I have been using these spoons for over 50 years and with good success. Now I 'm buying the small one's to try them on Crappie.

I 've been fishing fresh and salt water with the Johnson's Minnow spoon for over 60 years and find them perfect for fishing the grassy flats, weeds and pads for nearly all fish. I always hook on a plastic grub or pork rind strip as I believe that enhances the effectiveness. Some times I 'll cast onto a pad and wiggle it off, or let it settle on the bottom, then retrieve with a small jerk similar to fishing a plastic worm. It casts easily so 1/4 oz. is good for most spinning outfits, while 1/2 oz. works best with a casting rod. For me, silver has been the best all around, but I 'm trying out colors too, especially for salt water. If I had to fish just one spoon this would be it because of it's versatility.

Fishing lures tubes are soft, hollow-bodied lures designed to mimic the appearance and movement of prey in the water. They are typically made from flexible materials that allow for realistic action when retrieved. Anglers use these lures to attract various species of fish by creating enticing movements that trigger a predatory response.
Tube lures are versatile and can be effective for catching a wide range of fish species, including bass, trout, and panfish. Their design allows them to be used in various fishing environments, such as freshwater lakes, rivers, and even saltwater. The effectiveness often depends on the color, size, and retrieval technique used.
Tube lures offer several advantages, including their ability to mimic the natural movement of prey and their versatility in different fishing conditions. They can be rigged in various ways, allowing anglers to adapt to specific fishing scenarios. Additionally, their soft texture can lead to more natural presentations, increasing the chances of a successful catch.
Choosing the right size and color of tube lures depends on the type of fish you are targeting and the water conditions. Generally, smaller tubes work well for panfish, while larger sizes are better suited for bass. Color selection can be influenced by water clarity, light conditions, and the natural forage in the area, so experimenting with different options can help determine the most effective choice.
Effective techniques for using tube lures include casting and retrieving, jigging, or dragging them along the bottom. Varying the speed and rhythm of your retrieve can help mimic the movement of prey and attract fish. Additionally, incorporating pauses during the retrieve can create a more enticing presentation, increasing the likelihood of bites.
