3s purchased in 2015, which also has the old vibram outsole, they are the same size and shape foot bed. Photos for reference, both womens 7. Obviously my oldies needed a revamp and still plan to get them re soled but I couldn ’ t wait and had to experience the 6x the grip! Can ’ t wait to take these for a real spin but the durability is in the feel right off the bat. Worth every penny!!
