This is my third pair of Carhart 's 6 '' Soft Toe Work Boot. I love them. They are tough, long lasting and comfortable. I use them for my everyday foot wear except dress occassions. I even take my daily four mile walk in them. I hike in them and hunt in them. For me, they are the best boot I have every owned in terms of quality. When properly maintained, they are water repellent. This would n't have been my third pair if I was n't completely sold on this Carhart product.

I was in the market for new boots. Heard through the grapevine that i should give this brand a chance. Got them as a gift and i am beyond ecstatic. The boots fit me well( run a little big, but not a con) and the inner sole is almost heavenly. I work in a warehouse where i stand on concrete 8 hours a day. I normally add an extra insert for added support, but there really is no need for these boots. While mainly for work, i definitely want to get the most out of these boots, but i must say that these particular boots i have are not cut out for hiking. Not a con in the least bit, though a bit of a bummer in the long run. So after spending about 40 hours over a few days in these boots, i am very happy with my georgia boots.

Worth the money, for me they lasted little over than a year but I work 12 hour shifts between 40- 60 hrs a week in a recycling plant in AZ and we are exposed to kinda harsh conditions daily( dry/dusty areas and wet areas with puddles too), not too mention the +100 degree summer temps we get so they worked fine for me. These are pretty solid work shoes. I have had a pair now for a few years and they are still going strong. My work gives us all an allowance for work shoes/boots and I bought another pair of these because they 're so dependable. But to be honest, the pair I currently have do n't really need replacing yet. They 're still holding up just fine. No tears, rips, or weak points. The leather is thick and has held up very well over the years. The tread is wearing slowly as well. On top of all that, they are comfortable. These have a lot of years of service left in them. I think the only way these can be improved is by reducing the weight. They are a little heavy on my feet, which can be attributed to the steel toe. If these were composite toe, they would be a perfect work shoe.

These are very comfortable boots.. They fit and feel like sneakers but have great ankle support. I do busway work for power plants, which requires a lot of climbing and crawling and these boots have held up very well over the past three jobs( total of almost six 70- ish hour work weeks) so far with no signs of degradation. They are lightly insulated for the waterproofing, so I think they could get a little warm for the hot and humid months.

Well first off these are Lightweight and at the end of the day you don ’ t feel like a horse shedding a saddle. They slip off and my feet feel great. I did put my arch supports in and these boots picked up where my other Georgia boots left off. The soles of the boots grip well on many surfaces and the tops have a nice feel and not too restrictive also. I ordered a half size bigger, since I wear wool soaks for added cushion on my feet. Now the only draw back is I wish they were a little narrower by a little. These feel like they are wide instead of a standard width. Again, my wool soaks help make up for some of the looseness but it is not a deal breaker by no means. Thus far for everyday work boots for someone who is on their feet a lot on concrete, these have done really well.

The laces need replaced after roughly 3- 6 months of use because they get shredded under the duress of tying and tightening your laces daily. 2. Being waterproof comes in handy often, especially when working outside. But it does mean that if you have sweaty feet, it keeps the sweat in too. Not quite as `` breathable '' as I would want. But like I said, I 've never found a boot to do a better job. So it is what it is.

I wore a different Georgia boot for 3- 4 years before buying this one. My other one was not waterproof. It started falling apart after using it on my dirt farm. With this one I can walk in the creeks and all over. It is super comfortable, waterproof, light, and fits great! It handles cow manure, creeks, woods, rocks, dirt, etc.-- Just all- around great! In addition, the bottom grip is nice. I do n't have any problems walking or shoveling, and the inside cushion makes you want to wear it for all occasions. The only thing you might have to do is replace the cushion every now and then; with around 230 lbs. the cushion performs well, but takes a toll. For winter, I recommend some thick, cushioned, wool socks. Wool socks and boot make it a winning combination that ca n't be beat by any other. Buy it!

I have had at least 10 pairs of these boots in a row since first discovering them. I work/walk 10yrs a day on concrete and I wear them a year and replace. This is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I hope Rocky continues to make them for years to come.

My husband has worn these boots for probably 10 years, maybe longer. He is rough on everything and his boots are no exception. The ironclad ’s definitely withstand the test of time. Excellent cushioning and support, good tread, and the leather exterior withstands all of the wear, rear, and abuse my husband puts them through everyday.- 0. 5 stars because we can ’ t find the Ironclad in stores anymore, and while we ’ re happy to order them online, it would be nice to get them locally from time to time. Other than that, he loves them, and I love that I can still get them year after year for him.

My sister bought me a pair a little bit ago and I love them they look great and they feel great I worked in them for about 3 days/30 hours now and even though they are not broken in yet they are still comfortable when these inevitably break on me I will be buying another pair of these.. the only thing I do n't like is that the laces are a bit thin but that 's just a preference for me.
