I bought this on a whim just to see if my puppy would even consider swimming with my family, and let me just say it was a success. I have a miniature poodle about 12- 13 pounds and he was a little nervous at first and all it took was a bit of encouragement and he jumped right in. He swam for maybe and hour and an half and he was so upset when I told him it ’s time to dry off. He was soon playing lifeguard and attempted to save us all when we were diving underwater. The vest itself is well made and I like the additional neck and stomach support it has.

[ I 've tried several different brands of life vests for dogs, and while this is pricey, it's the best there is. It's sleek, streamlined, unencumbering, making movement for my dogs as uninhibited it can be. I love that the bottom is well fitted, no loose straps( straps are securely velcroed) no loose flaps that just drags in water. It's just well made and well designed.
