I bought these for shin guards for softball( pitcher), after getting drilled in the thigh last season, I know it's matter of time before I take one in the shins. I 'm 5' 10 '' and went the 15 '' guards and they fit quit well. They cover a few inches above the knee and right above the top of my cleats.
