Bought the lure to augment an offshore trolling spread consisting of surface and near- surface lines. Fished the plug on 20- pound trolling outfit, with 12- foot 150- pound mono leader, run about 100 feet down the middle. The plug pulls hard when trolled at 7 to 8 knots, but digs down and swims well, even at that speed-- although anglers should be warned that at that speed, a 20 is about as light as you can go, as the lure will take line off the reel if anything less than 7 pounds of drag is used. Primary target for the lure was dolphin( mahi- mahi), which hit it well when not showing on the surface; the plug drew a strike from my largest mahi of the 2018 season.

I 'm a long time fan of Z- Man plastics. I feel they 're the best quality you can buy. I was a fan of the TubeZ, but I like the TicklerZ even better. I like that they have a solid body as opposed to a hollow body. The bait lasts longer and the short tentacles always have great action. You can fish this bait in a number of different presentations which makes it very versatile. Smallmouth, largemouth, white bass, crappie, and saugeye have all been caught on this! I 've been very happy with the action, durability and color options of the Rapala Cleanup Craw. I 've used it as a jig trailer and Texas rigged it on an EWG hook with success. The claws do n't tear off on short strikes which is a huge plus. The forward facing appendages on the side of the craw flutter when retrieved. Been using swimming flukes since they came out... have caught bass, snook, reds and speckled trout. Use them as a swimbait Texas rigged with a pegged bullet weight. Use them weightless worked real slow and easy, just twitch them or bring to the top and let them sink back down to the bottom or buzz them on top. You can go fishing with only this bait and always catch fish. Houdini is my favorite color... What a bait!!

Have been using them for years. Theyre the best. Have tried some of the other stik baits but found out very quickly they don ’ t cut it. Switched to Senko on a full time basis when I found out I didn ’ t have to keep chasing the newer jig, swim bait, spinner et- al. Senko always works.

as expected, these Berkley 2 '' curlies are quality baits. each bait is consistent in quality in shape, size, and color and the colors are very vibrant. durability is about average but still very decent. these baits will catch all panfish species- bluegill, perch, and crappie for me. and when i do catch the occasional bass, it's usually with this berkley power bait. i recently downsized from regular bass rig to ultra lite and could n't be happier with these little curly tails- several colors/combos. lastly, i think you 'll find these 2 '' ers are a little beefier than most other small grubs and the fish seem to appreciate it, as do i.
