If those handles come off you either got to be chewing on them in your sleep or someones messing with your equipment. These types of handles do n't just slip on and off easy. I used to run a lot when I was younger just getting out of college, but then I stopped a little because my legs would get sore easy. I started reading up on jumping rope as a comparative exercise that has the same, if not better, benefits as running in less time. I saw a some other jump ropes that were somewhat bland and cheap looking, and then came across the weighted rope. It's been working like a charm. It is a little tangly/tight initially because of the material, but after a couple uses, it's fine. I sweat a lot when I workout, so my hands sometimes get slick and the handles could use a little more grip. Hopefully once my body gets more acclimated, it wo n't be an issue.

Fantastic rope and durability. I buy new rope every year and this one has not disappointed. I went with the larger 9. 8 vs 9. 5 and it ’s great for Trad days and normal wear and tear. If you are heavy and belayer a lighter individual just need to ensure they are really good with catches. The 9. 8 has a little less elasticity than the smaller ropes and could create harder catches. But no issues with good belayers knowing how to catch. Rope has stayed cleaner then other classic crag ropes and doesn ’ t seem to collect dirt as easily. Overall would recommend.

I got this as my first rope, and I must say it was the correct decision. I have used it on all my climbing adventures, and I have n't noticed any damage through numerous falls. It's been rubbed up against rocks and has maintained the integrity of it's sheath. It's a rope I found just works with belay devices, and does n't have any of the annoying characteristics of some ropes; it does n't slide through or require excessive weight to let slack out.

5 stars are for a Lifeine Gym version I got in 1983. I still use it as I 'm on SSDI due spondylosis. It fits in the door and the cables allow you to lean at 45 degree angle stretching your shoulder joints and isolating your spinal chord, site of bone spurs. My version allows converts the handles into barbell or stand on the handles and pump the barbell fed cables, twisting for more resistance. [ Took the new rope out for her maiden voyage on a 4 pitch sport climb in Leavenworth and as expected, the bi- pattern feature was a delight for rappelling- being able to find where the middle was, and also pulling the right side of the rope for midway rappel transitions. The rope handled great otherwise. I was worried based on photography that the color of the rope would be too dark and pattern would not be super discernible, but in the bright outdoor light, it's a lot easier to see the difference.

[ I 've used the rope only once but I think I 'm really going to like it. No kinks at all, handled beautifully. A little slick like a snake so it had a tendency to slither away if there was any slope at all when stacking.( Sorry for the alliteration). The color is very nice and half way point is clearly and boldly marked.

[ I bought this rope to use as a cordelette for building anchors at the top of trad climbs. It works really well and has excellent strength rating. I found the rope a little bit stiff when I first got it but it softened up with some usage. BTW I turned this rope into a cordelette by tying the ends together in a double fisherman's. Highly recommend. I would never lead a climb without a rope like this to string up in emergency scenarios.

I bought this about a month ago to use for setting up anchors on trad climbs and for top rope. I had never used Cordelette before, however, I find it extremely easy to equalize with 3 or 4 points. I was a little nervous when I first saw how small this product was, but after setting anchors and climbing on them I am really impressed with it. I would and have already trusted my life to this product. A+.

I got this as a replacement for a sterling nano IX. This rope is quite soft handling and very light. Not the lightest, but pretty close. the middle mark is visible and the dry treatment seems better than sterling.

This rope handles really well immediately. Minimal pigtails and is nice and light to carry in. I bought this rope to replace a 9. 8 and the difference is noticeable. Can not comment on the durability yet, but I have used other Mammut ropes in the past and have never had an issue. Very happy with this purchase and would make it again.

[ You could n't pay me to switch ropes. This is one beautiful, high- quality rope that leaves all the climbers that have seen it in awe. I bought this rope because it was one of the highest recommended ropes on the internet. I have been out at the New River Gorge in West Virginia with it and it performed amazing. It is a 9. 5mm so it fits perfectly within the three star rating for the GriGri 2 and the GriGri+. This rope feeds SMOOTH. I use the GriGri+ and man, I have had so many people comment about how great the rope feeds through the belay devices. It gives the perfect amount of smooth without sacrificing safety. I gave the 4 stars on durability because I have n't had the rope for long so I just do n't know it's durability. It also is a bit smaller so naturally there will be more wear, quicker on the rope. I will say there is a little bit of a marketing error. The gold rope color is definitely gold with black dots within it. It's NOT brown/black with some gold in it. I 've included a picture of me climbing with it where you can actively see that the color, even from afar.

[ This is the first climbing rope that I have purchased, and I have taken it out twice now to top rope. I really like how the neon green pops on the rock. The rope has lots of give that makes an unexpected fall like riding a Johnny- Jump- Up. Very comfortable. I also really like the bright yellow end markers but those are tape and I think they will fall off soon. There is a middle mark on the rope, but it ’s not bright, so meh.
