6 months of hard non- stop use. Own two sets, mine and my 12 year old son. I am a knife thrower( not professional) and I 'm finally happy with a production knife. Very well balanced, good weight ratio for length. The length is perfect and is now allowed in most knife competitions. Shape and cut out is perfect for many different types of throws. Comes factory sharp. Had students for 9 weeks use these knives and had no issues. No issues with breakage at all, not even a tip. Paracord can easy be heated at the roll under part to keep from coming off. Did this to all knives and no issues. Rolled edge, yes but only when throwing and stacking the blades. However we use a 3 target system so this is a non- factor. FYI, have over 400 hours on one set of knives

This is one of my favorite knives, starting back when the handle cutout said `` SOG ''. But to be honest my reason for liking them is as a multi use tool and not a strict throwing knife. I have 4 sets. I have one on a vest set up. I keep one in the car. I keep one in the safe, it is new and just waiting to be purposed. The other I have split up the set on have them on/in various running, hiking, fishing packs. It's a knife you could use for utility purposes, as a spear tip, as a defense weapon, and heaven forbid the need arose you could throw it. I only wish they made a kydex type, multi- carry/active sheath for it as the set I broke up I 'm just using repurposed sheaths from other knives. For those who say they do n't like them breaking when they throw them I merely say practice. Hint: set up multiple targets instead of one. It makes for better play. Throwing is n't necessarily the skill where you need spectators cheering `` nice grouping ''.

These throwing knives are awesome the size of regular edc knives come very sharp and i was impressed with how balanced they are. If you like throwing knives i recommend these for the fact they are normal sized and very durable. The only thing i didnt like was the handles are wraped with paracord and it comes loose very fast. To fix the paracord i just rewrapped and put a good knot at the end and burnt it with my lighter problem fixed hasnt come loose so far.

After some use, this new Made in the USA gerber blade performs well. I used it while camping and it did great for al, the tasks I asked of it. It carved sticks, created kindling and fuzz sticks for a fire, sparked a ferro rod, cut rope, and sliced up our meat for supper. The sheath is well thought out and allows for multiple carry options. The handle fit my hand well and was very grippy in all conditions. I ordered a fine edge from an Internet site, and received a serrated in the box. Gerber's customer service was awesome, and quickly replaced it with the fine edge version that was supposed to be in the box.

Back in my Active Duty days, I carried a Gerber Mark2 in my ruck. So Brand Loyalty is key here, I 'm not a full on Gerber Fanboy, but their designs and innovations speak to this former Grunt, and now retired but still running Precision Rifle matches. My EDC was the Gerber LST( light and SS for corrosion concerns). My current EDC is the Gerber Swagger. I sprung for this StongArm because I found the Prodigy and LMF and Infantry knives/sheaths a bit on the heavy side. Enter 2015 and the StongArm.... What can I say that has not been said. Great for BOB knife, SHTF, Zombie Apocalypse and plain old GTFO/ Get Home bag. I 'm no longer wearing a plate carrier so a simple FLC with MOLLE will see this knife. My Maxpedition bags all have MOLLE so this GTFO/SHTF knife mounts with amazing flexibility. And for my 2017 Taco truck the BG Ultimate Pro will reside in the cubby. This StrongArm will always reside in my GTFO gear, though. I do have an axe for the truck so I 'm not concerned about chopping, but I 'm super pleased to know from the YouTube reviews, that these knives can hold their own. It ’s light, handy, and the grip of the knife is very comfortable, even with the slim minimalist scales. I love the blade profile, and the knife is the perfect length as something between a pocket folder and a full- blown hunting/survival knife. I like the sheath, but I think the universal clip is a bit finicky, and doesn ’ t grip the belt well. I think a utiliclip might have been a better choice. I bought this knife maybe 2 months ago for my ruck pack after seeing it on sale at a Dicks Sporting Goods store. I thought eh, has a good edge and will make a great extra knife. BOY OH BOY!!! When i took it on my camping trip, this knife performed and withstood all I tossed at it. I literally used the knife to shave logs and make wood chips for fire. When I got the fire up and decided I needed medium pieces of wood; I was able to split the logs down the middle using only this knife and another log to hammer it through! The blade never dulled or bent. This knife is a monster. Totally recommended it for any one asking should they buy it as a main or an extra. And the company is great. I bought this knife a couple of weeks ago alongside the Pentagon. During the recent winter storms I ended up trapped with ice all over my car and had nothing but my SEAL Pup to scrape 1/2 '' thick ice off my windshield, mirrors, and rear window. When I got back home, I checked the edge expecting it to be chipped, rolled, or dulled. Amazingly, the knife is still shaving sharp, just like when I took it out of the box. Many thanks to SOG!

I just put the SOG Jungle Primitive to a brief initial test. Results were good. I chopped a six inch log in half in about 30 seconds. Then I shaved some kindling and tinder. I finished up by using the knife with a fire steel to start a quick fire. No hotspots on hands nice handle grip. Very sharp blade. I 'm a satisfied customer!

I bought these a while ago off amazon and they are really nice. They come very sharp. Unfortunately they were so sharp i sliced a decent size slit in the holster the first time I put them away. Would love to be able to buy a replacement holster but oh well. A great product!
