Pro: I have only had the bench a couple of weeks, but in that time I have found it a very sturdy and versatile piece of equipment. The adjustable back allows me to work my chest from multiple angles, hit my rear shoulder and back with chest supported raises and dumb bell rows, and the leg attachment lets me finish off my legs after a squat work out. Con: The major issue I have with the bench is that it sits kind of high off of the ground and I have kind of short legs, so I have a hard time getting a good leg drive on my bench.

First, the instructions for putting this together were first class. They were very clear, and each step's nuts and bolts were shrink wrapped to a labeled piece of cardboard with drawings of the included nuts and bolts. Secondly this is a very durable bench and has gotten a lot of use by the whole family. My single complaint is that I am short( 5' 3 '') and while I can use it, I would have felt better if it were an inch lower to the ground. However, perhaps a tall person would be inconvenienced by that. I can certainly reach the leg curl rollers, so it works fine.

I can understand why people have some issues. If you are a serious body builder, buy another set up. I bought this with the idea of working out to stay in shape. It is perfect for that. Being able to move the bench independently from the rack is awesome. Pros-- easy to build and use. Very versatile. The leg developer is a great asset. The unit is well built and sturdy. You can turn the bench sideways and place it in front of the rack reducing the overall footprint considerably. Cons-- once you have about 80 lbs on the leg developer/preacher curl, the bench begins to get light in the back. You can place some weight on the bench to offset. Decline bench is n't going to happen without long arms or someone to lift the weight off. The rack raises and lowers just fine, but doesn not lower enough to perform decline olympic bar presses. Dumbell decline presses are just fine though. Also, the preacher curl grips do not spin so use gloves. Overall, this product is great!! The cons are few and can be remedied... minus decline press.

For over four decades I have been a weight lifter and it would be fair to say I might know a few things on the topic. Because it has been so long in training I finally decided to get out of the gyms and take it home. The above named bench is one of the products I bought so I could train at home away from the crowds. Here is what I found. The instructions showed a drawing on paper for every part to be identified. Once identification is made, the instructions went just as they are written and It went together easy. The unit is stable on the floor and is a quality item in strength. I am able to do supine and incline press positions. There is a place on the slant rail to engage a full 90 degree upright position if one wanted back support for shoulders. However, when brought to this position the seat pad and the back pad conflict in the fold as both pads now touch and the unit will not lock into position. I do n't require a full upright position so I have said nothing about it to Dick's. It is a good bench and for me not worth complaining. The adjustable seat pad is great as it will keep you in the saddle and your body stable on the bench with any weight. I like it.

Solid, easy to put together…the bench is lacking. Its wobbly so I bought the stand alone Ethos utility bench. Now that bench is as sturdy as the ones at the gym. Those two paired together is as good as going to the gym.
