My son has only used the helmet at camp and in clinics, so I do n't know how it performs during a game, but I assume it will be fine. My 13 year old daughter seems to have a smaller head so this works perfectly for her. the one thing she did n't like about this helmet is the chin strap is wierd. It is like a canvas strap- not stretchy like the RIP- IT brand helmets have. i do n't think she will be using that at all.
