[ Very impressed with the workmanship of this Kayak. The seat is very comfortable and an all day sit while paddling or fishing is doable. The storage is convenient and keeps my items dry. You can stand to fish with a little practice as this kayak it very stable with the hill design. It is heavier than some cheaper models but the overall plastic thickness of the kayak is much greater than others I looked at. This also makes it more durable and in my opinion will last twice as long as other models. The rail system on both sides works well as well as the paddle holder on the side that is predrilled from the factory. If you are planning on using a fish finder the predrilled spot under the kayak is great for the transducer. Overall an excellent kayak in the mid price range.

Quest Canyon Review Disclaimer: I was sent this kayak to review as a promotion, free of charge. First Thoughts: It is a striking color combination with the different blues in the hull and the neon shock cords. It looks well- built and should handle many years of use if stored and taken care of. Weight and Handling: The kayak is easy to carry with two people. It can be done with 1 person, but there are no handholds on the side of the kayak. You can carry it by the edge, but it will dig into your hand and the edge is sharp. This could be remedied with some foam in the future. At 44lbs it was easy enough to load into the back of my truck and it's lighter than other kayaks I own. On the water: The kayak is very stable, so stable you can stand up in it easily. I ’ m 6 ’ and around 215 pounds and I felt like I had plenty of room to maneuver. The footrests gave my legs plenty of options in terms of comfort level. The seat is like others that offer a fold- down backrest, but with the cutout for the seat, it felt like it gave my back more support, kind of a hybrid between a folding backrest and a molded backrest. This is a kayak for people of all abilities. My 9- year- old was able to use it all the way up to my 15 year old. This would be a perfect kayak for a beginner or an extra to have on hand for taking a friend. Amenities: This is a basic entry- level kayak, and there is nothing wrong with that. You have bungee storage in the back and a place for a 5- gallon bucket( I wish I would have had one on hand to test). You have places in the front and the back of the boat to tie down. You can also use the under- seat area for storage as well as the covered part in the front. The molded water bottle holder is easy enough to reach, it could be a little deeper or have an added piece of bungee to tie things down a bit. Summary: All in all, this is a good all- around kayak. It's comfortable and easy to use for the beginner kayaker to the experienced. This is a kayak that you can buy on the way to the river or lake and have a great day.

DISCLAIMER: I received the Quest Canyon 100 kayak free of charge in exchange for my honest opinions, beliefs and experiences. No other compensation is included, especially monetary. As always, I will recommend my review not be the only one referred to when making decisions on potential purchases, as I am one perspective amongst many. TL; DR: For the price of an average pair of headphones, this is a steal of a deal, and a robust product for many years of enjoyable experiences. As a beginner, this is a no- brainer. Also a great gift for anyone desiring to explore the great outdoors with a more relaxed approach. A portable rack kit for<$ 100 is a worthwhile investment to haul this anywhere you please without the perceived need to spend a hefty amount towards a fancy roof setup for your vehicle. My background is in art, cardistry, and magic( tricks). Only in the last 4 years- after my 5th accident- did I start getting heavily into the outdoors lifestyle. Decades of living in- city surrounded by walls, I yearned for a little freedom and escape from the typical cycle of daily life. From open water swimming to minimal camping, I discovered the peace and healing that came with moving my body and stepping away from social protocols and long- term screen time. Only in the last six to eight months, after seeing the river littered with a variety of different kayaks( and my ever- growing desire to camp in more remote locations), has my interest in them really grown. And thanks to DSG, I finally get to begin my journey down this new adventurous path. PLASTIC: Majority of the population, irregardless of location, have heavily misguided beliefs when it comes to the word `` Plastic ''. Plastic is not just that low- quality thin clear sheet that is harmful to the planet and breaks/melts easily, or even a sign that something is `` cheap ''. Plastic in all its many forms and qualities exist in every corner of our lifestyles and daily uses. It is one of the top materials used for military- grade stuff( aside from rubber). It is in our phones, clothing, electronics, solar setups, our cars( windshields have plastic in between the glass layers to prevent them from shattering/exploding). Even Bullet- proof/resistant items have plastics in them& would n't be effective without their inclusion. High Density PolyEthylene is a preferred choice for products like kayaks for a number of reasons crucial to the creation and life- term of the vessel. HDPE is more demanding to mould than LDPE/LLDPE( Low- Density), which is what also enables it to have good scratch- resistance and impact- resistance. It is built to be tougher and withstand extreme temperatures, things like strapping to a car roof does n't cause it to melt from the heat nor be easily affected by UV rays from the sun. And in AZ, there's more than healthy amounts of hardcore sun- time to go around. Dragging this on the ground will not be as detrimental to its lifespan either as a kayak built with softer or more complicated materials. Because HDPE does n't stretch as easily, the kayak is also not slippery smooth& easier to grasp. HDPE is the most environmentally stable, giving off no harmful fumes. Furthermore, they require only a fraction of the energy needed to produce steel from iron ore. Aesthetics: I am in love with the color. Having been sent for the purposes of this review, did not have a say in what color scheme would be available. My favorite colors are blue and green. The outside is a beautiful whirlwind of 50 shades of green( and a nice lime/neon flair on the bottom), whilst the inside is a nice solid dark blue, a matte and slightly muted/toned down IKB( International Klein Blue), if you will. The kayak looks smooth to the glance, yet has subtle texture for better grip, although not so much that it feels abrasive. I 'm a tactile person, I appreciate things that not only look and function well, but also feel good to the touch. Comfort: The kayak comes equipped with a basic ergonomic padded seat, about 3mm in thickness, from neoprene- like material. It is tolerable for shorter trips, although I do oblige opting in for something more forgiving to the derriere. It is, after all, where you will be seated for the duration of the trip. Around the seating area are 4 extra holes with screws keeping them plugged, to allow for different seat types. The backrest is hard, not soft as on some other kayaks. Which of course is a great positive as a softer one is harder on the core and the constant give and movement affects the posture and back support, and in turn the overall movement of the kayak. That being said, I will be adding a gel cover to the backrest as well. I intend to ride this for hours on end as the weather gets warmer, very glad there are options to modify the kayak to a certain degree in spite of being an entry model. Moreover, the backrest is not only adjustable, it's also removable. The grey tab between the base of the backrest flips outwards, thus enabling its removal. The Canyon has graduated footwells on either side, allowing up to 5 leg adjustments. This comes with a number of drawbacks, the most obvious being the lengths are limited to what is available. The other downside is how the feet rest in these footwells. They do n't fit as well as pegs or another form of support, and the ankles are prone to turning as the legs are used for anchorage. Nevertheless, this should only be irksome to only the most nitpicky or sensitive of users. Just so happens that one of those users is me. As with the seat and backrest, the footwells can be replaced with something more custom or ergonomic, as they 're held down by two screws on either end. For anyone else in the same kayak( haha) as myself, there are workarounds without the need to blow a lump sum of money towards a fancy custom rig or giving up on the idea of kayaking altogether. Storage: Let's first get the negative out of the way. The phone groove holder. It's a tad too shallow, and there are no rubber grips or anything to keep it from falling out. I briefly attempted keeping my phone on there, only for it to unhinge almost immediately. It is, however, wide enough to accommodate most phone sizes. Personally will not ever be using it to hold any electronic devices whatsoever, not worth the risk. Not until such time do I mod it to be more secure, and attach a leash to it like I do the paddle and myself. The groove for the bottle holder is excellent. It 'll hold virtually any bottle thanks to its wide yet adequately deep curve. Mine did n't budge an inch throughout my ride. Using the wall of the phone holder as support, it is even firmer in its placement. There is a single paddle- keeper on the starboard side, with a groove for the paddle shaft so it does n't rattle about when transporting the kayak or even if just chilling in the water for an extended period. It can accomodate, should one desire, 2- 3 paddles if necessary. I have removed the blade portions and stored it elsewhere on the kayak so the paddle- keeper is only accommodating the shafts and the blades are n't sticking out as they otherwise would. The bungee is solid and firm, and easily replaceable should it lose integrity over time or needs more slack for holding down more items. There are bow and stern bungees for extra storage capabilities. In relation to the previous paragraph, I use the bow to hold the paddle blades, as they sit nice and flush( as can be, they 're curved) and out of the way when carrying. The stern bungees hold more, especially thanks to the rear well directly below them. However, the area doubles as a 5- gallon bucket holder. Meaning, if one chooses to have a bucket, then no space for storage of other items. And vice versa, if one has the space taken up by other items, no space for a 5- gallon bucket. No need to fret, there is a positive alternative I discovered which I 'll be sharing here soon enough. The inside of the kayak is almost entirely hollow and virtually void of obstacles. Initially I was confused, what is the purpose of all that space, aside from ample room for stray water to collect in? Then it struck me! Why not make use of all that emptiness and fill it with more potential for further adventure?! As an avid bushcrafter and off- gridder, and the fact that I have over 100lb of weight to muck around with( I 'm 162lb), I can store all my essentials and then some. Then kayak to a different spot, make a day or weekend of it, and head back, all in a day's work. The ability to travel further to places not accessible by feet or wheels or air at the drop of a hat is a privilege very few get to experience. Now, around a fraction of an average person's rent, practically anyone can. Handling+ Transportation: The multi- chine design is a smart choice on Quest's part for a recreational/beginner kayak to perform above and beyond what is generally expected in such an affordable& basic model. It provides better balance, stability, less of the kayak is touching the water which results in less drag and swifter turns. The front end is meant to slice through the water and waves cleaner, hence the pointier and narrower cut, whilst the back is wider and flatter to keep the kayak from wanting to flip or get out of alignment. I wanted to cover all possibilities and uses of the kayak as I intend to put this through some serious work and conditions( just comes with my lifestyle) so I tested how it

I tried Canyon Kayak from Dick ’s Sporting Goods during this weekend. It was a nice outing and I liked how Canyon performed on water and even before that. First of all, the kayak has a very comfortable handle on the back and front which makes transporting it very easy. Kayak is not heavy and quite wide. It handles waves pretty well and is super stable. Sitting area is wide as well – makes it convenient to get in and out of the kayak. I personally like that it has several positions for the feet, so you could change your posture while in the water and give your legs some rest. Canyon is made from very durable material – you could go on rapids in it without fear. And again, it ’s not only durable, but super stable, so you wouldn ’ t turn over into the water. Specially recommend Canyon Kayak for those, who just started kayaking as it gives you stability on water and comfort for your fit.

I received this Quest Canyon kayak free in return for this review. Upon first sight I fell in love with the gorgeous, vibrant color. The seat is a simple design and has a back that is adjustable for sitting straight up to a more laid back style. It was comfortable for a short trip but I can see that if I 'm going to be on the water for several hours I am going to want to add a cushion. I like the molded drink holder but feel like it needs a strap since your drink will be laying on it's side. There are no places inside to clip a caribener to secure gear in case of turning over. The rear storage area is good sized and you can secure gear in that area. The foot pegs are comfortable. The cockpit opening is large and I was able to get in and out easily. I am 5' 6 '' and weigh around 200 pounds and there was ample room for moving around inside. I could easily take a medium sized dog or child with me in the boat. I am impressed by the thickness of the plastic this kayak is made from. It is thicker than other kayaks we already own but it does seem easier to scratch. This kayak tracks well, while also being very responsive so as to avoid obstacles. I gave a little more than moderate effort to rock the boat side to side, testing stability. At one point I actually sloshed water into my boat without ever feeling like I might tip over. I think it would take a lot to turn it over. My kayak arrived with a broken handle from shipping but I contacted customer service and a replacement was sent out and was in my hands in just a few days. I would definitely purchase another Quest Canyon kayak.

Purchased this for our son for Christmas. Took him out on the lake and he absolutely loved it. When we got home I noticed that there was water in the shaft of the paddle. It seems that the water was coming in from around the blade. Contacted Lifetime via email and explained to them what was going on. Received a very quick response from their customer service. Once they had all the information they needed they sent out a new paddle immediately. It's great to know that there are still some companies out there with Great Customer Service. My son is 12 and says that it's easy to paddle and seems very stable. We had some inflatable kayaks and he hated them. I 'd say that they are definitely worth the money.

The Connelly Nautic 9. 5 inflatable kayak is an outstanding product that provides good tracking and stability for us novice paddlers. With the spacious and comfortable cockpit, zippered dry hatch, and lightweight design, this kayak is perfect for all- day excursions on calm lakes or rivers. This is my 4th Kayak but my 1st tandem. We purchased it so we would not have to bring so many kayaks for the family to enjoy the sport together. First time out I had my eight- year- old son in front of me and my five- year- old son behind me and I paddled from the center of the kayak. I was able to navigate with no problem with only me paddling and turning was a breeze. It tracks very straight and true. Later in the day I moved to the rear of the kayaked with the five- year- old in the middle and the eight- year- old in the very front. Even when my son in the front got tired of paddling, I was able to control the whole boat from the rear with minimal extra effort. I will be taking this on a camping trip by myself as a solo kayak because I have so much extra room for all my camping gear. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice big solo or a good tandem.

I bought one a couple months ago. My wife and I own several different kayaks. The Rambler is the most stable kayak I have ever tried. I can bring just about anything along that I want; A big cooler, big tackle box, anchor., fishing pole. I bring cushions along. Why? So I can put the seat backrest down and take a nap on this kayak! I take toddlers along and they feel very secure on the kayak. One note, I bought a role of Velcro to put on the seat surfaces so the seat does n't slide around. I just bought a second Rambler to bring my novice friends out with me.

I 'm Ray, and I 've been kayaking recreationally for about 6 years. In my adventures I have paddled calm lakes, gentle rivers, and even some light white water. Whether you 're a seasoned paddler or a curious beginner, the Quest Endeavor Kayak is a great companion for your next kayaking adventure. While I am no giant of a man at 5 foot 8 and 175 pounds, I found the Quest Endeavor ’s multi- chine hull design to provide great stability and tracks exceptionally well. I ’ ve rented or owned multiple kayak brands and styles over the years. Typically, I have preferred a sit- on- top style kayak. However, the Quest Endeavor sit- in style has become my new favorite. It includes a mesh framed folding seat, knee pads on the left and right rim, and adjustable sliding foot braces. When paddling in cooler weather, water temperature can be felt through the plastic housing of any kayak, especially a sit- in style kayak. The mesh folding seat provided support for my back and also sat off the bottom of the kayak enough to allow me to stay dry and warm. The Quest Endeavor also provides ample storage. The rear well and bungee straps easily accommodate a cooler or tackle box. The front storage hatch was lined with a nylon bag to keep items dry and secure. There are left and right slide rails that will allow you to attach accessories, a water bottle holder in the canopy, as well as a groove with bungee to securely hold your phone. The Quest Endeavor kayak was easy to carry and load on my vehicle, weighing only 48 pounds and just under 10 feet long. Whether you 're a solo adventurer or looking to share the experience with a friend, the made in America Quest Endeavor Kayak is the perfect choice. It's affordable, easy to transport, and packed with features that will make your next kayaking trip enjoyable and memorable. Not to mention, the rich color and textured fish- scale design make the Quest Endeavor Kayak simply beautiful. Disclaimer: This review is a paid endorsement for the Quest Endeavor kayak. I received a free kayak in exchange for my honest feedback.

Got my Quest Kayak and tried it on the lake. Would say overall performance is good. Material is very durable. Still kayak is not heavy which is a big plus while loading and unloading. On the water Quest is super stable as it ’s wide and easy to maneuver. You wouldn ’ t fell out or turn over- so could safely continue your journey on the lake or even river rapids. Kayak has a compartment for your staff as well as some space on the back of it. You could put fishing rods in special place on the back and relax while fishing. So with Quest you could just enjoy your time on the water, spend time with friends or family or just go fishing. It ’s good for all of that.

I received my Quest Endeavor in a timely manner with plenty of details provided by the shipper. It arrived boxed and completely intact. This kayak is a recreational kayak that is more suited for lakes or lazy rivers. I was highly impressed with all the included features. It comes with plenty of bungee storage for your kayaking or fishing needs. The dry bag hatch storage is a nice upgrade from most kayaks in this price range. The bottle/drink holder is perfect for a nice bottle to keep you hydrated while on the water and even when leaning or rowing the bottle stayed in the curved holder. The phone bungee with molded slot is nice and allows you to see your phone while kayaking. I did put my phone in a waterproof phone case and tethered it to the bungee for safe keeping in case of a rollover. The stadium seating allows for a good view from the cockpit and to paddle unimpeded. The only downside is the not so clear place to use the seat bungees for security of the seat. I would suggest maybe 2 eye hooks attached to the side of the boat for more security. The padding on the sides for your knees is a nice touch and upgrade. I really like this feature due to having some scrape issues on my knees and legs from previous kayaks. The foot pegs are easily adjustable with a pull and push system with minimum effort. This boat is lightweight at 48 lbs. I was able to move it with ease. The carry handles are a nice length so that you are not straining or hunched over when lifting or carrying which is nice. I paddled for the first time on a windy day on a private lake. I was surprised at the ease in which I was able to paddle against the wind. The boat handled the wind well and still sliced through the water with no issue. It continue to glide for several more feet before succumbing to the prevailing winds. I took my fishing rods out and the rod holders are well placed. When casting I did not feel any tipping or unsteadiness of the kayak. I even cast behind and to the side of the boat without any feeling of tipping. I am writing this review as part of an agreement for the free ownership of the Quest Endeavor Kayak.

My wife and I love to be on the water together and the Oru Haven has made it easy. I am a big guy@ 6 ’ 8 ” and 250 lbs. The listed height max for the Haven is 6 ’ 6 ”. I can tell you that I have no problem entering/exiting/paddling. The Haven tracks well in flat conditions and does surprising well when the wind is up. I sit in the aft seat and my 5 ’ 8 ” and 125lbs. wife sits forward. My size 16 feet rest just aft of the forward seat but are forward of the spreader bar at mid- ship.. I don ’ t need to bend my knees at all. The kayak is waterproof in flat water. Because the Haven has such a large open cockpit, we get water into the boat from paddle drip, rain and waves coming on the beam. We are working on a simple ‘ rain fly ’ idea( we are OCD about a wet boat). But, even the water that comes in from drips and rain isn ’ t an issue. The water stays under the orange floor boards so it doesn ’ t create any wet- butt issues while we are paddling. Folding and unfolding the hull is easy. The Oru video is helpful. But, they edited out the most critical element of how the boat goes together in the final fold. Fortunately, it only took us a few extra minutes to figure it out in our living room and now it is easy. Storage inside the hull is adequate. I appreciate how easy it is to carry a 40 lbs. tandem kayak over my shoulder in box mode In summary: we don ’ t think there is a more elegant way to minimize space needs and maximize on- the- water fun. I purchased the Haven( Tandem) and took it out on the water last weekend. The assembly confounded at first until I followed the YouTube assembly video section by section. The second time I put it together took about 10 minutes and was relatively easy( just needed good muscle). The boat is sturdy in the water, it held two adults easily, and we found it easy to steer and navigate. I like that it can convert to a single too. Fits in the trunk of my Camry easily. Only thing I 'd like to add to my Oru is a small hand cart to wheel it from the car to the dock. While it folds up nicely, at age 57 and small framed, it's still quite heavy for me to carry on a shoulder by myself. Otherwise, I have no complaints! Love it and love that I can take it all over the place to rivers and lakes.

Brought this for my wife as a birthday gift. It actually arrived on her birthday, which was a great extra benefit( shipment delays due to Covid). She had been using a 9' 6 '' big box store, generic kayak and enjoyed it. She took her maiden voyage on her Loon 120 and absolutely loved it! Initially was going to get her the Loon 106, but fortunately when I called I spoke to a staff member who explained the the 120 is better suited for a smaller stature person such as my wife. Tracks like a dream and does not require constant correction! If you are considering the 120, go for it, you will not be disappointed!

[ You can really tell this kayak was made with love. It has great storage, a cool deck for your phone and and adjustable sitting area! Its light enough to carry on your shoulder as well. It also has plenty of bungies. The deck is removable and has a dry place for a battery with a usb cord built in. I really enjoy this product!

[ Great seat comfort. Carrying mechanism not as comfortable as our Wilderness kayak and the hull of the loon is thinner. The strapping tape used in shipping g actually dented the sides of the hull. Didn ’ t affect use though.

This is the second boat I have purchased after buying one last year for my son. The boat is highly rated and did a lot of homework before buying. We use this to fish back bay fishing and crabbing. It's a great stable boat and you get a lot for the price point. It's also easy to load since it's only 10 feet long making it a lot lighter than larger boats.

I had an old aluminum canoe that had been a great fishing canoe, but at 86 pounds I could no longer handle it. The Pelican Catch Classic 100 weighs only 58 pounds and slides easily on and off my truck. Plus, I 've already caught a lot of fish. I use a seat cushion that adds about 3 inches to the chair of the kayak and puts me up a bit higher. The kayak is great for about 2- 2. 5 hours of fishing. I have n't had it out in much wind yet, but it handles pretty well.

I splashed the new Quest Huron 8' sit- in kayak today and I am really happy with this sharp little yak! First, it's very portable. The 8' hull and 35lb weight makes it easy to load/unload solo and it fits inside my small SUV with the seats down( see photo). The front and back handles are great for getting it to the launch site when your buddy is assisting. Next, is the design. I 'm 5' 2 '' so a benefit of this model is the higher seat design that keeps my elbows and wrists from hitting the sides while paddling, which is an issue for me with other brands. The multi- chine hull tracks really well, allowing me to keep up with stronger paddlers and I did n't really miss not having foot rests on the inside of the hull so there is plenty of room for gear and my feet. I did not experience any wave splash on this windy day because of the generous free- board sides so the hull stayed completely dry. But if you did need to drain this boat there is a fixed drain as well as a removeable plug for fast water removal. The bungees, front, back and for the paddle, are super important to me for lashing gear down. And there is a fun little elevated bottle holder to keep my phone off the bottom of the boat. Nice touch! Overall, this is more than an intro- level kayak and suits my needs of portability, stability in the water, extra features, and durability. I expect to get years of use from the Quest Huron Kayak.

I 'm 5' 5 '' and 150 lbs and I was able to easily lift this onto the top of my Honda Fit. There's no need for a kayak cart as you can carry from its side. The only issue is the sides are thinner plastic with no padding so it can be uncomfortable carrying longer distances. That issue can be easily fixed by using something with padding to grab it with. I plan on cutting up a pool noodle to use. The kayak is very maneuvable in the water. I tried it out on our local lake and it's fast and easy to paddle even into the wind. The kayak is very stable as I did have some wake from a couple of boats and it rode them out easily The higher seat position was nice. It kept my butt dry and had great back support. I was worried with a sit- in that I would be cramped but at one point I took my legs out and put them on top of the kayak to just float and relax. With someone with longer legs it probably would not be as comfortable.

I had the pleasure of taking the Quest Huron 8' sit in kayak out for the first time in an adventure today. This is a comfortable little kayak that wo n't break the bank or your back. Many kayaks are too long and heavy for me to transport given my short frame. That was not the case with the Quest Huron. It is easy to lift alone and even fit in my Jeep Patriot for a solo paddle. For me, the lightweight and small frame is the best feature of this kayak. Despite leaving out on a cold windy day; the Huron steered straight and easy for me. It has multiple storage spaces making it ideal for a lazy day trip on the river or lake. I especially enjoy the option for camera mounting and will be installing one soon! My only wish for this kayak would be more colors to choose from. It is an otherwise perfect fit for this flatwater casual kayaker. Thank you to Dicks Sporting Goods for always meeting our adventurous family with all our water sports and camping needs. I have a material connection with Dick's Sporting Goods and received free product for my unbiased opinion.

I received the Quest Huron Kayak in order to test and review it. I was impressed by the lightweight, easy to carry design. I was equally impressed by the stability of the kayak in the water in spite of its easy- to carry design. It was easy to maneuver in the water as well, due to the lightweight design. I was able to fit it in the back of my SUV, making for an easier trip to the lake rather than using the roof rack. I used a kayak cart( not included with the kayak) to make travel from the car to the water easier, and found that the handle on the front of the boat was perfect for pulling the boat while on the cart. I am 5ft 4in tall, and had plenty of room in the kayak, both getting in and out and staying seated. The seat is cushioned and adjustable for lumbar support. Overall, I would recommend the kayak for beginners and more experienced kayakers alike.

Today we tested out our new Quest Huron Kayak. I was a little leary of testing it since I am at the higher end of the suggested weight limit. It sits nicely in the water, even being on the heavier side and Is easy to get in and out of. It is made of a thinner material and I do n't think it would take alot of river rash, however with its skeg built into the body it is great on lake paddles and easy river paddles. It tracks well in the water, and is a lighter sit inside Kayak to carry to and from water. Even my kids wanted to try it out!

As a seasoned angler constantly on the lookout for the next best thing in fishing gear, I must say, I 'm thoroughly impressed with this kayak. From its thoughtful design to its impeccable performance on the water, this vessel is a game- changer for anglers of all levels. First and foremost, let's talk about versatility. Whether you 're just starting your fishing journey or you 're a seasoned pro, this kayak caters to all skill levels. Its array of built- in features, coupled with an adjustable seat for optimal comfort, makes it a dream to navigate, regardless of your experience level. I 've taken it out on a lake and creeks/rivers, and it never fails to deliver. During my testing phase, I put this kayak through its paces in some of Arizona's most challenging water bodies, including a sizable reservoir lake and a winding river. To my delight, it handled every scenario with grace and precision, solidifying its status as my go- to vessel for impromptu fishing excursions. Let's talk about stability. Despite its compact 10- foot frame, the hull design offers remarkable balance, even in the face of choppy waters and passing motorboats. I pushed its limits, navigating through light rapids and sizable wakes, all without the slightest hint of instability. And yes, I even took a dip in the cold waters to test its recovery capabilities – flawlessly executed, might I add. Weighing in at a manageable 52 pounds, this kayak is a breeze to transport. Loading and unloading from my car's roof rack is a cinch, thanks to its manageable weight. Sure, it might gather a few scratches along the way, but its durability is unparalleled, shrugging off bumps and scrapes with ease. Maneuverability is where this kayak truly shines. Turning is a breeze, almost to the point of being effortless. I found myself effortlessly positioning for the perfect cast, occasionally overshooting my target due to its responsiveness. Tracking, while commendable for its size, does require consistent power application on each side. But trust me, once you get the hang of it, you 'll be navigating like a pro. Now, let's talk about the pièce de résistance – the storage hatch. This ingenious feature ensures your gear stays put, with a built- in bag keeping essentials like pliers and scales securely in place. Even after a full day of fishing, not a drop of water found its way into the hull, a testament to its watertight design. In conclusion, this kayak is a game- changer in my world of fishing.

I 've just returned from my first trip in my new Quest Crosswater 100, and I am already impressed. I was given this kayak to review, and was excited to try it out on a local river, despite the cold weather. It tracked well, and was easy to paddle. Overall, I found it comfortable, stable, and well- designed. One of my favorite features is where they put the scupper holes. There are two located in the front of the boat, and there are channels that lead to them, so any water that gets in the boat drains down and out quickly. This is such an improvement over other sit- on- tops that I have paddled. The seat is also adjustable and comfortable. One of the clips that holds the seat strap on the side was hard to reconnect when it came unclipped, but I did get it connected and did n't have any other issues with it. I think this will be a great fishing boat, with lots of room for gear and poles. The Crosswater 100 seems to be made of a heavy duty material, and I expect it to last through many years of paddling.

This is a 10 ’ recreation kayak ideal for lakes and rivers and normal flatwater paddling. It is also a well equipped fishing kayak. First the basics from the manufacturer: Length 10 ’ 3 ” Width 31 ” Weight 51. 2 pounds Maximum capacity 275lbs As you can tell from the weight this is a very heavy duty kayak- not some cheap, thin plastic boat that will wear out fast. It has a lot of features that impressed me as they usually have to be added by the paddler later. The toggle carry handles at the front and the rear of the kayak are wide and corded to the outside, not the middle. This is way more comfortable and the plastic handle is grooved to fit your fingers. On both sides of the kayak there are luggage style handles. Not the molded ones that don ’ t really work but the flexible handled kind. Every kayak I have ever owned I have put these on myself as it is absolutely necessary if you load a kayak by yourself upside down on roof racks. Definitely a PLUS! There are six self bailing holes( scupper holes) with two under the seat. A lot of SOT kayaks don ’ t have these located there so you paddle in a puddle of water. The seat was surprisingly comfortable and the back folds down and can be removed easily if required for transport. The adjustable buckles on each side actually have a simple lock. Once you ’ re all comfortable you can lock the adjustment down- another plus. There are two paddle holders with one on each side. The rear deck has a molded indentured the size of a five gallon bucket base to help hold minnows if fishing. Most of the floor is “ diamond plate ” style non slip which I also liked. There are also corded bungees fore and aft to assist in securing items. A removable drain plug, two rear facing rod holders, water bottle groove, graduated footwells( way better than the adjustable ones that seem to always break) and brackets on both sides for those fishing extras. The dry hatch has a permanent lid that has a twist lock for extra security also. I have to say this kayak is well engineered with the kayak paddler in mind who wants to put the kayak in or on their vehicle and head out for a great day on the water! HOW DID IT HANDLE? I launched in a lake with cool temps and mixed winds. Very stable platform where I just literally sat up and in then twisted straight. A quick “ rock the boat ” back and forth and no “ stomach butterflies ”- definitely very stable! A quick readjust to get the seat right and lock the strap down and I was ready. Scupper holes looked really good considering I am 6 ’ 2 ” and 220 pounds. No real wind, so do several paddle strokes then stop- excellent tracking! I paddled a continuous mile and still took photos pretty easily. Some downfall and the kayak responded easily to avoid it. As a sit on top turning and ruddering was sufficient and maneuverability was good. I paddled out with light wind at my back and when I returned it had picked up but the kayak moved along fine even with a headwind. Exiting was very simple and it pulled out of the lake effortlessly even at 50+ pounds! Remove the seats and thanks to the side handles a simple lift and up on the car roof and the end of a great day on the lake! As a recreational kayak it is an excellent investment and the extra fishing equipment make it an extra bonus!

I recently had the pleasure of testing out the Quest Crosswater 100 Kayak, and I must say, it truly impressed me on multiple fronts. First and foremost, its lightweight design, 10 ’ long and weighing just 52 lbs, makes it incredibly easy to handle both on and off the water. Maneuvering through the lake was a breeze, thanks to its balance of agility and stability, allowing for effortless gliding and enjoyment of the surrounding scenery. Despite its compact size, this kayak offers ample storage options, ensuring you can bring along all your gear and essentials for a day on the water. The side rails are versatile, accommodating various accessories with a track mount base such as rod holders, paddle holders, camera mounts, and more. Additionally, the storage hatch kept my belongings( IE, phone, wallet, keys) dry and secure throughout my entire trip, offering peace of mind. One feature that pleasantly surprised me was the effectiveness of the paddle keepers and built- in rod holders, which allowed for easy access to my gear while keeping my hands free for paddling. The rear well fitting a 5- gallon bucket was a game- changer for storing additional gear, while the molded- in water bottle groove ensured my hydration remained secure and easily accessible. The kayak's hull design provided exceptional stability, even in choppy conditions, giving me the confidence to explore without hesitation. The self- bailing scupper holes ensured that water never pooled inside the kayak, maintaining a dry and comfortable experience throughout. Transporting the kayak was a breeze, thanks to the convenient carry handles, allowing me to easily load and unload it solo on top of my sedan. In conclusion, the 10' Sit- On- Top Kayak is a great choice for anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and reliability on the water. Its combination of lightweight design, ample storage, stability, and convenient features make it a top- notch option for kayaking enthusiasts of all levels. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and hassle- free kayaking experience.

The Crosswater is a solid rig for getting out! She's sturdy yet lightweight enough to launch easily. The seat and the footwells are very comfortable, even after being out for a while. The water bottle groove was appreciated and should be a must here in Florida!!! Out on the water the Crowsswater handled wonderfully nimble, responsive and tracked well. adjusting the seat was a breeze out on the water, strapped the paddle up and was able to move around and adjust the back with no fear of going for a swim. The built in rod holders are easy to reach and do n't interfere with paddling. The idea of the spot for a bucket molded in is a wonderful addition. The dry hold did its job, I usually go out with my sons, and paddle battles always happen!! All in all my sons and I were all very impressed with the build, performance and value of the crosswater.

I purchased this as a universal replacement for a hard seat. While I have n't personally used it my son said it was a great addition considering it is mostly soft all around. I would have like to see the back panel have a sturdier interior for longer paddles. Would I buy it again, probably not if I had the time to find the replacement part for our kayak. [ It ’s so lightweight and easy to move around while still being fast on the water. I really like the attention to detail. I ’ m really happy with this purchase. [ Wow lifetime really outdid themselves with this kayak! The option to not only switch between a sit- inside and sit- on- top kayak is amazing! But how easy it is to switch back and forth was even more amazing. So easy my 9 year old could do it! As a family of 5 that loves to be outdoors the option to have the best of both worlds with a sit- on- top so we can easily jump off and climb back on for a quick dip in the lake or when needed take 30 seconds to convert this into a sit- inside if we want to stay a little more dry or decide to take this down the river and avoid the overspray. I also loved the cockpit storage compartment to easily store my phone for easy access. Lifestyle thought of it all with the storage deck on back to pack snacks/ packs etc. This kayak is also extremely comfortable! The padded seat was soft and the boat is nice and roomy.( I ’ m 6ft tall for reference) It is also very sturdy and we can ’ t wait to get back on the lake/river with our new cabrio kayak!

[ I was given the opportunity to test this kayak for Lifetime. I used to kayak a lot, both whitewater and recreational. Now I have 4 kids and I have not been able to be as active as I would have liked. This kayak caught our eye because for our kids the sit on top feature is really nice, they do not feel trapped and they like to jump on and off. For me, it was nice to have the ability to put the cover on and stay a little drier. If. I get a chance to take it on a river the cover is nice to avoid all the water coming over the edge. I really like the storage area on the back, there is a little storage at the front as well and even a small place in the cover for small items that would stay dry. the kayak is very large and stable, great for beginners, though it is very large. It is also heavy, definitely a two person job to move it and load it most of the time. The handles seem durable and are convenient for carrying the kayak to the shore. The cover comes on and off easily, my eleven year old had no problem taking it off then putting it back on. This is a great family recreation boat!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! This seems like a very durable kayak with its HDPE construction and I really like how Lifetime has treated the kayak to resist UV damage, like they do all of their other outdoor products! Check out the Cabrio 11- it ’s worth your time and money!

[ I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

[ The Lifetime Sit On Top Stealth 11 Kayak is my first ever kayak and I 'm excited to talk about it. It has some great features and I 'll address them all. 1.) The adjustable padded seat was very comfortable to me while a paddled around the pond and fished. 2.) The tank well storage areas in front and back have plenty of room for my gear although on the maiden voyage I chose to take very little. The bungee cord lacing is extremely tight and will safely secure my gear. 3.) The tracking was on spot as I paddled. Getting from point A to point B was very easy. And maneuvering was just a breeze. I found out you do n't have to paddle hard to get this kayak moving and bringing to a stop or making a sharp turn. This was extremely easy. 4.) The Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 seems very stable and at no time was I concerned about it tipping over. 5.) The multiple foot rests provide great comfort while paddling and allow me to also stretch my legs when resting. 6.) The storage hatch could not be in a more convenient location. Right in front of me if I needed to get into it quickly. 7.) The 4 carry handles seemed strong enough and easy on the hands as I pulled the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 to the waters edge. 8.) I liked the idea of the adjustable rod holder sitting between my legs and out of my way when paddling or landing a fish. The 2 flush mounted rod holders behind the seat make switching rods quick and easy. 9.) I also like the skeg wheel. No worries when I have to pull the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 over concrete. 10.) So I paddled around about 4 hours before I decided it was to hot out and time to quit. The Smartflow scupper system did it's job keeping water off the deck. 11.) The paddle holder is in perfect reach, no need to lean or stretch to get to it. So I have say that the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 is the perfect first kayak for me to start out with.

My wife and I bought this for occasional use on our yearly trip to the mountains. We wanted a tandem kayak and looked online for a used kayak. We are not professional kayakers so we were n't looking for an ultra performance kayak. A lot of the used kayaks online were in horrible condition. The new ones( brand names) were well over$ 1000. So we found this kayak out our local sporting goods store. We 've had this for 3 years now and everything works as brand new. The kayak is 10ft long so it's one of the shorter tandem kayaks, which is a perk for us. We bought seat pads and the stock seat backs work well. As mentioned this is n't the most performance kayak out there, buts it's does n't cost as a performance one does. For occasional trips to the lakes for fun relaxing floating around the water that does n't brake the bank... This is the perfect kayak.

I bought this kayak last year and could n't be happier. I took it out on a small lake and fished for about 10 hours straight( caught a nice mess of bluegill). I expected my back to get sore, but the seat is so comfortable that I had no issue. I think pedalling is also helpul, as it keeps the blood moving. I ca n't wait to take it out again this spring. There is plenty of storage space and this kayak is very stable and sturdy; I 'm 6' 4 '', 260lbs, had a full cooler and plenty of gear, and had no issue whatsoever. I 'm very happy with my purchase.

Old Town Kayaks are addictive. I started out with a Topwater 120. Then I bought my wife an Old Town Sportsman 106 PDL because she had a hard time keeping up with me as I paddled. I then had to buy myself a Sportsman 120 PDL to keep up with her. These kayaks see a lot of use from long trips around our mountain lakes we live near to hauling them to the Gulf every year for vacation. I am 6 ’ 4 and 220 lbs. and this kayak is stable for enough for me to standup and fish on. No problem with rough waters in the ocean. I have had breakers lapping over the top of the bow and the kayak never loses a step. These are the only kayaks my wife will set foot on. My next step is to add a motor to my original Old Town 120.

The best kayak I have ever owned. I started out with an Ascend FS12T, winds and waves were an issue, not anymore. The OT PDL120 is stable and quick, I am 240lbs and 5 '' 11 male. The kayak is great and confidence on big lakes is super important for obvious safety reasons. I have had water over the bow many times and crashed through 2 foot boat wakes with ease. Thank you Old Town. I will buy another one in the future.

I was sent free product in exchange for my honest review for the Quest Teton Kayak for Dick ’s Sporting Goods. I had the chance to test the kayak and was extremely pleased with the results. The actual removable folding seat was a huge plus as well as paddle holders on both sides of the kayak. There is ample storage on the Bow and Stern with bungee cords to fasten loads down. The little storage hatch in the center is a nice touch for keeping things dry like a phone or other small electronics. The ONLY thing I would recommend is they address, is the lack of a fastener to hold a water bottle in place. Performs very well on the water, very stable, even for someone as large as me( 6' 4 ''- 225lbs). Tracks very well and very comfortable... Great value for the price point.

I took my Quest Teton Kayak out for an initial trial after it was delivered from Dick ’s. The Quest Teton is an open kayak described as being for lakes and rivers. I took it out in Safety Harbor and Mobly Bay, which are at the very north end of Tampa Bay. The water there is shallow and very sheltered. The kayak handled superbly. I had noticed it lacks a true keel, and instead uses two indentations in the underside to create a bit of a false keel effect. It worked very well, and kept the kayak tracked correctly even in a 10- 15 kt steady wind. The included removable seat is very comfortable, and provides good back support. The seat cushion is attached to the frame by straps and buckles. The bottom of the seat only had half the straps secure, and did not come with any instructions. It took a bit of trial and error to see how they needed to connect under the frame. For reference I am 6 ’ 2 ” and about 260 lbs. The Quest Teton provided ample leg room, and sat with plenty of freeboard even in some light chop. It also was completely buoyant with me sitting in it in less than 2 feet of water. I did put scupper plugs in that I had from another kayak, due to the water being a bit cool( at least for a Floridian!), but everything else was as it was delivered. The kayak is well made, and certainly felt very sturdy. As a sit on top it was wide enough to be comfortable, and very stable, but narrow enough for me to easily dismount into some very soft sea mud flats during low tide. I really like the design on the dry storage compartment. It has a very easy to operate handle that flips up and rotates to unlock the hatch, and operates in reverse to close it. It is simple to operate with one hand. I have had other kayaks where this compartment has a lid that screws on and off. I have found that with the addition of salt, and swelling due to temperature changes those can become difficult to operate while underway in the kayak. The design featured on the Quest Teton shows experience and thought went into the dry storage design. Four built- in handles made it easy to handle with no assistance in uploading, launching, and re- loading. The model I have is set as a fishing kayak, so 2 of the supper holes are already sealed to form rod holders. That leaves 4 remaining scupper holes( 2 fore, 2 aft) if you want to plug them. Overall it proved to be a very stable, but still easy to maneuver boat, and I would highly recommend it for both the freshwater applications it lists, as well as saltwater use in protected waters.

My first impression upon seeing the Teton was how spacious it was for a 10ft kayak. The overall quality of the kayak is solid all and all. Having the molded rear well was nice to have, I was able to put a round laundry basket providing me with a lot of storage space for my tackle boxes. It also comes with 2 rod holder that is very accessible when your on the water. It only weight around 55lbs easy for me alone to load and unload in my suv roof. As I was selected to test this kayak it 100% passes all flying color in the water. I test it out in the Texas flats, even in shallow water it had no problem gliding through it. Paddling with this light kayak was so fun took little effort to glide fast through the water with the Quest Chute kayak paddle. There were a lot of boat passing through me making big wake the Teton had no problem being stable though I would n't recommend standing in it if you have poor balance. Having the track raling mount was great I was able to use my phone mount. The Teton is a great kayak for people who wants to start kayak fishing, do n't have to worry about hauling a heavy vessel and without worrying making your wallet bleed.

Quest recently sent me their new Teton kayak to try out and review. The Teton is 10' 3 '' long and 31 '' wide. It has a max capacity of 275 pounds and is designed for a single paddler. It weighs only 55 pounds. My first impression was that it was a well- made kayak. The hull had no soft spots and did not feel spongy, which I have encountered with other kayaks. It has a sleek design and features that are well thought out. Starting with the boat's bow, you find a drag handle ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand. Using the handle, I had no problem dragging the kayak through sand or mud to get it into the water. The front of the kayak has tie- down bungees that you can use to secure any gear you would need easy access to. I was very impressed with the seat. Not only is it easy to remove using built- in clasps, but it is also lightweight and very comfortable. It feels like you are paddling while sitting in a lawn chair. On either side of the chair are carry handles and paddle holders. Directly in front of the seat is a built- in waterproof hatch that is the perfect size for holding your cell phone and snacks. The footwells are comfortable and well- placed. Along the sides of the footwells, there are accessory rails, as well as one rail in the center of the footwell. These are positioned perfectly to attach any accessory you want, such as a GoPro Camera or an anchor system. Directly behind the seat are two built- in fishing rod holders. They are angled to make them easily accessible when floating. Directly behind the rod holders are more tie- down bungees and a storage area that is large enough to easily store all your fishing gear or camping equipment for an overnight paddle. There is also another carry handle in the back of the boat. This kayak glided on top of the water. It is effortless to paddle and tracks very well. It did not feel sluggish while paddling, and I could gain speed very quickly. It seemed very stable while paddling. I did not attempt to stand up while in it, but that would not be a problem. All in all, I am pleased with this kayak. It is perfect for fishing your local lakes and rivers or just having a lazy day paddling on the water. I would be comfortable taking this kayak in any calm or slow- moving body of water.

`` I must say this kayak left me feeling like this was the right kayak for me. If you 're looking for a reliable sit- on- top kayak that is comfortable, stable, and functionality, the Quest Teton Kayak should be your first choice. I 'm 6' 2 '' and weigh around 220lbs and I was nervous getting on the water with this kayak. I 've never been on a kayak and was fortunate to have Lifetime Products ask me to review it. The weight of it is n't bad either. It weighs 55lbs and I was able to carry it with ease down to the boat ramp Overall this kayak is a 10/10 for me. I launched without tipping and when I paddled back to the shore, the kayak was so stable I did n't get wet. Thanks again for the opportunity to review and test out this kayak! ''

This is the 4th Lifetime Kayak I ’ ve owned. It ’s by far the most stable which is crucial for somebody such as myself who frequently has one of my young kids or my petite Labrador retriever abroad. Sometimes both at the same time. I can comfortably maneuver around to grab/move gear around while on the water. The seat is very comfortable which makes it ’s easier when paddling for long periods of time. The only thing I ’ d change is the weight of the kayak. Aside from that, I highly recommend it to anyone seriously considering it for leisurely paddling, fishing, or even hunting out of

[ The manta angler exceeded my expectations. I have owned 2 other kayaks and this is the first kayak I didn ’ t feel like was going to tip over when I am in choppy water or catch waves from bigger boats, which is important to me because I usually fish bigger bodies of water. I stood up in it and casted and felt very comfortable doing it. I like where Lifetime placed the wheels on this because it is easy to move around on solid ground and the kayak doesn ’ t want to tip over because how far apart they placed them. The Manta is surprisingly easy to paddle for how big it is and tracks very well. My favorite feature is the four rod holders on the back. I put a fishing net in one of them and put three rods in the others. I like that I can keep the rods out of my way while paddling to my spots and can easily get to them when I am ready to fish.

I had the opportunity to be chosen to receive and review the new Manta Angler from Lifetime Products. Took it out for a couple hours before we got rained out. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of paddling and how well it tracked. I expected it to be more cumbersome with the width and shape but it performed alot better than anticipated. It even glided with decent momentum when not paddling. Same thing with turning. I did n't have a problem maneuvering it around. The stability standing up was amazing. I felt quite comfortable moving around and never felt `` tippy, '' or like I had to compensate for balance. The stand assist strap is great. I really like the front bar for an anchor and like the addition of the 2 pole holders behind the seat to make 4. I 'll probably use the extra to put my nets. The handles we 're great for loading/ unloading. The wheels underneath are nice for ease of maneuvering around while getting ready, but I would question the longevity of the plastic material and would n't rely on it too much for long- distance transport. The rear storage well did seem a little shallow upon first look, but after taking it out, I feel the stability makes up for that. It does have a ton of space and overall deckspace, which is awesome. I 'll probably add a couple of padeyes to the center of the kayak to hook stuff to. The gear tracks are made of plastic but feel solid. The front gear tracks and rod holders are a little too forward to comfortably reach on the water but could be used for different things or Gopros when banked. Same concept with the front hatch, but that's typical with front storage on all kayaks. The stability DOES allow you to crawl forward and reach them or reach them while standing. The adjustable footpeg design and being able to adjust the distance while sitting is great. The trolling motor mount I have n't installed yet( I dont own a trolling motor) is a great feature as I see a lot of people rigging their kayaks trying to figure out how to mount one.( I might actually buy one now that im getting older.) I did choose to use the paddle that came with it because, well they 're nice enough to provide one and was actually quite impressed with it. Lifetime stepped their game up with the paddle. I felt little to no flex and never felt the need to switch to the spare paddle I brought. Overall, I really like the kayak and will definitely get a lot of use out of it. I feel they definitely hit the nail on the head for what it's advertised as. A super stable fishing kayak at a great price.

Covid has been a mixed blessing for us, and probably Old Town as well. In our case, with all the lockdowns going on, we and many more have turned to more outdoor sports. As someone who grew up fishing, kayaks quickly got my interest as the best option to get on the water. Thanks to YouTube I quickly discovered pedal kayaking after many hours, combined with the fact that I 'm a Mainer, Old Town rose to the top of the list. I 'm 68 so I wanted the smallest and easiest to move and haul around, so the 106 was a no- brainer. The bad part of Covid was that even in Maine these boats are hard to come by. I wanted 2 of the Photic Sportsman PDLs, but in the end could only find 1, plus the older identical boat, the Boreal Topwater. There's not much difference, except the new Sportsman seat is great for a large guy like me rather than the older Topwater seat. Ice went out on my small trout pond 2 weeks ago, and I 've been out every nice day so far, ca n't wait to get on a bigger lake! These boats are so stable, ca n't wait to try standing and casting!

I bought this 3 weeks ago but the cold weather and water in New England kept me off the water until today. What a pleasure. My last kayak was a good one. It was a 13 fooot LLBean rebranded Perception sit in kayak with a better than average seat and two rod holders. It was a good kayak but for fishing it lacked. Plenty stable for kayaking but don ’ t reach too far for that 2. 5 lb bass. Don ’ t ask mee how I know.. I am 6 ’ 3 ” ”, 240 lbs( yes my doc doesn ’ t like that) and 66 years old. I found the Sportsman 106 PDL to my a dream. Much easier to in and out of, I can move around and really enjoyed the 3 hours I was out on a lake today. The pedals gave me a good work out. I loved the instant forward/reverse which allowed me to effortlessly hold the kayak in position while a I fished. There was slight breeze which didn ’ t seem to affect the handling. I will report later on a windier day. There was a bass tournament on the lake today and unlike my last kayak, this one handles the wakes from the 200 hp boats wit aplomb whether the wake hit the stern, bow or sides. Just makes me feel a whole lot more confident. As for stability, I stepped off the dock into the kayak and sat down. I was amazed. I did not try stand up as as one gets older ones stability on terrafirma is not as good as it used to be). I enjoyed this day of fishing( although I wish I good brag about the fish I caught) more than any day in a kayak. I was comfortable and could easily move about the boat. That PDL system is awesome. I did paddle through shallow water with PDL raise and yes you get some water in the boat but it goes out the scuttles. The two tool wells in the cockpit area are a small thing but make a bid difference. It was great to have the hook remover, fisherman ’s tool, line cutter etc close at hand. Small thing but great idea. Awesome boat Old Town. Thank you I hope to get years of pleasure out of this.

I am a 78 yr old who recently purchased his first kayak, the Sportsman 106 PDL. I was looking for a kayak to primarily use for nature photography. Considering my age and this would be my first ever kayak, stability was a primary requirement. I wanted to feel comfortable and safe, especially with expensive cameras and lenses. After much online research, I narrowed to Old Town and a couple of other brands. I completed my research with phone calls to the brand customer service reps. Ken Stinson was especially patient with my questions, listened to my desires and concerns and offered honest pros and cons of the Old Town products as related to my stated need. As a result of my online research and Ken's advice, I purchased a Sportsman 106PDL. So far I have had it out four times, all in good weather and water conditions. I quickly found my sweet spot for easy continuous peddling. The kayak has amazing stability, allowing me to twist and turn with confidence to get the shot. I also stood in it my first time out and was very surprised at the stability, although I doubt I will stand while shooting. The peddling, with instant reverse allows me to keep my hands free to catch those quick shots. At 101/2 ft, it fits in the bed of my Ford Ranger pickup. My nature photography and kayaking friend has been amazed by my Sportsman PDL. So far my Sportsman 106PDL has exceeded my expectations.

Purchased in May 2021, I upgraded from a paddle kayak when I found my AP120. I love to fly fish and this kayak allows me to slowly troll while standing and tossing flies around. Also the ability to lock into one spot and fish without an anchor is a game changer. The peddle kayaks are nice but not an option for me because I really enjoy standing while fishing most of the time with the option to sit when desired. Kayak is very stable and I feel completely balanced while standing. I use the lead acid battery for the motor and I 'm able to fish two full days on the water sun up to sundown without having to recharge the battery. I 've taken it out approximately 25 times in 5 months now and absolutely love it! Remote is very user friendly and if you hook into a big one you can quickly turn the motor off easily with a push of a button while standing if the fish makes a run directly under your Yak. The only downside is the kayak is heavy especially with a lead acid battery, but a good kayak cart takes care of that. highly recommend.

I went back and forth between The 106 Sportsman powered by MK and the Auto Pilot. I pulled the trigger on the Auto Pilot and I am so glad that I did. Not having to fuss with an anchor anymore is a total game changer. The boat is stable, and super comfortable to be on the water for extended periods of time. There is ample storage and very well though our features every where you look. I fish in south west Florida, and it is incredible to be able to stand and sight fish Snook, and Reds on the flats while controlling the kayak from the remote!!! I would buy this kayak again no hesitation!

I have been fishing from the AutoPilot 120 for about 6 months in a variety of conditions and I am extremely pleased with capabilities of the is kayak. I have always been a bit skeptical of `` motor powered '' kayaks but the technological features of the AutoPilot intrigued me. As someone who does a lot of trolling the ability to maintain a constant troll speed in the face of wind and current is absolutely amazing. I frequently use the heading feature to `` set it and forget it '' and am able to have everything prepped by the time I get to the fishing grounds or get back to the launch. The real magic of this kayak is built into the motor which I power with a lithium 100ah battery. I 've never come close to draining the battery even with 10+ hrs on the water. Deploying and stowing the motor is easy. The deck and storage space is more than ample. The chair is very comfortable. If I had to be nit- picky my biggest complaints would be that the gear track is too far forward forcing me to use extensions on my rod holders to make them reachable when trolling and limited access to the inside of the hull.

I received this beautiful Quest kayak from# DicksSportingGoods so that I could check it out and review it for y'all. This kayak is 10 ft and weighs right at 47 lb. It came in a versatile Orchid color. I really liked how dark the grays and purples are, alongside the vibrant pinks. The first thing I noticed about this boat is how light it was. You can just pick it right up on your shoulder and there are padded handles( actually knee pads which makes this doubly wonderful) so you could carry it with no issue. As it's weighted evenly, it balances well; it feels like it weighs practically nothing. I could walk a mile with this boat on my shoulder. After I cut the plastic off, I took some pictures and noticed that I needed to remove film from the decal of the word Outlands. Be careful when you pull it off and do pull at an angle, so you wo n't pull any of the letter edges up with you. The letter' L' is very thin and if you go straight at it, it 'll peel up, too. You can see from the picture, I had the film at an angle and I had no more problems. I had to look longingly at the boat for almost a week in my yard because it was so cold out and I just could not get my old self out onto the water. But eventually this 69° day came around and I headed out to play. I easily loaded it up and secured it with a cable through a scupper hole and took off. On the way I stopped to gas up and the girls beside me were quick to let me know they wished I had another boat, so they could come too. That feels good, guys. When I finally got on the water I could n't help noticing how easily the boat handled; there's a definite improvement over my sit- on- top and I had no trouble cutting against the wind. The Quest Outlands has a padded backrest and I was actually able to adjust it for comfort. Being able to change that up was the best. It was a simple addition but it matters bc it can change pressure points after a few hours on a lazy river. I 've never had a functional dry well and it was a real game- changer; I felt safer with all my electronics being in there. I did not go fishing so I did n't use the rod holders nor the rear well. There are knee pads in addition to a ton of knee room to spread out in and I did n't get that claustrophobic feeling that comes after being in one too long. The foot wells are perfectly situated to be out of your way when you do n't need to use them. They did not bother me at all. I have longer legs and I had plenty of room to stretch out. When I got back to the bank, I did n't have to fight with it to get the water out because there's a drain plug which is just extra convenient and makes it easy to load. Overall, I love this boat and I 'd absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting an upgraded kayak at a bargain price point. I named her Rhoda.

I 'm very much a novice when it comes to kayaking, so I was sure to stay on flat water. Favorite features: Handles easily in water Paddles are sturdy Love that it has a dry storage area( thought it was a fish holding spot at first) Big back area to store dry bag and other larger items Concerns: It's heavy for me so if going out by myself, I will have to figure out a method to haul it on my own. Husband carted it for me..

Highly impressed with the Quest Outlander kayak! The ample leg space ensures comfort during long paddling sessions, and the smooth paddling experience makes every journey enjoyable. The built- in dry storage keeps belongings safe and secure, while the convenient fishing pole holders make angling hassle- free. Plus, the seat is incredibly comfortable, allowing for extended adventures on the water. A top- notch kayak for both leisure and fishing enthusiasts!

I had the opportunity to take my Quest Outlands 100 Kayak from Dick's Sporting Goods out today for a little fishing trip. Getting into the kayak and onto the water was extremely easy for me, thanks to a dedicated kayak launch that I used at a local park. I 've never used a sit- in kayak before, so I assumed that it would not be too stable... but I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong, and it was probably the most stable kayak that I 've ever used while in the sitting position. There is a nice bucket holder in the back, which allowed a place for my smaller 3 gallon bait bucket. It was just at the right height to turn in my seat and get a live shrimp out to bait my hook. Even though it was overcast much of this afternoon, I still found myself getting thirsty while paddling out to the mangrove islands to fish. I noticed the well- positioned water bottle holder, which perfectly held my Yeti bottle and kept in at arms reach. I even utilized the built- in phone holder with the attached bungee to do a Facebook live video while on the water. My favorite part of the kayak was the built- in fishing rod holders. They were deep enough to store my moderately long rod handles, and easy to turn in my seat to get. The only design change that I would have liked to see would be the direction the rods point while in the holders. They should go straight back, instead of to the left& right of the kayak. I only mention this because I had to wait until I was off of the kayak launch dock to put them into their holders, so they did n't hit anything going out or coming in. The plastic on the built- in side rails( above the knee pads) had a little flex in them after attaching a third rod holder to it, but was sufficient for a place to hold my rod while taking the fish off of the hook. The paddle holder on the side was the nice touch, and I found myself sliding the tip of the paddle under the front bungee cords to hold it in place while I cast my fishing pole. Overall, I really like this little kayak and look forward to going on more trips around our Intracoastal waterways with it.

The Quest Outlands 10 ’ sit- in kayak is a great boat at a very reasonable price. It ’s versatile enough to serve as a lake paddler, mild river runner, or fishing vessel. Pros:- Tracks well in flat water. Does not tend to turn when paddling as some other kayaks will- Large waterproof hatch storage lets you carry a multitude of items without worrying about them getting wet or falling off the boat- Two fishing rod holders come standard, pre installed in the boat- A gear trac rail is installed on the starboard side. These are great for attaching a variety of items such as a fish finder, cup holder, additional fishing pole holders, etc.- A paddle keep comes pre installed on the port side- Phone holder for when you don ’ t want it locked away in storage- Stern and bow have deck storage secured by bungees. Additionally, the stern has a pre- molded spot perfect for keeping a 5 gallon bucket which can come in handy while fishing. The recessed stern storage area also has two scupper holes to allow excess water to drain from it.- Bow& stern handles pre installed for ease of transport Cons:- 275lb max weight limit may not be sufficient for all paddlers. You ’ ll want to keep your weight and all that of your gear at or under 220 for the best experience in this kayak- The cup holder is horizontal, so it will work for closed lid beverages, but not open top ones. The good news is you can always add a cup holder onto the side gear rail system

The boat itself is light enough for a 75- year old guy to heft, and lift to the top of the SUV( Wow!) The Cherry Red stands out and gets me some neat comments. Easy to paddle, and tracks pretty well, too. Thanks, Old Town.

My husband& I( age 66 and 67) are so happy that we purchased two of these kayaks. We have been told that Old Town Canoes& Kayaks are by far the best in quality, safety and performance. We are extremely happy that we listened.

[ Lovely boat, rides nice, comfortable seat and absolutely love the dashboard, highly recommend! Only negative I have is the cockpit is a bit small for me at 6' 1 230lbs but it's still comfortable and I 've heard from others the 120 model of this same kayak is better suited for taller individuals, I only got the 106 because of size contraints where it's stored for me.

This Old Town 106 power by Minnkota is a game changer. I would compare this to more of a one- man boat as it is so incredibly stable, comfortable and easy to use. Fishing capability and storage organization is so well thought of. It truly provides a hands free fishing experience. Battery life has been great as I can be out for 8+ hours trolling around and still have juice to spare. This is running with a normal Group 27 DC lead acid battery which is also powering my fish finder. The only suggestion for improvement would be to provide an auxiliary power connection for those that wish to run both the trolling motor and fish finder off the same battery. I had to splice in my own auxiliary power connection off the 12V main lead. Other than that this kayak has met my needs right out of the box and I would say is worth every penny. I have had it for 2 months now and every time I use it still brings a smile to my face!

This is the perfect kayak for a left handed person to operate. I almost always troll baits holding my fishing rod with my left hand and adjusting the throttle with my right hand. The sportsman106 mk should be offered with the throttle on the left side for the majority of people who are right handed.

Purchased the Sportsman 106MK in February and I absolutely love it. This is the 3rd, Kayak/ inflatable I have owned, and I know it will be the last. This unit has everything a Kayak fisherman needs, and provides great comfort. I Did n't want the hassle of fuel, motor maintenance, and a large towable boat, this is exactly what I needed. I 've had it in the water several times, and each time, I am surprised with how easy it cuts through the water. Other fisherman constantly comment on the kayak, and ask where I got it. This morning I heard one man tell his fishing partner, as they fished from the shoreline, `` that's the perfect boat ''... I agree! I am so pleased with the responsiveness, the speed and stability, and the comfort. At 6' 1 '' I thought this might be too small, but I was wrong. I have plenty of room for my gear, and can fish in this kayak all day long. Thank you Old Town!

I had been considering purchasing a fishing kayak for about five years. So many choices out there! I 've had my PDL 132 for about a month, logged a fair amount of time in it and caught a lot of fish to include a few pretty big ones. Fishing and fighting fish from the seat is very comfortable and fun. Organizing all the gear I need is easy. My cast net fits behind my seat. I removed the carrying handle from a mid sized cooler and replaced it with a triple rod holder using SS screws and 5200. This fits in the generous bed behind the seat and is secured by the bungee cord system that comes with the kayak. One loop over the handle facing forward and the other over the rod holder, securing the cooler to the kayak but allowing me to easily open the lid of the cooler to put fish in. I put two rods and a landing net in those rod holders and a third rod goes in one of the other two aft facing integrated rod holders. I found the rails located forward of the seat to be unhelpful so I removed them and laced a bungee cord back and forth between the screws using SS fender washers to pin the cord down. Now, a tackle box the size of the one that comes with the kayak will easily stow on each side. I fish with one in the port side, two under the seat and use the starboard stowage for pliers, fish grabber and other items I need to get to often. A boat bag easily slips under the seat that holds other misc gear. The universal transducer mount is not universal:-), but it was easy to drill the holes in the removable plate needed to mount my Lowrance transducer. Running the wires was incredibly easy and required no hole drilling that resulted in a professional looking install that only took a few minutes. I mounted my chartplotter/FF to the removable plate located to the right of the pedals and stowed the excess data cable neatly in the space underneath. The power cable is routed under the forward hatch cover not requiring any drilling. Note: when selecting your electronics, avoid a unit with a transducer mounting system that will put the transducer below the plane of the hull or risk damaging it when you drag the craft over anything. The battery stowage bag is sized to fit a small 12V battery. I purchased a 10ah battery which fits very neatly in there, but found I needed more run time and upgraded to a larger battery placed in a stowage box which I am still problem solving for a better solution to prevent it from sliding around the forward hatch. The integrated bow carrying handle is great. I run a tie down strap through it when securing my kayak inside my truck and another strap across the middle, through the side carrying handles to finish the aft secure. This approach is incredibly fast and easy and leaves no doubt that the kayak is not going to slide out of the truck. The aft integrated handles are in the right place and make it easy to get a good purchase on the stern when carrying with another person. While on the water, I use the opening of the forward carry to hold a small anchor. I route the line through the carrying handle, under the round bar of the pedal unit and tie it off to the carrying handle on the same side. The anchor line goes in an anchor line bag stowed in the forward hatch. That anchor is used on every trip whether to dig into the beach preventing the kayak from floating away on a rising tide while I 'm walking the shore throwing the cast net for bait or holding position near a school of fish. A factory integrated anchor mounting system on the bow would be a huge plus. I can really scoot with the pedal system even against a strong current and troll for hours effortlessly, which I must say I did not expect. The rudder friction knob feels a little `` economical '' and I think there is a better system to be had. The stainless screw is slowly cutting the groove it rests in and I find that I need to remove the chips it cuts to keep the rudder control moving freely. Perhaps more of a cam type brake would be an improvement? After looking at so many other fishing kayaks over the past few years, when I saw the PDL 132, I knew why I had n't purchased a fishing kayak until now. After several trips, the differences are even more clear. I am extremely happy with my new Old Town and glad I waited for the right one to take to the dance.

I bought my BW PDL 132 in February and have used it about weekly for a couple of months. I fish tidal creeks and rivers, some open ocean, and freshwater lakes and rivers. I am very satisfied with the kayak. The pedal drive is fantastic! I have found that I anchor a lot less with it because it ’s so easy to maintain position while fishing using the pedal drive and rudder. It ’s incredibly fast and powerful. I have had no trouble bucking strong tidal currents with it. The weakest part of the kayak is the rudder system. It feels clunky and awkward as opposed to the PDL drive, which feels well designed, tight, and efficient.

Bought this boat back in August 2020. I am impressed with the quality of the materials and overall comfort. The peddle drive works and well and the instant reverse is a big plus. Accessories are easy to mount and installing a fish finder was easy. All said it is a well made boat and manufactured in the USA.

After renting this kayak from the local park multiple times, I finally purchased my own. It tracks really well as either a tandem or single( sitting in the middle seat). Foot wells are permanent but clip on seats are adjustable for the ultimate fit. Feels very sturdy and would take a large amount of effort to flip it. Not a lot of storage( I pack light anyway) but comfort and stability more than make up for that. Great kayak for me, my son, and dog, but at 12ft and under 60lbs., it is very manageable for those solo outings too. All around great kayak and would highly recommend.

It blew my mind how comfortable I felt in the middle going solo in adverse conditions. I 've had it in some large surf and some heavily currented waters. Not only did I never have any issues of any kind, I never felt like I was n't in control. It's not ideal for fishing, but it can be achieved with some patience and attention to detail. Paddle on!

I purchased this seat in hopes that it would give me a little more support than the original seat in my kayak. I did n't even remove the old seat. I just inflated the lumbar back( fabulous) I must say and sat it in the kayak over the original seat. The new seat is a little higher on my back and the lumbar area gives me the support for a very comfortable ride. I have had back surgery in the low back area and when I would spend time on the water, I always had back pain. I tried flotation cushions to raise me up higher or behind me to give additional support. Now that I have this particular seat I no longer have to put any additional padding anywhere. I am so glad to have found this seat. Now I can kayak for any amount of time I want. Great buy, great price, for such a remarkable cushion.

I have a regular seat and later on learnt about this lumbar support seat. I ordered one and was glad I did cause after a few hours on the water the lumbar seat definitely helps prevent a sore lower back. I use it in my Advanced Elements Convertible( 2 person) kayak. I would recommend it and trust me you wo n't regret it. Its worth the money.

I am not sure older kayakers know the value of your product. My wife and I now both have one and after several hours in the kayak our backs do not feel as strained as it did in the past. We both recommend the product to anyone we see on the river or in any outdoor shops. If we can help promote or assist in selling your back support product, please let us know. More and more `` baby boomers '' are learning to kayak and looking for more comfort in the boats. Sincerely, Jim and Dorothy Berryjdberry1[@]

This is my review of the Quest Passage sit- on- top kayak sent to me by Dick's Sporting Goods. The kayak is easy to pick up and transport with the kayak only being 49lbs. I had no issues getting in or out of the kayak because of its stability. I did n't feel like it was going to tip over with its hull design, and the width being 31 inches. The length being 9. 9 feet from bow to stern made the kayak track well and it was easy to paddle. The molded in footrests were a plus because I could change my foot position anytime with ease. The seat was comfortable the entire duration of time that I was on the water. Easy storage at the front and rear of the kayak makes for a great day on the water for anyone

The Quest Passage 100 kayak is a light weight, fun, playful sit on top kayak. I own a few other kayaks, all 14 feet of more and this was a pleasant change from lugging around a long, heavy boat. Construction and durability seemed solid on par with other makes. When I got it out on the lake, I was surprised by its stability and tracking. Very fun and maneuverable kayak on the open water. It would work perfect for a fishing setup. This will be my go to boat for camping trips during the summer when I prefer to pack light. My favorite feature was the cut out to to place a five gallon bucket and the general open storage setup. This kayak was provided to me an exchange for review

We bought a pair of Intex Explorer K2 inflatable kayaks last summer. They were inexpensive and served as a fine introduction to paddling for our family. Immediately, though, we were turned off by the size and softness of the side pontoons, and how they felt like they were preventing us from paddling efficiently. The floor is also floppy and does n't provide much support. We knew we wanted to upgrade, but all of the boats I was looking at were out of our budget. All of these problems and more were eliminated by the Quest Patoka. Full disclosure, we 've only used it once, so I ca n't speak to long- term durability. However, I was blown away by the initial experience. The Patoka has a drop stitch floor( which is removable for easy cleaning/drying) and high pressure pontoons which are much lower profile than the Intex. Together, these features combined to make a stable, supportive boat that slid across the water with ease, even when loaded to about 75% capacity. The 12+ foot length meant there is much more leg room, the foot supports are a huge upgrade, and the rigid pontoons provide hip support without blocking paddle movement. We will probably replace the inflatable seats with foam ones for better back support, but the seats just clip to metal rings inside the boat, so we should be able to get universal ones with no problem. To my inexperienced eyes, the build quality looked good- all the visible seams look like they have a half inch or more of overlap, and the material feels solid but not brittle. The boat has two skews- a smaller one at the front and a larger one in back. Both attached and removed fairly easily. The bag it came with definitely fits everything, and pack- up does n't take any longer than with our old inflatables. I will try to remember to come back and update this review once we 've used it a few more times, but compared to tue cheap boats we had before, and the Intex Excursion that we 'd been considering( which Big 5 sells for the same price we paid for the Patoka), this kayak feels like a HUGE upgrade, and I definitely am happy with our purchase.

We bought this boat about a year ago, and I could n't be happier with it. We have two now, so our family of four and 2 dogs can all go together. We 've taken these on lakes and Puget Sound. They 've been dragged over beaches, bumped into rocks and bouys and underwater tree branches, and been climbed over by dogs with pointy nails. They blow up easily and perform every time, whether riding solo, or with another person and/or dog. I did upgrade the seat to a high- back seat from a different company for more support- and got a bleacher cushion for more padding underneath me- which makes it much more comfortable. All in all, a great portable kayak that seams to have a lot of the design/build quality of name brand boats at a fraction of the price.

The Patoka Inflatable Kayak can be 2 or 1 person. Comes with carrying Pack for easy storage and packing to your favorite spot at the water. Quite impressive with quality of this Inflatable Kayak. The lightweight maneuverability and stability. The weight limit is a max of 375 total weight. Still great for a adult and small child or one adult. Comes with everything you need to hit the water except the life jackets. Remember if you have 2 people you need 2 life jackets. Also repair kit comes with this as well. I would recommend this if you are needing to Kayak and have a small car or no storage room.

This inflatable kayak has worked well to paddle in our creek and out to the river with my son or daughter. I am careful to avoid downed trees or anything that could puncture it. We also plan to use it in the ocean and intracoastal. My 9yr old son fully inflated and assembled it by himself. It comes with 2 seats, 2 paddles, pump, repair kit, fins, and a nice zippered storage bag. While it is easy to setup, it does take some time and should be noted that there are a lot of parts to keep up with and the once inside the bag it is quite heavy and large to store or transport. For one person, it takes about 15 minutes to deflate and packup and bw 30- 45min to set up the first few times.
When searching for a comfortable kayak, consider features such as adjustable seating, ample legroom, and ergonomic design. Look for kayaks with padded seats and backrests to enhance comfort during long paddling sessions. Additionally, consider the kayak's width and stability, as a wider design can provide more room and a more stable ride.
Comfortable kayaks are typically made from materials like polyethylene, fiberglass, or composite materials. Polyethylene is durable and resistant to impacts, making it a popular choice for recreational kayaks. Fiberglass and composite kayaks tend to be lighter and offer better performance but may come at a higher price point.
The design of a kayak significantly impacts comfort, with factors such as cockpit size, seat height, and overall shape playing crucial roles. A well-designed cockpit allows for easy entry and exit, while a higher seat can reduce strain on the back. Additionally, the kayak's shape can affect stability and maneuverability, contributing to a more enjoyable paddling experience.
Comfortable kayaks are ideal for various activities, including recreational paddling, fishing, and touring. For leisurely outings on calm waters, a comfortable kayak enhances the experience by allowing for longer durations on the water without discomfort. Additionally, anglers benefit from comfort features that support extended fishing trips.
Yes, some kayaks are designed with specific body types in mind, offering varying widths, seat heights, and cockpit sizes. It's important to choose a kayak that accommodates your body shape for optimal comfort and performance. Many manufacturers provide sizing guides to help you find the right fit based on your height and weight.
When selecting a kayak for long-distance paddling, prioritize comfort features such as a supportive seat, adjustable footrests, and adequate storage for gear. Look for kayaks with a streamlined design to enhance speed and efficiency while paddling. Additionally, consider the kayak's weight and portability, as a lighter kayak can be easier to transport and handle over long distances.
