The diamond plates cut through a damaged edge so quick you want to take your most damaged knife and make it a razor. The ceramic rod and leather strap make for a edge that will shave. You can change a edge profile so easy with this small compact setup like no other sharpener I 've ever used. Worth every penny if you ask me.

It does a good job on mostly deer hunting knifes( from old carbon steel to new stainless steel). After a YouTube video and reading instructions I was on to sharpening two of my pocket knives with ease. Will need to practice more for sure, but I was able to get a super sharp edge at least at some parts of the knife. Depending on the surface it may not stay still and move depending on the amount of pressure you use, but this is likely an easy fix.

However with a few minutes I was already getting really good results with this. Now it's early so I 'm still in the break- in phase. But so far I really like it. If you take your time and follow the direction you 'll be cutting meat, or your fingers in no time!

I like the tool it does do what it advertises, I would like to see a better selection of belts it goes from fine to extra supuer fine or extra course. I think that it hard to tell if there is much of a difference when going from 220 grit to 6000 ther needs to be some inbetween grits.
