The first couple of times I wore these, I wasn ’ t sure. I had been wearing Sketchers pickleball shoes, and these were less cushy but have better arch support. Although they don ’ t feel as soft when I wear them, I have much less foot and knee discomfort after I ’ m done playing. They did take a little bit to break in, but now that I ’ m used to them I can see that they provide far more support. I ’ ll definitely be back for another pair when these wear out.

The first tennis shoe I have worn not requiring a significant break- in period. There was no need for mid- match Band- aids or doubling up on socks. The wide- set shoelace holes allows me to easily customize the fit yet does n't impact the toe box. Padding and support around the ankles and reinforced mid- sole gave fantastic trusting stability yet the shoe was surprisingly flexible and still felt lightweight at the end of a long day of playing. These court shoes run narrow, I do not have narrow feet. I needed them for a tournament and had no time to exchange for wide, so I decided to wear them anyway and deal with them being tighter than optimal. They were comfortable anyway. I chose thin socks and have worn them to play pickle ball twice without a problem. I love how the look too. If I were to order them again, I would probably order the wide so I could wear my normal socks, but I think once they are really broken in, they will be fine.

These are very good, reliable shoes. My feet feel protected on impact with the ground in my stride for walking, but I wear these generally for playing tennis. I do still play tennis and I feel these are the best shoes for the game. I usually recommend these shoes, when asked for recommendations for the best tennis court shoe. I can move around the court quickly and efficiently, up or down the court or side to side. My feet feel supported. This is, perhaps, my 5th or 6th pair of ASICS. For me, it's ASICS, because foot comfort is important.

Great shoe, it fits really well and Nike seems to have found it's way again by going back to basis. What stops me from giving 5/5 starts is that although it offers an excellent fell and fits like a glove around your foot, I would have liked better support/fit around the ankle( the opening seems to need a bit more cushioning like the Air Max has to offer). Maybe bring back the laces v- shape from older models, it used to offer a bit of a tighter fit. Overall great shoe, I would highly recommend!

Please, Nike product team, if you ’ re reading this. Make this shoe into a BASKETBALL shoe. I ’ ve written this review 3 times but it hasn ’ t shown up- apologies if this is redundant… Great lateral stability but below average energy return when bouncing, sprinting, jumping, etc. all this shoe needs is a full length zoomx midsole or a combination of zoomx and zoom heel/toe pads, softer outsole and a reinforced padded tongue. If done, Nike would have a premier basketball shoe that would rival the GT and Nike signature lines.
