So for years, I have struggled with keeping a 3w in the bag for many reasons. The most glaring reason is that I have difficulty launching the ball off the fairway. This would cause me to try and manipulate my swing to assist in adding launch, which then left me creating poor turf interaction. Enter the Elyte X 3w into the chat. This club has changed how I viewed the top of my bag right from the start. Immediately those days of being left without confidence when approached with a long fairway shot that required a fairway wood is no more. While not the biggest fairway wood in the Elyte Line, this is certainly the longest hitting. Deceptively long to a point that I found myself 15+ yards beyond where I usually hit my 3- woods. For it's size, the 3 wood is forgiving than advertised. And being a Callaway fairway wood, it is also easy to launch the ball off the deck. I have never had a club I can just line up and have confidence it will do what I ask. First time I hit on a course during a practice round, I dropped two balls and hit both with the new 5 wood- they ended up 4' from each other in the middle of the fairway. As someone with a fade/slice bias I can honestly say the SFT version helps close the face significantly. These are terrific, I especially like the 3 wood which is easy to hit as opposed to friends of mine who say over and again how much they struggle with a 3 wood. Our course is long and I tease that I 'm going to put a hole in my 3 wood because it is my go- to club. It feels effortless, and at least for me, Mavrik Driver, 3, 5, 7, woods have just the right balance and weight. I 'm 5' 2 '' tall and have a small frame. I purchased the Maverick 5 wood and this is by far the best golf club purchase I have ever made! When I hit this club squarely it beats my Callaway Epic Max Driver easily by 50- 75 yard ’s off the tee. However this club has been a game changer for me just using it on the fairway. It is so easy to hit long and straight that I find I am left with either a short chip or I am putting for a birdie on most every hole. I love this Maverick Max 5 wood! Too bad Callaway discontinued the line.

I bought a Stealth 2 HD in a 5 wood over winter here in Indiana. Torn hamstring kept off the course till late fall last year so naturally I was looking at clubs and from research I went with this TM. Break in the weather so on my birthday two buddies came along and I put it in the bag with zero practice. Ist shot on long par 5 and it went straight and slightly longer than it's predecessor which was a TE. I was using it on most holes as I 'm a senior golfer not carrying a 3w or 4w and I had confidence in it before the turn. I am impressed and I 've been around this game since the 80's and not including last year, average a 12hdc on my home course. I have n't played with TM since like forever but this was built with all the tech and design considerations to do as it claims. Yea it ai n't 'cheap' but one can find them used, floor samples, demo's and trade in your club(s) and get and instant upgrade. BTW it carries a VG trade in value so if it's not for you you wo n't lose your shirt or skirt.

It ’s been the perfect number between the two and so much better than I could have ever asked for out of a 3 or 4 iron. Decided to try the 9 wood out after the success with 7 wood and the 9 has been absolutely heavenly. It is such a dream I ’ ve replaced my 5 iron with it and won ’ t ever look back.
