My kids last Christmas had given me a pair of air Force 1 sneakers. They just seemed to hard& what I thought like crunchy feeling! I 'm 46& have a wide foot& need comfort!! I had tried on a low high top blazer first& saw these on a clearance shelf without a box and tried them on& that was it I was sold! The leather is so soft the platform adds so much more padding then the low ones& I just throw them in the washer with laces& they come out brand new after! The only thing is they take alot longer to dry so I use a boot dryer and I 'll leave them over nite on that& by am they 're dry! I 'm around a size 8. 5 /9 because of my wide foot. These are a size 8& there was only one pair available at the store so I was thankful they fit but was nervous they may need to stretch out or cause discomfort while breaking them in but it was never necessary! I tie the laces and put the tongue over the laces so I can just slip my foot into my sneakers. A year later the back ankle part is n't as strong as it was new because I slip my foot in but I just wiggle it in& my foot is secured& does n't slip out! I agree with many many others whom are n't a fan of the exposed foam tongue on these sneakers but honestly I do n't even notice it anymore! They 're are a beautiful made sneaker with beautiful soft flexible leather in my opinion far superior to the air Force 1's including the specialty air Forces they make I 've bought my 21 year old daughter 2 pairs in the past 2 years both different specialty ones& they have split wide open on sides mean Walmart sneakers would last longer& my 17 year old son has had his high top low blazers for a year& half& he throws them in the wash& they 're new again!! I 'm shocked at the lack of quality of the air Force 1 sneakers especially at their price& being considered a collectible sneaker the last pair I got my daughter started splitting open in different areas within 5 months of receiving them!! That's uncalled for!! So these put those to shame both in quality& comfort!!! I got white with periwinkle swooshes want the white& pink next since I 've warn mine daily for just about a year!

These shoes are super cute& trendy! I spent 10 days walking roughly 20, 000 steps per day in Europe with these- including a 6 mile hike& climbing multiple historic towers. My feet were never uncomfortable, I felt the shoes were breathable and sturdy/stable. There was less rain than anticipated but when it rained or there were puddles, my feet and shoes stayed totally dry. My only complaint is they did scuff/dirty and though they ’ re easily cleanable, the suede detail has remained grey after antibacterial wipes. I will try a more aggressive cleaning method though. As always, I size up by 0. 5 because all my Soren ’s run small.
