We bought this for my son after he got hit in the face by a batted ball. It helped him feel safe and gave him confidence to go back out in the field immediately after losing a tooth. He used it for a few games until he decided to take it off. We practiced getting hit in the face with it a few times and it was very absorbent and helped him feel real secure if something happened again. It was a good security blanket until he felt better about taking it off.

I did n't know they made a grey one!! Sweet I 'll be buying one soon. I love this product. I wear a petzl strato helmet for tree work, and a Stihl Advance for ground work. The strato is a buckled bike style safety helmet and Stihl is a hard hat type helmet. The `` ninja' mask as I call works with both helmets. I also wear it under my baseball hats. This is my favorite winter work accessory. It makes those freezing cold mornings not suck so much. One of the best features is that it quickly dries. I throw mine on my dash and after a ten minute trip to a different job site it's dry and ready to wear again.

My 12 year old son got smoked in the face last weekend by an inside fastball. It was the second time that he has taken a pitch to the face/helmet over the past few years, and both times this helmet and C- Flap jaw gaurd has saved him. He is good, they classified it as mild symptoms. No cognitive activity for a couple of days and no physical activity for a couple of weeks. We all know that this could have been much worse. The doctor at Children's said that wearing the face guard definitely saved him from bigger injuries. Do not know if the C- Flap jaw gaurd is supposed to shatter the way it did but who cares, it has done its job twice. It is worth it's weight in gold and then some.
