I 've had this kayak for a few years now and we absolutely love it!! I weigh almost 300 lbs and it is very stable. My daughter has a pink youth kayak and we lay down the seats in our Honda CRV( 2008) put mine in nose first, seatbelt through the hand grip, then put hers in upside down and backwards, attaching her hand grip at the nose of her kayak to the back hand grip of my kayak. They both fit perfectly with all our camping stuff underneath. The seat back is so comfortable and worth it!! I got a lifevest that's shorter in the back specifically for kayaking and we can be on the lake all day. I hope this review helps someone else know you can still enjoy kayaking and the outdoors even if you do n't have a camper or truck to haul it all in. We fit just perfectly! Best investment ever!!

I practiced assembling the kayak twice in my apartment, then took it out to a lake for the real test. Still had to check my notes, so it took me 15- 20 minutes to assemble. Once I got it in the water, it was wonderful. There were strong gusts of wind, as well as a steady breeze, but had no trouble making a straight heading to wherever I wanted to go. Wish I had gotten one of these kayaks sooner.

[ My first kayak and the first time ever in a kayak. Well I have a few years in my rowing shell. I learned balance in that using the oars but I knew it would be a bit different in a Kayak. I got this kayak for exercise and to get out a few times a week. He is my first time in the water. Early March in the Northeast. No wind. Calm water. Clear sky. 46 degrees. Put on dry suit because of thirty degree water just in case. This was a good time to go, because there are no boats in the water. I put the Bay ST together on a dock and since I did that a few times at home, it only took about ten to fifteen minutes. I used the inflatable floats that came with the Bay ST. I also got a paddle float and a bilge pump separately from Oru. I carried the Kayak to the edge of the dock with one hand, which I like, because my other hand is free, I found that getting into the kayak was a little tight, but I think that was because I adjusted the seat back too tight. Next time I know not to go too tight with the adjustment straps. I easily found the foot brace and got settled in. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 ” and 200 lbs and fit in there fine. Since it was my first time ever in a kayak, I sat at the dock with one hand on the dock until I felt relaxed and stable enough to push off. I found that relaxing the stomach muscles and not tensing up calms the boat down. I did some side paddles and backwards paddles near the dock. I went forward away from the dock and the Bay ST just took right off. I think I wasn ’ t exactly centered in the boat because it listed to the port side. That wasn ’ t enough to go back and get out, so I just went on. I paddled very slow getting used to the strokes and just quietly coasted past geese, ducks, and cormorant who didn ’ t really seem bothered by me going by. I went out for about an hour hooray I didn ’ t flip over. Getting back to the dock and out of the kayak was easy. I had my rowing shell boat slings there, so I just put the kayak on them so it was easy to wash down and dry. Disassembly fold up took only about five to ten minutes. I put the kayak pack over it and put the kayak in the back seat of my car. Easy, Fast. Done. I think the more times I go, the faster I will be able to assemble and disassemble this kayak. I don ’ t plan on skuffing onto any beaches or bumping rocks so hopefully this kayak will hold up for a few years. Thanks Oru for making a kayak I don ’ t have to pay to keep anywhere or have the need for clumsy and expensive car rook racks.

[ I 'm very impressed with my new Bay ST kayak. I 've been canoeing and kayaking all my live( I 'm 62) and have a good deal of experience in all types of paddle craft in all types of conditions. For its length and width, I 'd put the Bay ST in the top of its size category. The boat is surprisingly stiff and responsive, easy to paddle with high or low paddle angles, tracks well with moderate strokes, turns easily and tightly in a lean, and is very comfortable. All of this from a corrugated plastic folding boat that only weighs 26 pounds! Amazing. I 'm impressed with this little kayak and am eager to put it to the test in big water( with a spray skirt).

We took our Oru Kayaks out of the box on the shore of String Lake, Grand Teton NP, with directions in hand and gathering onlookers anticipating the final form of our clever unfolding. The first attempt was frustrating. I might have said a swear word or two. However, the second kayak emerged more easily and lacked the initial assembly drama. Those interested in our maiden voyage were delighted to see how light the boats were and how easily we launched them. After sliding into the water, my first stroke shot the boat forward and I knew I was in for a great day of paddling. My wife and I simultaneously commented about how easily the boats paddled and how responsive they were. As a side note, thank you very much for supplying a decent paddle in your package. It paddled as well as my trusty Werner paddle and broke down better. The first test came at the north end of String Lake where we had to portage the boats a quarter mile to Leigh Lake. At 26 pounds apiece, we easily carried both Oru boats together. On a previous trip to this same destination, we carried 65 pound plastic kayaks individually over the portage, which means we walked a mile with more weight, instead of a quarter mile with lighter Oru boats. Paddling Leigh Lake was a dream. Even in light chop from an afternoon gust, the Oru Kayaks paddled great! Our heavier, plastic ocean kayaks totally out perform the Oru kayaks on our home waters of Monterey Bay, but they don ’ t come close to the convenience, compact storage, and light weight we need for packing in our trailer and heading out to lakes in the northwest. The best part: I didn ’ t buy have to buy a kayak rack for the cab of my truck, which my wife isn ’ t tall enough to reach anyway, for two folding kayaks that fit snugly in the truck bed. Thank you for a pair of really fun kayaks. More adventures to follow…

Took my Oru Inlet for its first run. I had to wait for the ice to melt enough( Northeast Connecticut). I am very impressed. It was easy to assemble and disassemble and was extremely maneuverable on the water.

The Inlet is great fun to paddle on small inland lakes and rivers. It takes up very little space when folded, and is quick and easy for one person to set up. One tiny nit to pick: the bulkheads are a little tricky to position. I ’ ve marked the bottoms of mine with dots to help align them, and it would be helpful for the setup instructions to be clearer about where the tops of the bulkheads should line up. Perhaps alignment marks could be added to the skin at both top and bottom. I am very happy with this boat.

After a few years of looking and thinking and being a bit concerned about the price, I finally decided which kayak I wanted- and then which Oru model made the most sense. I had originally thought I wanted the Bay for the closed sitting area, but went with the Inlet. My use will be less `` sporty '' and more recreational and the open area seemed fine. I have now taken her on her maiden voyage at a small lake near me. I first spent the time needed to figure out how to put her together in my living room. When I did it for the first time on the beach, it took under 5 minutes and less than that to take it apart. My 30 minute paddle on the lake was fun. The Inlet was very stable. I did drip water into the boat when paddling, but it was a warm day and felt good and was not enough that my seat got wet. I 'm excited to do more paddling. I can see that the cost is what one pays for light weight, portability, and ease of assembly. I 'm ok with that. I 'll be able to play with this model for many years to come.

The inlet kayak I bought is even better than I was expecting.. it is so light and agile in the water and seriously takes only a couple minutes to put together and fold back up after I have enjoyed my paddle. I also bought the light paddle and the splash guard that besides adding drip protection from the paddle is adds a classy look to my new kayak. So happy that I indulged and bought it..

We now have many kayaks. Our new Pungo 120s are our go to kayaks. The seat is by far the most comfy of all the kayaks we have. Tracking straight and true is not a problem at all. Very stable. I was skeptical at first. The price point was well below other pedal kayaks. It fast and quite maneuverable for its size. I had an issue with the pedal drive but the customer service folks at Pelican were very responsive and went above and beyond my expectations in resolving the issue and they did it fast. Since then it's given me no trouble. Lakes, rivers, bays or ocean it takes it all in stride and is very stable. The seat is extremely comfortable and all the rails and pole holders turned my milk crate from a `` carry all '' to an anchor and cooler holder. Why 5 stars if I had some issues? It's a kayak. They are little boats made out of plastic and bits of metal, they all have issues. The huge upside is all the features that came standard made it so I was fishing instead of customizing it.

Great kayak for the price. I always thought a hobie was the only option for a solid pedal drive kayak, but personally I think that Pelican has designed a way more stable and simple kayak that comes ready to fish. The best feature from this kayak is its stability and hull design!

Let me start off by saying this is my first kayak so, I ca n't compare it to other pedal kayaks or any other kayak for that matter. I took it out the day I bought it to test it out and it did an outstanding job, I even caught a few sheepshead and snapper. The biggest that I notice was how comfortable the seat it. I ’ ve been on at least 10 trips in this kayak since my purchase four months ago and have been very pleased with the comfort, roominess for all of my gear and the stability. Another plus is the track mounts that are pre- installed. They make mounting rod holders, fish finders and other accessories really easy. My Hydryve broke recently and Pelican ’s customer service was absolutely great! They are very responsive and quickly set me a replacement in about a week.

Being 6 ’ 4 ”( 170 lbs) with 36 ” inseam legs and size 14 feet, I was worried. But after trying the Beach LT out on a lake for 2 hours( 5- 6 miles), I ’ m happy with the comfortable fit with plenty of room and adjustment range left for taller people. Compared to my similar sized conventional kayak( Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120) the Beach LT is a bit faster. But it also tracks less well and is more tippy due to the more v- shaped bottom. Small prices to pay for the easy transport advantages.

The Stealth 110 brings ease and comfort to kayak lovers and beginners. From the adjustable seat, to easy to carry handles or for long trips it has you covered with two points of strapped storage to even an under storage compartment. It is one of the most stable kayaks I have been on, it also has multiple foot rests for riders of all different heights. Two features that I enjoyed is the fishing pole adjustable holder stationed in the middle for ease of access. But as a woman the back wheel really helps set this kayak apart. It not only helps stabilize the kayak but makes it a one person job pulling it to the water. I really am enjoying the versatile uses of this kayak without having to buy extra add ons.

Hensley2181
Recently, I had the opportunity to try Lifetimes Stealth 11 set on top kayak and I ’ m impressed! First, thing that I noticed is the light weight and easy mobility for a kayak that weighs under 60lbs. This platform includes a skeg wheel that assists in easy transport along with four different carrying handles that provides you with plenty of lift options. The next notable feature is the seat and deck area. For a fixed seat option, this is certainly one of the more comfortable options I ’ ve tried. There is a good amount of padding and comfort in the seat and back that will ease fatigue on long outings. I like the open deck storage area a lot. There is plenty of room to strap down a hydration system, tackle or other kayaking equipment without it getting in the way while fishing. There is also a very convenient storage hatch on the deck just in front of the seat. Behind your seat is another large area to store a cooler like the Lifetime 28 quart high performance or a tackle crate setup. Once I got the Stealth 11 on the water, that ’s where the performance really shines. It tracks perfectly and is easy to paddle. I felt very stable and comfortable in the kayak and found the center mounted rod holding very convenient while moving from one spot to another. Its lightweight design truly helps the overall performance and tracking capabilities. I ’ m am 5 ’ 9 and roughly 180 lbs. and found that there is plenty of room and space for me to stretch out with the multiple footrest positions. Lastly, the price of this kayak is very affordable for a setup with great features and reliable performance. Lifetimes Stealth 11 is a perfect platform for any angler looking to avoid pricey kayaks but still enjoy popular features and performance.

If you are looking for a fishing Kayak that does everything a high dollar Kayak does at a fraction of the cost look no further! I have had a lot of Kayaks in my day and I can honestly say this is one of my favorites. The new intelligent scupper system worked like a charm and kept me completely dry. Kayaks I have owned in the past always soaked my feet with residual water after a while paddling around. The built in wheel in the keel made transport to and from the water an absolute breeze! The Built in Rod Holders were the perfect size for my full size catfish poles all the way down to my smaller panfish rods. The kayak was super easy to paddle and tracked really well. I am 6 feet tall 235lbs and I was even able to stand up in this kayak!!!! Overall I would give the Lifetime Stealth 11 kayak 2 BIG thumbs up!

Love this kayak! The Lifetime Stealth 11 is super stable, and the SmartFlow Scupper system keeps the water out, which is a huge plus. The rod holders are in just the right spots, so grabbing my gear is super easy. Plus, the padded seat is really comfy for those long fishing days. It ’s also a breeze to move around with the carry handles and skeg wheel. If you ’ re into fishing, you can ’ t go wrong with this one!

The Lifetime Sit On Top Stealth 11 Kayak is my first ever kayak and I 'm excited to talk about it. It has some great features and I 'll address them all. 1.) The adjustable padded seat was very comfortable to me while a paddled around the pond and fished. 2.) The tank well storage areas in front and back have plenty of room for my gear although on the maiden voyage I chose to take very little. The bungee cord lacing is extremely tight and will safely secure my gear. 3.) The tracking was on spot as I paddled. Getting from point A to point B was very easy. And maneuvering was just a breeze. I found out you do n't have to paddle hard to get this kayak moving and bringing to a stop or making a sharp turn. This was extremely easy. 4.) The Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 seems very stable and at no time was I concerned about it tipping over. 5.) The multiple foot rests provide great comfort while paddling and allow me to also stretch my legs when resting. 6.) The storage hatch could not be in a more convenient location. Right in front of me if I needed to get into it quickly. 7.) The 4 carry handles seemed strong enough and easy on the hands as I pulled the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 to the waters edge. 8.) I liked the idea of the adjustable rod holder sitting between my legs and out of my way when paddling or landing a fish. The 2 flush mounted rod holders behind the seat make switching rods quick and easy. 9.) I also like the skeg wheel. No worries when I have to pull the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 over concrete. 10.) So I paddled around about 4 hours before I decided it was to hot out and time to quit. The Smartflow scupper system did it's job keeping water off the deck. 11.) The paddle holder is in perfect reach, no need to lean or stretch to get to it. So I have say that the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 is the perfect first kayak for me to start out with.

In my opinion this is the best fishing kayak and platform for bass fishing. When people ask me to recommend a kayak it ’s always this one. I bought the Pelican Classic 120 a month ago. I have been out in it several times and will agree with other reviews that say it is comfortable, quite stable and needs tracking help in any wind. I ended up building a skeg for it rather than order options found on line. The skeg improved tracking in wind greatly. Paddling is fine but it is not a fast kayak by any means. Mostly due to the hull design. It does have a good load capacity which came in handy paddling in bundles of firewood to a remote campsite in VT. I have no regrets with the purchase and will recommend to those wanting a decent fishing kayak.

[ Found the right kayak for me. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 and 235lbs 73 years old. Needed the length and cockpit size for comfort and stability and tracking. Yet can easily carry the kayak both assembled or in the box.( With backpack or straps) Performed well in a protected( calm) salt marsh on the North Fork of LI. It ’s not for windy or choppy conditions but mostly have paddled calm water for last 35 years in hard shell boats so given the portability and performance, might be giving up my hard shell…. third time assembling got it down to 12 minutes!

Still a little more than disappointed that I could not get the Beach Sport LT in white. It ’s going to bug me the entire time. Especially when I use it in the hot weather. Plus, the white looks so much better. I will add more after my maiden voyage. If I decide to keep it…

[ We purchased the Beach Sport kayak for the ability to bring Tippi, our Golden Doodle along with us! We had our maiden voyage in Alamitos Bay, and paddled around Naples Canals in Long Beach California! Tippi loved it and got her sea legs going fine! We love to include her in our adventures, and the other Kayaks did not have room for her. The boat felt stable and solid for paddling in the nice calm bay. My husband paddled Mombo( the name for the new black kayak). I paddled his Coast xt— that one is a pain to assemble,( compared to my Bay ST), but the paddle is sweet and fast. My Bay St started leaking, which is also what spurred the new purchase. I paddled much more than my husband, so the Coast is in pretty good shape— but I noticed a little compromise on one of the folding corners! I might need to repair it before it leaks. We are looking forward to more adventures soon! Thank you for building these wonderful kayaks. Wendy

[ I absolutely love my new Oru Kayak! It arrived promptly, as promised. I ordered the bundle with the backpack, oar and cell phone waterproof bag; I also added the life vest and safety whistle. My first assembly of the kayak took a bit longer, but worked marvelously. I have taken it out once on the very calm lake behind my house — smooth riding. Can ’ t wait for more great kayaking!!

We purchased both the Connelly Nautic 9. 5& 11. 5 inflatable kayaks for our Spring Break road trip. Both IKs are great overall while providing good tracking and stability for us novice paddlers. With the spacious and comfortable cockpit, zippered dry hatch, and lightweight design, this tandem kayak is perfect for our adventures. The cover, HD hull, and inner cockpit bladder ensure that the kayak is durable and rigid, while the front stabilizing fin and bottom skeg provide great tracking. The kayak has supreior back support for the rear paddler, so long days were comfortable. The bow and stern handles make it easy to carry from the van. Overall, we highly recommend!

My husband and I purchased this after experiencing a tandem kayak for the first time while on a cruise. At first I thought it would be difficult to paddle as a team but it was the most fun we 've had in awhile! The Perception Rambler has a bit of weight to it but between the two of us we can easily carry it to the water. The weight also lends itself to stability both getting into the kayak as well as during turbulence on the water. Overall construction and performance aside, it's beautiful! It's visible out on our local lakes and has held up over time with transporting and regular use. I highly recommend this kayak!

Bought this and a Pacer for my boys' birthdays. Tried them out for the first time today. Good times! The Kokanee is quite stable. It's a little heavy and bulky on land, but handled easily enough by two people. Handles well in the water. I purchased padded seat bottoms, as I was told a long trip would be uncomfortable without them. Only complaint I can possible come up with is it was missing a couple small parts.

I have not used the kayak yet. I bought it early and have been waiting for it to warm up. I am hoping to use it in May. So far it is exactly what I had expected after looking at it online. Like I said, I have n't used it yet but I am kind of wishing there was an upgraded seat available, but I knew that when I bought it.

We have owned this kayak for almost 8 years. Aside from the seat back and clips that attach it eventually breaking, we have had zero problems. I contacted customer service and they had a shipment( at no cost to us) in the mail within 24 hours with replacement parts. Myself and multiple of my children use this kayak for summer fun and fishing. I love using it with my toddlers because it is SO stable, you almost can not turn it over even if you wanted to. Excellent for a family style kayak adventure on the lake, or those who prefer more stability. We have even taken this one to the ocean twice and used for fishing, it withstands the waves and proved very useful for dropping bait. Only downside that comes with the stability, of course, is it is quite heavy to move. Luckily, ours does not go far.

This isnt an inexpensive kayak but you get more than what you pay for in a stabile one person fishing craft that is packed with good features. Are the flaws? Sure there are some things they might want to consider such as the raised track handles put quit a bit on leverage on the hull but having those tracks there opens up all kinds of possibilities. This was my first yak and I ca n't imagine I could have bought any better this boat is as much fun as it is functional. One suggestion for future models is a sucken battery well to lower the center of gravity a bit and to help keep the battery in place.

GirlDadFishing
[ I have been holding off reviewing my AutoPilot 120 for a year and a half. I wanted to put it through the grind of a full tournament season and many different weather conditions. After completing a full season, I am amazed with this kayak. The stability of the primary and secondary are unmatched to other competitor's kayaks. Spot lock on the MinnKota trolling motor is a game changer. Having the ability to sit in one spot while focusing on docks, brush piles, and deep water is vital when the wind wants to float you off your spots. There is plenty of room in the cockpit and in the stern of the kayak for so many accessories. If you are looking for a kayak that can do it all, look no further than the AutoPilot 120 or 136. You will not be disappointed.
5
MattS
One of those things that just changes your perspective on fishing forever. Spot Lock is unreal in so many situations, both fresh and salt, and combined with plenty of tank well space and the stability to stand while fishing, this is the ultimate fishing kayak bar none!
5
Sean
The autopilot 120 is an amazing platform. Not just in stability and weight, but the ability to spot lock is a game changer. If you are serious about fishing this is the kayak for you. Being able to spot lock and stay on the fish in wind is a win- win. I ’ ve had this kayak for over a year and it just performs the way it did since day one. Great kayak and well worth the investment
5
Mrsfun
I have been fishing in my autopilot for 3 years, competitively and recreationally in all types of water- rivers, lakes, ponds all over the country. The kayak itself is extremely stable and I am comfortable standing or sitting. Autopilot is easy to use, spotlock is a must have tool when you find that spot on shore or offshore you want to stay on! Plenty of room for accessories, equipment, whatever you need. The seat is very comfortable and easy to adjust. To me this is the perfect fishing kayak!

This is an absolutely excellent kayak for beginners and seasoned kayakers alike. The width of the Passage offers exceptional stability, while its shorter length makes it easy to maneuver through both large and small bodies of water. The seat is surprisingly comfortable even when sitting for 3+ hours. Although this is not classed as an angler kayak, the built- in paddle keeper makes it easy to bring a rod and reel along if desired. The back scupper holes also fit my poles perfectly, so they may as well be flush mounted rod holders! My only qualm with this yak is the lack of storage/a dry well- if it had that, it would be the perfect yak. This has been a great purchase, and I love that it fits both myself( 5' 1 '') and my 30lb pup. It's also fairly light and not as much of a pain to lug around as I expected, which is a big bonus!

Review: Great First Experience with the Quest Passage 100 I recently took my Quest Passage 100 out on my local neighborhood pond for the first time, and it performed beautifully. The kayak felt incredibly stable, even sitting on top, and paddling was smooth and easy. The departure was seamless, and the back support was very comfortable throughout my time on the water. There ’s plenty of legroom, which is a big plus, and the cup holder and fishing pole spots are well- placed and convenient. I especially love the storage area in the back—it ’s perfect for a cooler or any gear you need, and the bungee cords keep everything secure. Overall, I ’ m really happy with this kayak and can ’ t wait to take it out again!

This is my first real kayak and I was torn between a sit in or a sit on option and then I found this! Super unique design and I ’ m very impressed with the quality of the product. I really like that I have options to choose from a sit in to sit on top. Transitioning between the two was really easy and I could do by myself. It handled really well in the water better than my other sit on top kayaks. It balances really nicely so if you ’ re not sure of your skills you will be comfortable giving kayaking a try on this. It did take 2 of us to move it. I ’ m sure a taller stronger person would have no trouble. I am 5 ’ 4 ” and used the foot rest at the very top, so there is definitely plenty of room for a taller person. But it also was a nice fit for me. The sit in top does have a lip so you could put a skirt on it, but I wouldn ’ t as there ’s is nothing on the side connection that would stop water from coming in like a rubber seal. For the small details it has a curve in the top side and strap for your paddle holder. A small cubby you could put your phone and stuff in with easy access and it ’s not on the floor. There is a lay down cup holder, which held my drink but I didn ’ t like as my bottle got wet. And sometimes I have a drink that the lid is open so I would have nowhere to put it. All together though this is a great option if you want the best of both worlds. I plan on taking this instead of my other kayaks so I can transition and enjoy the best of both!

Wow! What a great idea. Many kayakers want a sit on top for the warmer months of the year, while they might also want a sit inside for the cooler months of the year. Or, they might want a sit inside on a summer day to keep the sun off their legs. The Cabrio 11- does both! It ’s a convertible! Pull it ’s top off for an open air sit on top experience, or put it ’s top on for a sit inside experience. It ’s your choice! My favorite feature is the little cubby hole storage area for my phone that is in easy reach just under the sit inside cover, really cool idea! This seems like a very durable kayak with its HDPE construction and I really like how Lifetime has treated the kayak to resist UV damage, like they do all of their other outdoor products! Check out the Cabrio 11- it ’s worth your time and money!

I took it out on the Meramec River in MO. The Kayak rides high in the water, excellent stability, easy to get on and off, I felt safe on it and it was better than my Pelican sit in Kayak. I did re enforce the seat buckles with zip ties. All in all I would buy it again..

We love these kayaks! They are the first ones we have ever had and we like the features that they have. Waterproof storage comes in handy for our phones and keys. The straps on the back hold our life vests nicely. The reclining seatbacks are nice as well, except one of straps sometimes breaks free if you lean back to hard. Might have to fix that one. Otherwise we are very happy with them!

You can ’ t beat it. It trails amazing. Turning is a bit hard than the 10 XT. So many accessories and options on the kayak and a very comfortable seat. Very stable kayak and a large cockpit. It is so relaxing to have your legs out over the kayak and seat all the way back. Also, if you ’ re like me that likes to do overnight camping, kayak will supply you with all that room. And it ’s not only perfect for that, it perfect for just an hour on the water. You get what you paid for. So If you ’ re looking for a kayak that is easy to paddle, vapor is way to go. If you ’ re looking at getting 8 or 10 or 12 XT all the same except the length.

Was walleye fishing on a large bowl shaped lake known for rough water. I paddled out to a point and started catching walleye. The wind came up and the 14- 16 ’ v bottom aluminum boats headed for the marina. I paddled out for another drift. I didn ’ t head in until I took a wave over the side and thought maybe that was enough. Great, stable kayaks! I have a Vapor 10 as well. Building a farm pond on my property this fall. They will see heavy use from here on out.

The kayak is very stable and smooth in the water. I do n't use anything other than Old Town ever since I tried one several years ago. I feel the Old Town Company makes quality product and it will last for a long time.

First time trying out my new Vapor 12 Angler that I actually bought for my 12 YO Grandson on a local lake to see how it handled in the 20 mph wind. Funny thing, side wind wanted to push the stern and not the high profile bow. Tracked well with a tail wind and into the wind. Slides easily through the water reasonably fast with no fatigue. He likes over night Kayak camping on the quiet slow to medium flow streams in the area and I see this as having plenty of room for his gear. His take on it, He loves it and had no trouble with the side wind pushing the stern, might be because of his lighter weight Ample room for my 6' 2 '' 185 lb frame. Seat adjust, modest thigh/knee pads plus moving the drain plug to the bow rather than the gunnel are very good. Very nice kayak for the money. Four stars for the stern slipping in the wind. Would buy again

[ Takes time to break it in, but gets a memory to the folds. It doesn ’ t take long to put together or take down. It ’s fast and lightweight. Overall I ’ m impressed with the kayak. It ’s easy to transport! No need to put a heavy kayak on the roof of your SUV! Handles great in flat water, current, and rougher water conditions.

Just back from 3 days paddling Maryland Chesapeake Bay eastern shore. Light weight folds and unfolds in about 15 minutes. Seaworthy, fast, tracks straight. [ I have owned the Old Town Bigwater PDL 132 for 4 years now and can tell you, this kayak embodies the name bigwater and other all is an amazing platform! It's fast, agile, stable, adaptable, and very customizable. The drill plates are really nice! They allow you to add accessories that require drilling holes to mount that accessory but you do n't have to worry about drilling into the main kayak itself. But my favorite thing about the bigwater, the PDL drive in combo with that sleek, narrow hull! The Bigwater truly is a beast but can really get moving out on the water. I 've been able to pedal it, bow into the wind and still hit 4mph- 4. 2mph! That's great for a kayak! It's hull just eats waves too. The bow has a narrow point that is designed to split waves, make it easier for the kayak to keep moving through those conditions and I ca n't tell you how nice it is to have that feature being a trout troller up in the Rocky Mountains, dealing with wind waves, chop, and heavy wind. Other all, the Old Town Bigwater PDL 132 is the perfect kayak that gives you all of the features to be an amazing fishing platform but gives you that unique kayaking experience with it's narrow hull! I 'd always recommend the bigwater!

[ I bought this kayak about 8 months ago and really waited to provide accurate feedback. This is a great solid kayak, very fast and stable. I have been out in saltwater with high winds, swells and can still stand on this no problem. I have had many great adventures and caught countless fish and made many new kayak friends. Highly recommend this kayak to anybody interested. Easy to add on extras as well.
