After a YouTube video and reading instructions I was on to sharpening two of my pocket knives with ease. Will need to practice more for sure, but I was able to get a super sharp edge at least at some parts of the knife. It does a good job on mostly deer hunting knifes( from old carbon steel to new stainless steel). However with a few minutes I was already getting really good results with this. Now it's early so I 'm still in the break- in phase. But so far I really like it. If you take your time and follow the direction you 'll be cutting meat, or your fingers in no time!

I like the tool it does do what it advertises, I would like to see a better selection of belts it goes from fine to extra supuer fine or extra course. I think that it hard to tell if there is much of a difference when going from 220 grit to 6000 ther needs to be some inbetween grits.

Turns out the bears enjoy when we cook outdoors, too. The set is really well- made, with nice heavy heaviness to them, sharp blades. The meat fork thing could be a bit longer in my opinon, but the tongs are nice and will keep your hands out of the fire. The leather case is nice and thick-- you do n't have to worry about getting poked with any of the pointy things in there. They also are really nice- looking, which is a plus!
