This is the 5th Trestles I 've bought for my family. It's just the right compromise on weight, warmth, and cost for high alpine trips into the Beartooth Mountains. All of them have been used in expedition weight tents, so they have been easily warm enough. This year I bought a Marmot Force ultralight backpacking tent and put my Trestles to the test of its limits. It performed admirably even with the drafty nature of ultralight tents. We had a couple of windy nights down into the 30's, which get a laugh from expedition weight 4- season tents, but I mummy'ed up in my Trestles 15 and was amazed at the comfort, roominess, and functionality!! I would n't still be buying them and on number 5 if it were n't for the great performance.

GREAT bag. I 've had for nearly two years now and still like new. I 've use it with my ultralight three season tent in- 20 and- 10 truly testing the limits but always feel warm and cozy. My only issue is it does n't pack as small as I 'd like for multiday trips, but purchasing a compression bag helps. Overall, beyond amazing for the price.

Bought this just before a trip out to Washington in the fall. I am 5 ’ 6 ” and 120L and had no issues with being cold in temps around 35- 40°. Also the bag was plenty long for me with still about 2- 3 ” of room to spare( I bought the regular length bag). I did try this bag out when the temp was right around 30° and did get a little chilly( could have probably been fixed if I had a liner to go with the bag). I do wish it could compress just a little more but it does have a nice compression bag that comes with it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a cooler weather bag for a good value!!

[ Purchased this bag for shoulder season backpacking in Colorado. I used it for the firsttime last weekend. Night time temps got down to around 28F and this bag kept me toasty and feeling warm all through the night. It is incredibly light weight considering the fill and has a nice feel to the material. The only thing I would change is to have the secondary foot zipper extend further into the foot box area. It does n't expel heat fast enough if you run warm.

[ I bought this sleeping bag a little over a month ago and have used it on two camping trips so far. I am not normally a fan of mummy bags, but this one I love. It has extra padding in the foot box and i love how the top keeps my pillow in place. Only downside is I wish it packed down smaller, but for a non down sleeping bag theres not a way to do that without compromising temp rating. I normally roll my sleeping bags and stick them into their stuff sack. This one i found works best if you stuff it head first into the stuff sack it comes in and then sinch it down smaller. I am 5' 7 1/2 '' and fit in the long perfectly with plenty of room to spare.

I bought this sleeping bag for warmer weather where my 10 degree bag would be too uncomfortable. I figured to test the bag to its rating to get an idea of its performance. Weather said low for the night would be 45, so perfect time to test. I used this in a Kelty Tanglewood 2, with an Extremus( R- value 3. 0) sleeping pad and a very thin ozark trail sleeping bag liner. Had lightweight nylon pants and a lightweight sweatshirt on. The temperature got down to 37 and I was not cold, not super warm but with the shoulder draw string tightened up I was comfortable. I would n't take it much colder than that. I sleep a little on the warm side so that may have helped, but to me the sleeping bag lives up to the rating.

[ This sleeping bag is the nicest one I ’ ve ever seen and will use! It is extremely lightweight but still able to keep you toasty warm. It unzips two different ways so you can roll down the front flap or just unzip one side. It has snaps and bungee cords you can use to help lock in warmth and make sure you are keeping out the cold. The stuffing feels thin but that also helps it to compact and easily put back in the compression bag and storage carrier. This won ’ t add hardly any weight if you are backpacking into your camp. The size is great for one person but there is an option to zip two bags together to share. And I love that there are accessories available to buy separately for it like a pillow and an inflatable pad. Which if you are sleeping on rocky ground, you ’ ll probably want as this doesn ’ t have much “ padding ”. This sleeping bag is warm but breathable and for anyone who camps, this is expensive but definitely worth the quality to have.

[ This sleeping bag liner packs up very small and is convenient to carry around. It is very lightweight and breathable but the material feels high quality. I did n't have any issue washing it. On its own it is not very warm, which is actually preferable here in a warmer climate, but it would definitely help to insulate in combination with a sleeping bag.

Would probably be too tight if I was wearing boots, helmet, etc. and wanted everything covered/zipped. I bought this in time for my 4 day solo backcountry hunt. Temperatures were projected to be in the mid teens at night, but a cold snap occurred and dropped down to single digits( Fahrenheit). This bag saved my trip. It was so warm that I was able to sleep in my boxers. I 'm 6' 2 '' tall and 230 pounds. The long bag allowed for plenty of space to move freely. My size 14 feet did n't feel cramped in the toe box. Condensation in the morning was easily brushed off with a towel in the morning and the bag always dried quickly. I do n't think the insulation ever got wet. The baffle cinches with an elastic cord and traps in the heat. The gills did a great job of regulating heat. I think it packs down to a reasonable size with the stuff sack, and I think the stuff sack was well- matched. I do n't believe I could have compressed the bag much more. There's a pocket near the zipper, just below the face opening. This fit my Iphone 12 mini, but I do n't think it would fit anything much larger. I have suggestions for the design in the future. Because of the wallet/phone pocket's location, in the morning, it was usually covered with condensation. This made trying to open the pocket only slightly more difficult, but was still annoying to deal with the cold and damp. It's also not accessible unless I were to open the main zipper and let out heat. I 'd prefer a pouch, interior to the bag. This way it's insulated from freezing temperatures. The baffle velcro could be a bit stronger too, or designed to sandwich between flaps for better purchase. But these are very minor issues. What matters most is that the bag is warm, roomy, dry, and of a reasonable weight and pack size. Having this bag has opened up so many more opportunities for cold weather outtings that I can not wait to explore.

I recently purchased the 0 degree bag for a bike- to- ski trip in Iceland, so I needed it to work in a variety of conditions( cold, wet, snowy, windy, you name it), and be versatile enough to pack into panniers, backpacks, and beyond. The bag was perfect and outperformed my expectations. I stayed warm on cold nights and loved the ability to open the gills for added breathability, which was crucial in never feeling too swampy if it was a warm night. I ended up swapping the stock stuff sack for a waterproof compression sack, and it packed down quite small for a 0 degree, fitting well into my panniers and 35L backpack when skiing. I 'm 5' 9 '' and the regular length fit me well- my pillow tucked very nice and snugly into the hood, so sleeping was always quite comfy and cozy. No complaints, issues, etc. Happy customer here!

I used the- 20F Sonic for the first time camping at the trailhead of the Four Pass Loop in Crested Butte CO. It kept me toasty warm and comfortable in the low 30s with both gills open, and I loved that the hood design stayed on my head all night. This bag was so much better than my 15F Riff( which I froze in if the temperature dropped below 45F). I maintain the Nemo sleeping bag warmth ratings are misleading for their Men's bags.

[ This bag has been great! I ’ ve had the chance to use it in 10 degree weather and I ’ m a cold sleeper. I did have thermals on and it kept me comfortable. I wasn ’ t sure how functional the thermo gills would be but they actually do a great job of adjusting the temp in the bag. One thing you might not notice without seeing it in person is that the gills have 2 sets of zippers, one outside the bag and another inside. This helps further with temp control. The foot box kept my feet warm with wool socks on. Last thing I ’ ll say is it ’s nice that it is a bit more spacious. I ’ m a side sleeper and if my pooch is ever with me he can sneak in. I love that there ’s room for me to turn any which way and curl my legs up in this bag, it is much less constricting than a typical mummy bag. I did find that the bag didn ’ t really move with me the way I expected it to for side sleeping, so I found the hood section kind of in my way at some points. It wasn ’ t too cold so I just kept my head out and used that part as a pillow of sorts. I did also notice a bit of shedding of feathers and hope that will remain minimal over time. So far I ’ ve used it for two nights in about 40deg weather and was very warm.

I bought this bag for summer camping in the Colorado high country. I already have a 0 bag from Big Agnes so I needed something that would n't be so warm. I am a side sleeper and this seemed like the perfect bag. It's comfy, I love the fabric and I like the space for my knees when I sleep on my side. I also really love the hood. My only two criticisms are that the bag is a bit tight so I do n't feel like I can really spread out. My knees hit one side while my bottom hits the other. I also like to sleep with something between my knees and there is n't much room for that. My other issue is that when you turn over you either have to flip the entire bag with you or turn the other way so that your knees do n't fit into the shape of the bag. Flipping the entire bag over would be fine if I had a lot of space but when you have your bag on a ground pad and sleeping next to other people you ca n't really roll side to side. This bag is lightweight and silky though.

I 've slept in this 7 of the 20 days I 've owned it so far. I went on a short trip with it at first, just testing it out and giving the fit a feel. I can tell that this is going to hold up for many years to come and I know Nemo has mine and their products back the whole way. I also took it on my horse for a 4 day trip out in the back country. I had various weather conditions during this trip- hot, cold, rain, dust, water crossings. The dust wiped away easily. The 8 hour rides on the horse did n't hurt a thing. This bag is EXTREMELY comfortable. I was sleeping in about 30 degrees and I woke up hot sometimes. I was definitely never cold. I love that I was able to roll over from side to side and on my back without worrying about the sleeping bag turning with me. This bag is so spacious. I love the `` gills '' on the top of the sleeping bag. I tend to produce a lot of body heat. Little features like this help separate this bag from the rest of them. I also love that I could zip it to my girlfriend's sleeping bag if I needed to help hers heat up a little bit. I have no desire to own any other sleeping bag on the market.

I do n't think there's a bad thing I can say about this bag. I 'm 6' 3 215LB. Absolutely no discomfort in the recommended sleeping temperatures. I will re- update if I do get bag into anything more than- 4. It is definitely long enough with extra room to throw clothes you want to keep warm for the next day. I have this paired with the Quasar 3D sleeping pad and is perfect as well

Greatest thing about getting something new when you have kids, are all their questions that follow! The shape really allows for you to move and get comfy. Built in pillow pocket “ is so cool! ” Said my 6 year old son. The air vents work and aren ’ t a gimmick. My 8 year old Daughter said, “ Daddy, they gave you 2 bags! One to keep it in at home and when you go hiking! ” This bag is quality and can pack small! My kids have already asked for their own for when their Birthdays come. Ive had this bag for about 6 years. Taken it on backpacking trips, and lots of car camping in all weather. One place it shines is its versatility. The heat vents make summer camping tolerable and with some layers I 've slept in sub zero temps many nights. For someone who is constantly rotating throughout the night like a rottisary chicken like me this bag is comfortable and roomy. This is a top notch all around bag, but when you are trying to do everything there are downsides. There are to times I felt like this was not the best bag. Once when backpacking in a absolute downpour for multiple days. Bag was soaked and I spent two nights shivering in the puddle at the bottom of my tent. Besides all the other mistakes i made on that trip a synthetic bag would have been better. The second downfall of this bag I found bike packing where space is a large concern. A quilt is a much better solution for space constraints. Overall I am super happy with this bag and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid all around bag.

Nemo donated a few Coda sleeping bags to our queer outdoor gear library, and we Loooove this sleeping bag! We 're really into the fact that it's not gendered( gendering sleeping bags sure is silly) and love how lightweight the bag is. It's also super cozy. The only issue we have is that the footbox does n't fully unzip, but it's definitely not a dealbreaker. Highly recommend this product and the others in the Coda line!

Really solid sleeping bag for 3- season weather and I highly recommend it. I am very satisfied with it for both backpacking and car camping-- the condensed size means that it even fits in my one allotted `` Personal Item '' backpack when I fly. I 've slept into the mid- 30s in it without much issue of getting cold. When it's that cold, I 'll keep my puffy jacket in it both to keep the jacket warm but also add a little more insulation. The vents are a nice touch, especially in the toebox. I 've used it in both high humidity climates and in the desert-- always breaths well and does n't get clammy or damp on the inside. I have a short bag because it's the same as the women's sleeping bags( I did n't like the colors of the women's bags).

Just got this bag and I 'm stoked to be upgrading. the thermal gills work very well, and the full collar is great for keeping drafts of your neck. ca n't describe how much I love the zip at the bottom. The only complaint I have is that the advertised compressed volume differs from reality. I got the Long length and the spec sheet says it should compress to 6L. I was barely able to get it into a 10L stuff sack. Maybe you can get it to 6 with an industrial vacuum chamber, but no chance in the field. Love everything else though!

If you want to a top notch bag this delivers. For a mummy bag, the long fits me really well at 6 ’ 3 with enough shoulder width to be surprisingly comfortable. Excellent build quality. After using Ultralight quilts over the past few years, I love how warm this bag is. There are tons of great features like the zippered foot box and vents which make it suitable for summer use, but the traditional bag design make it very warm to use in the winter as well. I put several hundred miles and many nights of use on this bag in Alaska, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico and it's still going strong! Even with my dogs getting it dirty, it does n't show any signs of breaking down. I also like that it balances weight and performance. This is a solid choice for a versatile, ultralight sleeping bag.

[ This sleeping bag is amazing! It is extremely warm and will keep you toasty on those cold nights outdoors. It fit me perfect with some extra room with a height of 5ft. It is on the larger side and they give a small bag to pack it in which is very difficult to get it in. They also include testing results on the down goose and duck feathers they use to insulate it. Definitely worth the buy!

The Sea to Summit Spark sleeping bag is a lightweight and compact sleeping bag that would be perfect for backpacking because it is so light. It has down insulation for warmth. I like that it has a hood it makes me feel covered really well. When I tried it out it wasn ’ t very cold but after a few minutes I was sweating so I could see how this would be great in very cold conditions.
