[ I love this sleeping bag! I typically go camping more casually, as in not backpacking for multiple days, etc., so keep that in mind when considering my opinion. The sleeping bag is lightweight yet warm. I ’ m glad it unzips on either side and includes various snaps and loops for increased functionality. I am an average height female of slim stature but I chose to purchase this version instead of the women ’s version. I haven ’ t compared sizes or other specs, but figured the unisex version was a safer and more flexible bet. I picked the 30 degree sleeping bag again for flexibility. I ’ ll be able to layer within the sleeping bag if I happen to camp in colder weather. I love the vented storage bag( as pictured). Not all sleeping bag storage bags are vented and that ’s a big positive for me.

I used the Marmot Wraptor 30 Down sleeping bag on a Grand Canyon trip, and it exceeded my expectations. The material feels soft, the down is plush, and overall the bag is incredibly comfortable. It comes with both a storage bag and a stuff sack, but I skipped the stuff sack and packed it loosely in the bottom of my backpack. It compressed and filled the empty space perfectly. This bag has the cozy feel of a quilt with the shape and function of a mummy bag. It was effortless to open, easy to stick a leg out of, and comfortable to roll around in. The Fidlock magnet impressed me, and even though it has been a while since I used a mummy style hood, I appreciated having my pillow tucked inside and staying put. As for the temperature rating, I never worried about getting cold. Regulating warmth was simple by opening the bag slightly. The lack of loud zippers also kept things peaceful for anyone sleeping nearby. I would absolutely recommend this bag to anyone who isn ’ t fully committed to a quilt yet or who wants a simpler, more versatile sleeping bag. Well done, Marmot. You really nailed it. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I recently had the chance to test the Marmot Wraptor 30° Down Sleeping Bag( green, 30° variant) on a backpacking trip just outside of Boone, and it turned out to be a really solid performer for spring conditions. Conditions& Setup The timing of this trip was ideal for a real test. Overnight temps dropped into the low- to- mid 40s, with some early morning lows flirting with the upper 30s depending on elevation. That ’s right in the bag ’s range, but close enough to its limit to really see how it performs. Warmth& Performance The Wraptor is rated to 30°F, and in real- world use, that felt pretty accurate. I stayed comfortably warm through the night wearing just a base layer, even as temps dipped into the low 40s. It never felt overly hot, but also never had me reaching for extra layers which is exactly what you want in a 3- season bag. The 650- fill down did a great job retaining heat without feeling bulky. It lofted quickly after unpacking and maintained consistent warmth throughout the night, even with some damp early morning air. Honestly, it performed so well it felt like this thing was built to prey on cold nights — couldn ’ t help but think the “ Wraptor ” name was pretty fitting. Design& Comfort( Big Differentiator) The standout feature is the zipper- free design. Instead of a traditional zipper, it uses overlapping flaps with magnetic closures. I was skeptical going in, but this ended up being one of my favorite parts of the bag. • It feels more like sleeping under a blanket than being zipped into a mummy bag • Easy to vent heat without fully opening everything up • No zipper snags or awkward middle- of- the- night adjustments As someone who moves around in their sleep, this made a noticeable difference. I didn ’ t feel restricted, and it was easy to reposition without fighting the bag. Temperature Regulation This is where the Wraptor really stands out. Between the flap system and the ability to vent from the footbox, it ’s easy to dial in comfort. When temps stayed in the mid- 40s, I could open it slightly and stay perfectly comfortable. If it dropped closer to freezing, I ’ d likely fully close it and maybe add a layer, but for spring conditions, it ’s dialed in. Packability& Weight For a down bag, it packs down well into a compression sack and fits easily into a backpacking setup. It strikes a solid balance between weight and comfort — not ultralight, but definitely manageable for multi- day trips. Downsides • The flap system takes a night to get used to if you ’ re coming from a traditional mummy bag • For temps near or below freezing, you ’ ll probably want extra layers or a liner • The magnetic closures worked well, but long- term durability is something to watch Overall Verdict The Marmot Wraptor 30° down bag is a great option for spring through early fall backpacking, especially in the mountains around Boone where temps can vary quite a bit. It delivers reliable warmth, strong comfort, and a unique design that genuinely improves sleep quality outdoors. If you ’ re someone who doesn ’ t love the restrictive feel of traditional sleeping bags but still wants dependable performance, this is absolutely worth considering.

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I tested the Marmot Wraptor sleeping bag over a couple of nights car camping as well as a quick overnight backpacking trip to higher elevation. Overnight temperatures were consistently in the upper 30s, which gave me a good opportunity to evaluate how the bag performs in typical early- season conditions. In terms of warmth, the Wraptor exceeded my expectations. Even in temps in the high 30s, I stayed consistently warm throughout the night without needing to over- layer. I typically use a 15 – 20 degree bag because I prefer to sleep with fewer layers, especially at higher elevations, so I was impressed with how well this 30- degree bag held its own. It retains heat effectively while still allowing for ventilation when needed, which helped regulate temperature as conditions changed overnight. Comfort and fit are standout features. The bag offers noticeably more room than a traditional mummy bag, which made a big difference for me as a side sleeper. I was able to move freely and shift positions throughout the night without feeling restricted. The design hits a nice middle ground between a traditional sleeping bag and a quilt — I ’ ve gone back and forth between both over the past couple of years, and this offers the structure and warmth of a bag with the flexibility and openness of a quilt. One of the most unique aspects of the Wraptor is the zipper- less magnetic closure system. The magnetic snaps make it very easy to get in and out of the bag, especially in the dark, and the slide- in design keeps them securely in place during the night. Unlike some quilt systems I ’ ve used, I didn ’ t have issues with gaps or the closure coming undone unintentionally. The design also makes it easy to adjust ventilation without fully opening the bag, which is a big plus for temperature regulation. I was initially unsure about the pass- through foot opening, but it ended up being one of my favorite features. The layered construction prevents drafts when fully closed, so there ’s no noticeable heat loss, but it also allows you to step out and move around camp without taking the bag off. It ’s a really functional feature for hanging around camp or handling quick tasks while staying warm. From a packability standpoint, the Wraptor compresses well enough for backpacking and is comparable in weight to other bags I own, even some with warmer ratings — though at that point it comes down to small differences in ounces. It strikes a solid balance between warmth and packability for early- season trips. Overall overnight performance was excellent. The bag maintained warmth, allowed for easy movement, and adapted well to different sleeping positions and conditions. I didn ’ t experience any cold spots or discomfort, and the ability to vent or adjust the bag without fully opening it made a noticeable difference. Compared to other sleeping bags I ’ ve used, the Wraptor stands out for its versatility and comfort. It solves some of the common issues I ’ ve had with both traditional mummy bags( too restrictive) and quilts( less secure closure and potential drafts). The Wraptor is a unique and thoughtfully designed sleep system that works especially well for campers and backpackers who value comfort, flexibility, and ease of use. It ’s a great option for early- season backpacking or mixed- use trips where you want something adaptable for both sleeping and hanging around camp. If you tend to sleep cold, you may still prefer a lower temperature rating, but for most moderate conditions, this bag performs very well.

I used the wraptor sleeping bag on two trips totalling 6 nights of use so far( and many more to comes). The first thing I noticed after receiving my package was how light the bag was and the unique stuff sack that came with it. I get easily frustrated when it comes to packing my other branded sleeping bag into it stuffsack so when my boyfriend and I are getting ready for any trip he always takes charge of that task for me. This time around, when we were packing,, but I heard him run down the hall saying “ woahhhhh check this out, this is awesome! ” He came into the room with my sleeping bag stuffed in a pack about half the size of my sleeping bag I usually use. He was so ecstatic about how easy the sack was and has mentioned multiple times wanting to get a stuff sack like this for his bag. I am a sidesleeper( who moves around a lot while I sleep) so most sleeping bags feel extremely restrictive to me. This bag was very spacious and I was able to move around and find a comfortable position to fall asleep in. Due to the fact I move around so much in my sleep, I think I shifted in a position where I created a vent so I was a little bit chiller in this sleeping bag than I was expecting to be. Keep in mind it was the end of March/early April when I went on these two camping trips. So if you run a bit cold I might recommend the 15 temperature rating. Nonetheless, as the weather is warming up here in Washington, this bag will be a staple in my camping trips since it packs up so small and is the most comfortable sleeping bag i ’ ve used. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I recently took the 30 long bag out on a trip along California 395, where temperatures dropped to about 40- 45 degrees. The bag performed fantastically. I kept the inner sleeve unattached but the outer one clipped, which allowed me to easily regulate my temperature by moving the inner layer without risking full air exposure. I would recommend getting in it first while it is light out as having the clips, while intuitive once you get used to it, are completely different from zipper bags. The only minor issue was how far up the bag I had to pull my legs to reach the foot vent, but once they were out, it was amazing — especially in the morning. Overall, I loved using this bag and appreciated how much room it offered, even compared to my spoon shaped bag from another brand. I will definitely be using it on my future solo trips. I was given this to product to demo.

Writing this review from inside the bag. I have used this bag for several types of adventure in a handful of different situations, including colder alpine mornings, casual camping nights, and even just lounging at home. To start with the features: • no zipper: I go into this a lot in the other parts, but the closure is a huge highlight of this bag. It almost feels like a quilt for comfort, but keeps you enclosed more. It vents well, and you can have it set up however you want in terms of how open or closed you want it. I never realized how limiting zippers were until using this, especially when trying to fine- tune temperature in the middle of the night. • Flaps on top: with the magnetic closure, they designed this bag with a top that layers over. You pull the left, then the right to close it. Honestly, this was super helpful for getting out because I could use it like how I wear jackets on cold trips and mountaineering ascents. I could have it fully open when warm, pull one side over to block wind and build some heat, I could pull both sides towards the middle to create a little air vent, or I could pull both sides over and really build the heat. Honestly I loved this feature. Way better than a zipper because instead of just being up or down or partial, I could vent random parts because it wasn ’ t closed tightly unless I buttoned up. It felt way more natural to adjust throughout the night without fully waking up. • foot slide out: sleeping bags with zippers, even double sided so you can zip from top or bottom, do not vent well. You almost have had to have a quilt for good venting. With this bag, it takes 2 seconds to get my feet out of the bag without having to use my hands or disrupt the heat of the rest of my body. Then if I want it out more, I can just slip my legs up and out of the full enclosure. This also gives me more space for my feet because I can keep one down in the slot and have one out the front. It ’s way comfy and I don ’ t have a scratchy zipper rubbing on my legs. One thing I worry about is the stitch seams where you slide your legs out, and also where the top layer comes to the bottom. They seem like they could rip over time, but no problems with it yet. So far it has held up well through repeated use. • waist height button: I found myself using the bag without this button as it made the bag a little wider and overall more comfy. I did appreciate having it though because in colder weather, it kept things together more and made it feel warmer. Maybe placebo, but I appreciated having it, and being able to use it if I wanted. It ’s one of those small features that you don ’ t always need, but are glad is there when conditions change. Moving on to the bag generally as compared to other bags: • I used this bag quite a few times for quite a few activities. From napping in it at home, to cold ascents outside, and longer trips. One specific trip I took this on was summiting a mountain in the Wasatch Range. The temperatures were below 0° at night and we slept on several feet of snow. The bag did its job well and kept me warm through the whole night. One thing that was really nice about this bag compared to literally any other bag was that because there is no zipper and the design is similar to a quilt, it makes it so easy to adjust and move around. It seems so big inside and I can roll around like in a lot regular bed without it getting all twisted. Then when I got cold at night, I could take my feet out of the bag without unzipping at all. • Whether sleeping on my back or side, it was super comfy and nice that I could move around so much. I haven ’ t found a reason to really dislike the bag. The exceptional venting makes it so you can legit sleep in this thing in any temperature down to its lowest rating without feeling trapped or overheating, which is something I ’ ve struggled with in most traditional bags. • Packing it down was crazy easy with the compression sack it came with. When I woke up in the morning, I lightly stuffed it into the sack, then compressed it down and it was super easy, and got so small. For how lofty it is when in use, it gets tiny when in the compression sack. This bag is honestly great for taking out on alpine trips, backpacking in cold weather, or even car camping when the temperature dips. Comfiest I have ever been in a sleeping bag, fell asleep in seconds after getting in.

I 've taken the wraptor 15 out on a couple excursions in different environments and my biggest takeaway has been how comfy it has been, to not just it's space but how you are able to control the temperature comfort with being able to move the flaps if needed! The no zipper configuration was great my only complaint was at night when it was dark the inside snap was somewhat hard to find, an I idea that could help solve this is maybe having a larger different fabric to feel might make finding the snap easier. The warmth and loft was great and did n't get cold even when I took it camping out in the snow. Overall I would definitely recommend this product if you do n't mind giving up a couple ounces of weight while backpacking for extreme comfort and flexibility that you know you 'll get a good nights sleep in, and a great car camping backpack that packs up pretty small!

This bag has been incredible! I love the way it wraps and the ease of opening it and closing it with the magnetic clasp. I have the Wraptor 15 down bag. I 've used this bag on multiple trips and it's performed amazingly! I tend to sleep warm so having the ability to adjust easity without fiddling with a zipper is amazing. You can even poke your feet out the bottom and cool down, or even shuffle to use the bathroom... It's rad! I received the wraptor for free in exchange for my honest review and honestly it amazing. I have raved about this bag to all my family and friends. I 've had Marmot bags in the past but this is the best one i 've used by far!

Just took this sleeping bag on a backpacking trip in Indiana. It got to around 30 degrees since we were in a bit of a cold snap, but the sleeping bag kept me warm! Something I came to really like about this sleeping bag is that it does n't have a zipper for the closure. It has a magnet and two snaps that take the zipper's place. Another thing that makes this sleeping bag stand out is the number of configurations you can make with it since it has no zipper. Typically with all regular sleeping bags, if you 're cold you zip it up more and if you 're hot you unzip it a little. With the Wraptor there are so many more options and it really kept me comfortable the entire night through. As the temperature fell, I could easily adjust the configuration to get back to sleeping. The Wraptor surpassed every expectation I had with its comfort, spacious fit, and warmth. I 'm a side sleeper and this bag works perfectly for me. It's not the most packable since it only has 650fp down( I would love to see an 800 or 850 option), so this might not be the best option for the AT or other thru hikes where space and weight is a big consideration. I mainly use the REI Magma 15 as my down sleeping bag, but I will be using the Wraptor for all my shorter( less than 1 week) backpacking trips and car camping just because of how comfortable it is. For the everyday camper or someone looking for an affordable and extremely comfortable sleeping bag, this bag really takes the cake. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[ The Sea to Summit Basecamp Down Sleeping Bag is like a cozy cocoon for chilly nights under the stars! Its 15°F/- 9°C rating will keep you snug even when the temperatures drop. What's impressive is how it manages to be incredibly warm while also feeling as light as a feather. You definitely won ’ t even notice the weight if you plan on hiking with this! The spacious design, adjustable hood, and draft opening in the bottom are thoughtful touches that promise a comfortable snooze. I ca n't wait to take it out on my summer adventures and experience firsthand how it delivers on warmth, comfort, and lightweight convenience!

[ Wow this sleeping bag is awesome. It is so comfortable. The way the zippers are placed so that you can unzip for ventilation is wonderful. It has plenty of room so that I don ’ t feel constricted. The color is a nice burnt orange.

[ Sea to Summit makes high- quality products and this sleeping bag is no exception. We already have a sleeping bag from this brand, so I didn ’ t have any doubts when ordering this one. It is super lightweight but very warm. All the detailing is precise and crafted perfectly. The sleeping bag is warm and it is very comfortable. The insulation is distributed evenly throughout the bag. it comes in this storage bag, but there ’s also an included attachment to clip it to your backpack. It doesn ’ t take a lot of space, but it can be even packed more tightly.

[ Purchased this bag for shoulder season backpacking in Colorado. I used it for the firsttime last weekend. Night time temps got down to around 28F and this bag kept me toasty and feeling warm all through the night. It is incredibly light weight considering the fill and has a nice feel to the material. The only thing I would change is to have the secondary foot zipper extend further into the foot box area. It does n't expel heat fast enough if you run warm.

[ I went on tour with my band and we didnt always sleep in a hotel. It so so incredibly soft and easy to inflate. Even gave me the best discount they could get since I was a first time customer. Will for sure keep buying.

[ I 've had my Kelty Galactic 30 for 5 years, and just bought a pair for my son and his wife. In my opinion this is the best bang for your buck in a sleeping bag for backpacking or camping. Packs small, lightweight, and reasonable price. It has a lot of loft and is very cozy. I sleep comfortably in it down to 40 degrees and add a liner to get to the mid- 30's, so it serves me well 3 seasons. I 've thrown it in the washer and dryer several times- just shake it out well and it regains its loft. Highly recommended!

Out of the box and to the living room floor it went. I go in, zipped it up, rolled to my side with my knee out and arm above my head. Yep I was in love, and continued to roll around with plenty of room. Greatest thing about getting something new when you have kids, are all their questions that follow! The shape really allows for you to move and get comfy. Built in pillow pocket “ is so cool! ” Said my 6 year old son. The air vents work and aren ’ t a gimmick. My 8 year old Daughter said, “ Daddy, they gave you 2 bags! One to keep it in at home and when you go hiking! ” This bag is quality and can pack small! My kids have already asked for their own for when their Birthdays come. Pillow pocket, air vents, weight, warmth, shape, exterior foot box is durable, plus a home storage bag and compression sack…. This bag is loaded!

Chicken Man
Ive had this bag for about 6 years. Taken it on backpacking trips, and lots of car camping in all weather. One place it shines is its versatility. The heat vents make summer camping tolerable and with some layers I 've slept in sub zero temps many nights. For someone who is constantly rotating throughout the night like a rottisary chicken like me this bag is comfortable and roomy. This is a top notch all around bag, but when you are trying to do everything there are downsides. There are to times I felt like this was not the best bag. Once when backpacking in a absolute downpour for multiple days. Bag was soaked and I spent two nights shivering in the puddle at the bottom of my tent. Besides all the other mistakes i made on that trip a synthetic bag would have been better. The second downfall of this bag I found bike packing where space is a large concern. A quilt is a much better solution for space constraints. Overall I am super happy with this bag and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid all around bag.

I ’ ve only used my new bag a couple nights but so far it ’s been great! It kept me warm and it ’s super comfortable. I absolutely love this sleeping bag. Nemo has changed the game with this one! This sleeping bag will hold up to whatever you put it through. I 've slept in this 7 of the 20 days I 've owned it so far. I went on a short trip with it at first, just testing it out and giving the fit a feel. I can tell that this is going to hold up for many years to come and I know Nemo has mine and their products back the whole way. I also took it on my horse for a 4 day trip out in the back country. I had various weather conditions during this trip- hot, cold, rain, dust, water crossings. The dust wiped away easily. The 8 hour rides on the horse did n't hurt a thing. This bag is EXTREMELY comfortable. I was sleeping in about 30 degrees and I woke up hot sometimes. I was definitely never cold. I love that I was able to roll over from side to side and on my back without worrying about the sleeping bag turning with me. This bag is so spacious. I love the `` gills '' on the top of the sleeping bag. I tend to produce a lot of body heat. Little features like this help separate this bag from the rest of them. I also love that I could zip it to my girlfriend's sleeping bag if I needed to help hers heat up a little bit. I have no desire to own any other sleeping bag on the market.

I bought this in time for my 4 day solo backcountry hunt. Temperatures were projected to be in the mid teens at night, but a cold snap occurred and dropped down to single digits( Fahrenheit). This bag saved my trip. It was so warm that I was able to sleep in my boxers. I 'm 6' 2 '' tall and 230 pounds. The long bag allowed for plenty of space to move freely. My size 14 feet did n't feel cramped in the toe box. Condensation in the morning was easily brushed off with a towel in the morning and the bag always dried quickly. I do n't think the insulation ever got wet. The baffle cinches with an elastic cord and traps in the heat. The gills did a great job of regulating heat. I think it packs down to a reasonable size with the stuff sack, and I think the stuff sack was well- matched. I do n't believe I could have compressed the bag much more. There's a pocket near the zipper, just below the face opening. This fit my Iphone 12 mini, but I do n't think it would fit anything much larger. I have suggestions for the design in the future. Because of the wallet/phone pocket's location, in the morning, it was usually covered with condensation. This made trying to open the pocket only slightly more difficult, but was still annoying to deal with the cold and damp. It's also not accessible unless I were to open the main zipper and let out heat. I 'd prefer a pouch, interior to the bag. This way it's insulated from freezing temperatures. The baffle velcro could be a bit stronger too, or designed to sandwich between flaps for better purchase. But these are very minor issues. What matters most is that the bag is warm, roomy, dry, and of a reasonable weight and pack size. Having this bag has opened up so many more opportunities for cold weather outtings that I can not wait to explore.

I recently purchased the 0 degree bag for a bike- to- ski trip in Iceland, so I needed it to work in a variety of conditions( cold, wet, snowy, windy, you name it), and be versatile enough to pack into panniers, backpacks, and beyond. The bag was perfect and outperformed my expectations. I stayed warm on cold nights and loved the ability to open the gills for added breathability, which was crucial in never feeling too swampy if it was a warm night. I ended up swapping the stock stuff sack for a waterproof compression sack, and it packed down quite small for a 0 degree, fitting well into my panniers and 35L backpack when skiing. I 'm 5' 9 '' and the regular length fit me well- my pillow tucked very nice and snugly into the hood, so sleeping was always quite comfy and cozy. No complaints, issues, etc. Happy customer here!

I used the- 20F Sonic for the first time camping at the trailhead of the Four Pass Loop in Crested Butte CO. It kept me toasty warm and comfortable in the low 30s with both gills open, and I loved that the hood design stayed on my head all night. This bag was so much better than my 15F Riff( which I froze in if the temperature dropped below 45F). I maintain the Nemo sleeping bag warmth ratings are misleading for their Men's bags.

[ This bag has been great! I ’ ve had the chance to use it in 10 degree weather and I ’ m a cold sleeper. I did have thermals on and it kept me comfortable. I wasn ’ t sure how functional the thermo gills would be but they actually do a great job of adjusting the temp in the bag. One thing you might not notice without seeing it in person is that the gills have 2 sets of zippers, one outside the bag and another inside. This helps further with temp control. The foot box kept my feet warm with wool socks on. Last thing I ’ ll say is it ’s nice that it is a bit more spacious. I ’ m a side sleeper and if my pooch is ever with me he can sneak in. Overall, great bag!

Nemo donated a few Coda sleeping bags to our queer outdoor gear library, and we Loooove this sleeping bag! We 're really into the fact that it's not gendered( gendering sleeping bags sure is silly) and love how lightweight the bag is. It's also super cozy. Really solid sleeping bag for 3- season weather and I highly recommend it. I am very satisfied with it for both backpacking and car camping-- the condensed size means that it even fits in my one allotted `` Personal Item '' backpack when I fly. I 've slept into the mid- 30s in it without much issue of getting cold. When it's that cold, I 'll keep my puffy jacket in it both to keep the jacket warm but also add a little more insulation. The vents are a nice touch, especially in the toebox. I 've used it in both high humidity climates and in the desert-- always breaths well and does n't get clammy or damp on the inside. I have a short bag because it's the same as the women's sleeping bags( I did n't like the colors of the women's bags).

[ This sleeping bag is top of the line in camping equipment& sleeping bags! I was so amazed how lightweight this bag is, which makes it perfect for hiking& camping. This bag is made from high quality RDS- certified goose down with a non- PFC Ultra- Dry Down treatment wrapped in extremely breathable 10D fabrics. This is a unisex bag that can be unzipped& used for a quilt. Does have a hoodie cover for your head to keep your head warm as well in up to- 9 degree Fahrenheit weather. I 1000% recommend this product for camping, especially in the cold weather!!

[ This sleeping bag is the nicest one I ’ ve ever seen and will use! It is extremely lightweight but still able to keep you toasty warm. It unzips two different ways so you can roll down the front flap or just unzip one side. It has snaps and bungee cords you can use to help lock in warmth and make sure you are keeping out the cold. The stuffing feels thin but that also helps it to compact and easily put back in the compression bag and storage carrier. This won ’ t add hardly any weight if you are backpacking into your camp. The size is great for one person but there is an option to zip two bags together to share. And I love that there are accessories available to buy separately for it like a pillow and an inflatable pad. Which if you are sleeping on rocky ground, you ’ ll probably want as this doesn ’ t have much “ padding ”. This sleeping bag is warm but breathable and for anyone who camps, this is expensive but definitely worth the quality to have.

[ I was n't sure how this bag would work out, but so far it's super. It really is designed as described. It's quite roomy, allows one to turn and side sleep and is definitely warm enough. They do n't fit as well in my other bags but they are fine in this one.

Great bag! Exactly what I 've been looking for as a tall side sleeper but more importantly as someone who changes sides during the night. Upgraded from a competitor's bag which was catered to side sleepers, but had less insulation on the 'back'. When I would roll in the night the bag would come with me, and would end with the less insulated side covering my backside. Looking forward to using it in much colder weather, but would also give kudos as the overlapping insulation and ability to unzip at the bottom made it comfortable on a milder night in Olympic National Park last weekend. Only critique is that the bag which it comes with does n't have cinch straps. With one I had from Sea to Summit I was able to get it to a much smaller size than the standard pack bag. Would purchase one for this specific bag if it was available.

[ This sleeping bag is the real deal! Let me tell you, I ’ ve put it through the wringer on a bunch of camping trips, and it's come out on top every single time. The durability of this thing is seriously impressive. I ’ ve treated it pretty rough, tossing it around, stuffing it into tight spots, and it still looks and performs like it ’s fresh out of the box. And let's talk about comfort. Oh boy, this bag is next- level cozy. I ’ m talking about sinking into a plush cloud kind of comfort. It ’s like a warm hug after a long day of hiking. I ’ m usually tossing and turning when I ’ m camping, but not with this bad boy. I slept like a log, no kidding. It fit me wonderfully! Now, let ’s get into packability. This is where this bag really shines. I ’ m all about saving space, especially when I ’ m packing for a camping trip. And let me tell you, this bag packs down like a dream. It squishes down nice and small, taking up hardly any room in my pack. It ’s a game- changer for sure. And the insulation? It ’s top- notch. I ’ ve used this bag in all kinds of weather conditions, from chilly nights to downright freezing ones, and it ’s never let me down. I ’ m talking about staying warm and cozy even when the temperature drops below freezing. No need for extra layers or anything like that. Overall, if you ’ re in the market for a sleeping bag that ticks all the boxes, this one ’s a winner. It ’s durable as heck, ridiculously comfortable, packs up like a champ, and keeps you warm when it matters most. Trust me, you won ’ t regret it

I bought this for cold weather camping, obviously. I stayed toasty warm sleeping in 20°.
Duck down sleeping bags are known for their excellent insulation properties, providing warmth without adding excessive weight. The natural down material is highly compressible, allowing for easy packing and transport, making it ideal for camping and backpacking. Additionally, duck down tends to be more affordable compared to goose down, offering a budget-friendly option for outdoor enthusiasts.
When selecting a duck down sleeping bag, consider the temperature rating based on the conditions you expect to encounter. Look for a bag that matches or exceeds the lowest temperatures you plan to camp in, keeping in mind your personal comfort preferences and any additional insulation layers you may use. It's also helpful to check the bag's fill power, as higher fill power generally indicates better insulation efficiency.
Key features to consider when choosing a duck down sleeping bag include the fill power, weight, and packability. Additionally, look for features like draft collars, hoods, and zippers that enhance warmth and comfort. Water-resistant or treated down can also be beneficial for moisture-prone environments, ensuring that the bag retains its insulating properties even in damp conditions.
Duck down sleeping bags can be suitable for various seasons, but their effectiveness largely depends on the temperature rating and design. For summer camping, lightweight and lower-temperature-rated bags are ideal, while colder seasons may require bags with higher insulation and features to retain warmth. Always consider the specific conditions and your personal comfort needs when selecting a sleeping bag for seasonal use.
Duck down sleeping bags generally offer superior warmth-to-weight ratios compared to synthetic options, making them lighter and more compressible. However, synthetic sleeping bags tend to perform better in wet conditions, as they retain insulation properties when damp. Ultimately, the choice between duck down and synthetic sleeping bags depends on your specific needs, such as weight, packability, and the expected weather conditions.
