I appreciate the rear foot stability provided by the deep snug heel counter. I got a great fit by removing the insoles to insert my custom full length foot orthotics. A few triangles of synthetic material seem to be somewhat breathable. The forefoot is flexible and roomy, for the balls of the feet and the toes. Good ground feel and ‘ touch ’. They have a cool classic look. These days in Nike, I am either a Men ’s 11 or 11. 5 Medium. The 11. 5 is just right- with thin socks, like the Nike Spark socks.

I bought this shoe because I had previously used the FJ Contour Jogger golf shoe that had the same sole. The Contour casual has the same benefit of the excellent gripping sole( without spikes) and also the ability to go car to pro shop( not wearing out golf cleats). The leather on this shoe is amazing and if you 've owned FJ before, you know to buy something when it's available because there's always the poss of things changing in future years with sytle etc. The functionality of this shoe is A++, the quality is A++, the durability is A++. I can not speak for waterproof quality as I have not worn the shoe in wet conditions, but FJ has always warrantied thier products well and so I think that will be A+ as well.

I purchased the Men's Mt. Maddsen Slip- On Shoe in October 2022 about a month before a trip to Northern Ireland. I was looking for a comfortable hiking shoe. Having previously owned a pair of Timberland SmartWool slip- ons that were wonderful to wear, I gave the Mt. Maddsen slip- ons a try. They did not disappoint. The leather uppers softened and molded themselves to fit my foot so they have become my preferred shoe for working in the yard as well as hiking. They shed water well and the thick soles keep my foot out of puddles in the rain. After 2 years of hard use( I write this in 2024) the soles are worn, but no separation at all from the leather uppers. Very well made.( This is for the model A6660 made in Vietnam)

First Pair still going strong( did have a the stich on one right slipper untie after several years, will have to get it retied/sewn). Basically these are well built slippers that will last several years. Soles after several years have held up well. I typically don ’ t write reviews but after a day of nonstop wearing in the snow I need to give Red Wing huge props for these boots. Not are they only the most comfortable boot I may have ever owned, they kept my foot entirely dry the entire day and when i reached into the boot to see if it was damp at all it was entirely dry. The cushion and comfort in this boot is unreal. I ’ m not a hunter nor do I use these boots for work. I wear them to walk my labs during the winter in all weather. worth the money. I ’ m actually surprised they don ’ t charge more for these since there is a well worth premium on Red Wings. They ’ re also a great boot for just casual wear.

Being on my feet most of the days for the past 30+ years of my career, I need a greatly comfortable pair of shoes.... especially with my lower discs deteriorated. Also need the shock resistance working on 120- 480 volt equipment. Also need the slip resistance on slippery and/or oily surfaces. These have been my 'go- to' for a couple decades now. These are more comfortable to me than any pair of 'tennis show' I 've worn There is a negative to the comfort... the shoes are actually designed as a 'trail style' shoe. That means the soles are softer than a typical work shoe/boot. It's worth my comfort to have to buy a new pair a little sooner than I would another work boot. I wear the low and high tops.

A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago. Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them. And boy am I glad I do. These have been my year- round daily boot, for literally all weathers in Colorado, and I wear them literally every day. The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes. I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much. I wear these hiking, Jeeping, running errands, going outside in general, these are what I want on my feet. I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!) They are such amazing boots, that I base any other boot I try on them. And none have compared yet. You still debating whether to get them or not? Do you like/want to buy multiple pairs of the same boot, or have one that will last through the ages, and all the crazy in between? You wo n't regret these, I guarantee.

I use them on my gentleman ‘s farm of 11 acres. Morning, noon or night as I head out, I slip them easily onto my feet and accomplish my chores. Despite the shoes being soaked in rainy or muddy conditions, they have never gotten wet on the inside. Despite regular trauma from numerous types of equipment, the surface has remained intact. I 've only wore these a few times but so far I really like them. I may have got a half size too big but they are spacious, flat and proivide lots of room for my toes. The traction on the bottom feels really good as well. I had ordered the low top to see if they would replace my trail glove but unfortunately those ones seem to have a much higher arch support than these mids. These ones are much more neutral. So if you are like me and want a more barefoot feel then these may work even if the low ankle wrapts did not feel good for you. I wear a 10 in some of their shoes and I got a 10. 5 in these.

I own/have owned four pairs of heritage Red Wings. Really, I love them all and am a big fan…they ’ re perhaps my favorite brand for sentimental reasons and quality for the cost. But these I just lobe as they are the only pair that have become completely comfortable without some slight compromise of comfort. They did take some breaking in but nothing like my 877s. And now are super comfortable while providing great protection, support and durability. I have feet issues and sadly My Iron Rangers and 877s both hurt some days when wearing. These? Never. I ’ ve owned several pairs of Blundstone ’s Chelseas and these are FAR better made and superior in comfort. I bought a pair of these last fall, and they ’ ve quickly become some of my favorite boots. I was expecting a significant break- in period, but they truly had out- of- the- box comfort. The leather is supple, the soles are forgiving and the elastic hugs the ankle perfectly. Overall, a very well- made, good- looking boot that I ’ m always happy to slip on.

I could't find these boots at any retail outlet close by my home. I took a chance and bought them on line. I know my Iron ranger size and my 1907 size so I took a chance and purchased the same size as my Iron Rangers. Initially, I almost sent them back. They were very difficult to take off and to put on and they were stiff as heck.... That was almost 3 months ago. Today they are soft and comfortable and much easier going on and coming off. I 'm so glad I stuck with them!

I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

Just bought/received a pair of the LT1 in black. Used them once so far and was very pleased with how comfortable they were, they have a very stable grip even in humid conditions. They size a bit on the big side, I doubted whether to send them back and get one size down but given the need to use them went ahead and do n't regret it. Bought them and the price went down a few days later, called customer service and got reimbursed the difference fairly quickly!
