I can speak from alot of experience with this product. I use this these for freshwater trout that are locally stocked. If you impart the correct action, you will draw strikes when nobody else is.. i 've often outfished live fatheads. Also, if your intentions are to catch and release, using a 2 in jig like this with a 1/32 th oz head assures an easy liphook for quick releases. Ill tell you the secret, pretend your teasing a cat on your retrieve and fish will jump on it!

I use 3in and 4in Big Hammers as my go to swimbait on 1/4th and 3/8th ounce swimbait heads. They have a great tail thump/ body wobble that it just right, not too little and not too much. The tail swims on the fall and does it's thing on the slowest of retrieves. I really like the keeled body because it helps it get down to the bottom quick, rather than round body swimbaits that might suspend in comparable situations with a ton of line out or in moving current.
