Got this rod on sale around Christmas. Have been fishing with it a number times and think it's great. Ordered it online and it was shipped directly from Lew's perfectly wrapped. Caught a number of small bass but some medium sized ones but also a monster that had to weigh more than 8 lbs. It has handled everything perfectly and the rod is still perfectly straight. The rod is light and my hand or arm do not get tired at all. Check it out, you 'll lke it.

I love almost everything about the rod. I bought the 6, 6 medium 2 peice. It's light weight, and very sensitive, I feel every bite! The only down side I have to the rod is the bait holder hook on the rod is right under your hand, which is a terrible spot if using treble hooks, or any hooks for that matter. Other then that, it's a great rod for bass fishing!

I have all four of the Dobyns Kaden Series spinning rods( xtra L, L, ML, M). This review is for the 7 ’ “ extra light ” trout/panfish model. Prior to purchase, I assumed “ extra light ” was somewhere between ultra light and light powered, based on the recommended line and lure weight for this rod compared to other Dobyns rods in their other series. I was a little concerned it would be too whippy, as many 7 ’ ultra lights can be. I would say that the Kaden series spinning rods, in general, have a bit more backbone than your typical spinning rods and the “ extra light ” is no exception. This rod is not a noodle, It has a nice fast tapered tip that will easily detect subtle hits from small sunfish and trout, and finesse fishing for bass. The rod will easily handle most bass, unless you are fishing in heavy vegetation. The unique action and power of this rod make this an excellent multi species rod. The rod has a high quality, comfortable, split cork grip with hook keeper below the handle. The rod blank is a clean, matte black finish and has 10 quality guides. The rod is a true fast action taper and it ’s power exceeds the “ extra light ” rating it ’s given. I ’ d recommend this rod to a friend and would purchase again myself. Given that I have all four of the Dobyns Kaden spinning rods, but had to only keep two of them, I ’ d probably pick the “ extra light ”( trout/panfish) and the M power and be able to catch just about anything I fish for.

Catch and Release
The Dobyns Kaden Light Power, Fast Action rod has has a quick taper at the tip and more backbone than typical `` light power '' rods making it a great choice for large panfish, trout, and bass when throwing 1/8- 3/8 oz. lures. The rod is very sensitive and capable of detecting subtle bites and underwater structure. The rod quality and finish are excellent. The rod blank is finished with Sea Guide's XO guides, Fuji reel seat, contoured split grip cork handle, and the blank is a clean black matte finish that easily matches all reel colors.

I own a lot of high end rods, and these Duckett rods are great. I am not sure what the other guy did to break one, but I have hooked some HUGE fish and had zero problems. Micro guides give you an extreme sensitivity and longest casting distance of any rod I own. My favorite set up is this rod in Medium Heavy with Abu Revo Rocket reel.

I read some reviews on Duckett's line of casting& spinning rods and decided to give the Micro Magic casting rod a try, primarily because of the great sale price at Dick's. In a word, it's OK. Alot of complaints about the eyes not holding up but I have n't had any issues yet. It's rated a little soft and found the medium closer to a med light, so I returned it and got a med heavy 7'... much better. Have n't used it that long, but so far so good. Worth the sale price for sure.

I ’ ve owned this rod for about a year now and can whole heartedly sing it praises. I ’ m a AVID kayak pan fisherman. I ’ ve had this rod back in the skinny water catching bluegill, to white bass in rivers all the way to brackish gulf water catching flounder to test its metal. It passed all with flying colors. Section held together very well, eyelets are ceramic and kept the 10lb braid in good shape. Plenty of backbone for finessing bigger fish, just use a quality reel with good drag. My only suggestion for St Croix….. add an extra piece and make it 8 ’. This would be a perfect travel fresh water rod.

Cork fishing rod grips are handles made from natural cork material, known for their lightweight and comfortable feel. They provide excellent grip, even when wet, making them a favorite among anglers. Additionally, cork is durable and can absorb vibrations, enhancing the overall fishing experience.
Cork grips are often compared to rubber and EVA foam handles. While rubber and foam can provide good grip and comfort, cork is favored for its natural feel and aesthetic appeal. Cork also tends to be more lightweight, which can contribute to a better balance in the rod.
When selecting cork fishing rod grips, consider the grip size and shape that feels comfortable in your hand. Additionally, think about the type of fishing you'll be doing, as different styles may benefit from specific grip designs. Lastly, assess the quality of the cork, as higher-grade cork can enhance durability and performance.
Cork fishing rod grips are versatile and can be used for various fishing styles, including freshwater and saltwater fishing. Their lightweight nature and comfortable grip make them suitable for long fishing sessions. However, the choice of grip may also depend on personal preference and the specific fishing technique being employed.
To maintain cork fishing rod grips, it's important to keep them clean and dry after each use. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures, as these can damage the cork. Regularly inspecting the grips for any signs of wear can also help in preserving their condition and functionality.
