After loads of research trying to find the perfect EDC MT I found it in the Dime. The tool selection is excellent in this size of EDC. Quality is above average and I 'm sure this MT will be in my inventory for generations. I 've never owned a package opener but have to say that after discovering this device on the Dime I can now enjoy birthdays and holidays without the worry of dealing with those pesky plastic packages! I live around citrus farms and the package opener serves as an excellent peeler as well..

Better than the small Swiss Army knife. I use the knife blade most. All blades are adequate... Yes, one is hard to open but I never use it anyway. Just got to remember that the size has its positive as well as negative points. Easy to carry in my pocket. Not too big or bulky. Not an overwhelming blade to use for self defense( ha ha). But usually adequate for most of your needs.

Excellent tool. I have the blackout version. Blades are a little stiff but not that you ca n't safely open them with a fingernail, with use they are getting smoother and easier to open. Scissors are great, package owner is nice and the tweezers are actually nice in a pinch. Bottle opener works well and is great to use to hook to a Key Chain or to run a piece of 550 cord through. The split ring for going on a key chain is weak and really useless. I 'll be buying one for my wife and daughter.

I have owned my Truss for a year now and I use it almost daily, it has always performed when asked to. The blades are easy to maintain sharpness, the pliers are rigid and strong, and the scissors keep impressing me with what they will cut. I personally own three of these. One for my bunker gear, one for my station pants, and one for my EDC. Ive always used Gerber in the past but this is by far the best multi tool ever! The knife is razor sharp( it passed the shave test). Pliers/wire cutters are what would be expected, as well as the other tools. A surprise was the letter/box opener was an outstanding little tool.

I 've had this multitool for 4 months now and it's great. The opening mechanism is so smooth, it's a joy to operate. The lock can be easily operated with one hand and all of the tools can be accessed from the outside. It even comes with a pocket clip which is nice if you do n't want to deal with wearing a sheath on a belt. I hope this model is around for a long time!

Gerber keeps finding ways to improve multitools and driving the cost down. I have owned the original Suspension, so when the NXT came our with a pocket clip, I had to have it. I love the weight feel of this tool. I was surprised there is no stud on the blade for 1 hand opening. The Phillips screwdriver is long like a real screwdriver. The scissors are stubby, but usable. I 'm not fond of the wire spring. The tool feels good in my hand and has the basics. Just what I need. For the money, it's an effective value- priced tool with a real lifetime warranty.

I bought this a few months ago and it works for everything. The alignment of the handles are a bit off, but that has n't inhibited the functionality at all. All the tools work great for all sorts of things. Whether it be small crafts, projects around the house, cutting rope, or misc. hunting activities it has always come in handy. I bought this multitool to replace a worn out ozark trail i had for years. It offers so much more than the ozark trail. A nice pocketable form factor with pocket clip. Spring loaded pliers and for the first time on a multitool I 've owned really good springloaded sizors and so much more. I never leave home without it.

I currently own the Suspension, MP600, as well as a Leatherman Signal. My primary reason for buying the NXT, was I simply wanted an EDC that was functional, and would n't weigh me down. At 6. 7 ounces, this tool weighs 25% less than my Suspension. Two things that I really like about this tool, 1. A longer cross driver that actually looks like a Phillips. 2. The opening in the combo blade that allows for easy deployment. The NXT thoughtfully comes with a pocket/belt clip, which will keep Gerber fans from complaining about their poorly made sheaths. This is a medium duty tool, after putting it through the paces, I am completely satisfied. One last pleasant surprise, this tool opens and closes, as if already broken in. Five stars Gerber, great design. I also thank you for keeping your sheath.

I watched lots of videos, and read lots of reviews. I 'm no expert by any definition in the area of multitools. Mine arrived nicely boxed, and I was pleased with the heft and feel of the tool in my hand. Edged tools came razor sharp. Easy to open and close tools. The fine, needle- nosed pincers are my favorite tool- teeth fit together perfectly. Bits are all appropriate, although I may swap out a few- easy to do with the millions of available bits in that size. Nice sheath, belt loop, attachment points. I really like the stonewash finish. No aspect disappointing. Maybe there are better/worse tools( all subjective), but you wo n't be second- guessing yourself if you buy this SOG beauty!
