I have a larger sharpening stone& strop that I left behind on a visit to my in laws. In the past I ’ d take that to sharpen their knives. Honestly this little tool did the job for much less cost and I showed my 95 year old MIL how to use it. I will still sharpen her knives but won ’ t need to bring my larger kit.

After a YouTube video and reading instructions I was on to sharpening two of my pocket knives with ease. Will need to practice more for sure, but I was able to get a super sharp edge at least at some parts of the knife. Depending on the surface it may not stay still and move depending on the amount of pressure you use, but this is likely an easy fix.

This product has it all. It has two flat diamond plates for putting the edge on your knife and then a Ceramic rod type sharpener with different degrees of course to fine to finish the blade. Then you can finish it off with a leather side to take the burrs off and finish the blade to a razor finish. This tool is one to have in your pack, toolbox, glove box or the kitchen drawer.

The first knife I sharpened was the only one I had a problem getting sharp before I had the worksharp and that's my USMC KaBar. It's razor sharp now. The knife I use at work every day was chipped and dull. The worksharp brought it right back no problem. The worksharp field sharpener should in everyone's pack or tackle box! Awesome!

[ Have n't yet come across anything the scissors would n't cut. As others have said, I wish the bulk of the tools were accessible when closed. All around quality though and I would recommend it to anyone needing this selection of tools

[ I have this tool for a couple weeks now and it really comes in handy. Siccors instead of pliers makes sense for me working in an office setting. It ’s built well and small enough to fit in your change pocket. I took one star off because you have to unfold it to access the supplemental tools inside; they should be on the outside for quick access.

In just a few weeks, I 've already had opportunity to use the chain tool, spoke wrench, and several of the allen keys. ... I like the idea of a small light weight tool for quick trail

[ During my first ride on an MTB trail I managed to break my chain. It did n't occur to me to bring tools with me, so I had to walk the trail back to my car. So I purchased the Topeak Mini P20 to toss in my frame bag. It's compact enough that it does n't take up a lot of space, and the neoprene pouch is great. It keeps it from scratching my phone which I sometimes also carry in the bag. In just a few weeks, I 've already had opportunity to use the chain tool, spoke wrench, and several of the allen keys. The chain tool is a bit tough to use because leverage is limited. Overall it feels solid and nicely made. Note that the Mini P20 PRO is a different tool, with a couple of functions not on the Mini P20.

[ Just what I need for mountain bike rides. Tool is small but has everything I might need on a ride. I like the idea of a small light weight tool for quick trail repairs. Wo n't leave home without it.

When selecting a knife maintenance tool, consider features such as the sharpening mechanism, portability, and ease of use. A good tool should provide a consistent edge without damaging the blade. Additionally, look for tools that can accommodate various blade types and sizes to ensure versatility.
The frequency of using a knife maintenance tool depends on how often you use your knives and the types of materials you cut. For regular use, it is advisable to sharpen your knives every few weeks or as needed. Keeping your knives well-maintained not only enhances their performance but also extends their lifespan.
Knife maintenance tools are typically made from durable materials such as ceramic, diamond, or stainless steel. Each material offers different benefits; for example, diamond sharpeners are effective for quick sharpening, while ceramic options provide a fine edge. It's important to choose a tool that matches your specific sharpening needs.
While many knife maintenance tools are designed to work with a variety of knives, some may be better suited for specific types, such as folding knives or fixed blades. Always check the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure compatibility with your knife type. Using the right tool will help maintain the integrity of the blade.
Manual knife maintenance tools require physical effort to sharpen the blade, allowing for greater control and precision. In contrast, electric tools offer convenience and speed, making them ideal for frequent use. The choice between the two often depends on personal preference and the level of sharpening expertise.
