I bought this bait at my local dicks sporting goods store last week. I fish on Cayuga lake which is located in the finger lakes in Upstate New York. I purchased some Berkley grub minnows for fishing off of a dock near a marina and off of the shore near a small bank. I had lots of success in landing some fish including some blue gill, pumpkin seed, rock bass, and large mouth bass. Do n't let me forget to mention that I caught A LOT of gobies. These things have huge mouths and love the scented bait. You can definitely catch some 2 or 3 lb largemouth on these bait if you are fishing in the right area. I found that using a size 4 jawbone hook worked well with a Carolina rig for the fish I was after. I added a 1/8 oz weight about 5 inches from the hook. I received most bites and catches on sunny days with calm water in about 20- 40 feet of water. To retrieve the bait cast it out very far, then let it sink to the bottom. Then just slowly reel on the line every 5 seconds then let it sink then repeat. These baits tear away after you snag them or hook them multiple times. They also lose scent after a while so sometimes if it is reusable I wash it off then throw it back in the bag to soak in the juice.

I also caught tons! and tons! of gobies where I fished. These things have huge mouths and love the scented bait. I was only fishing of a dock so I did n't get the full experience of using this bait on a boat or kayak. I found that using a smaller hook worked well in catching the fish near me. I hooked the bait through the head and out the bottom similar to a carolina rig. The bait works well even after a few fish are caught and the bait is broken down. I suggest throwing the bait back in the back once finished so it can redial up the liquid in the gulp bag. All in all decent bait for a good price.

I can speak from alot of experience with this product. I use this these for freshwater trout that are locally stocked. If you impart the correct action, you will draw strikes when nobody else is.. i 've often outfished live fatheads. Also, if your intentions are to catch and release, using a 2 in jig like this with a 1/32 th oz head assures an easy liphook for quick releases. I 've been using Zoom products for several years now and use the swimmin chunk as a trailer on a 1/4 ounce jig and also a 3/8 ounce jig. i usually dip the legs in a chartreuse garlic dye, and most of my jigs are a shade of green( usually a green crawfish) not sure if the bass see this as a bluegill or crawfish; only that it catches fish!! i fish an extremely clear, fairly deep lake so detail is very important.

When the saucy swimmers came out, I thought, why not give them a try. I 'm glad did. Nothing is the scent something the fish seem to lock on to, they are extremely durable. At first I was very skeptical about the googan baits but I decided to give a few different styles a try. The bandito bug has turned into my favorite flipping creature/craw soft plastic. Whether it ’s a pegged texas rig, jig trailer or my favorite... a Picasso wobble head. It always catches fish. When I first saw the bait in person, I thought it was too little for the lakes I fish but once I saw the action under water, I was very surprised at how wide those back legs kicked.. it gave it a larger appearance which was perfect. I have been using Zoom Fat Albert grubs for several years and they are the best in my opinion. I fish them on a jig head', swimming them back to the boat using a lift and drop retrieve and sometimes a straight retrieve. You need to try both methods to see which one works the best each day. I also use them as a trailer on spinner baits. And do n't forget to try them on a safety pin rig like the old beetle spin but with the Fat Albert in stead of the beetle.

T- rig with 1/4- 3/8 oz tungsten bullet weight and a 4/0- 5/0 off set worm hook. You can use a 1/16- 1/8 oz bullet weight if you are using spinning gear. Cast to some cover and let it set on the bottom for a stretch with occasional twitches. Hits most often occur as the worm is falling to the bottom... but I have also had hits shortly after the worm hits the bottom and is just setting there. Stitch it along the bottom by lifting and dropping your rod tip 6 '' or so. Slowly works best, but the bass will tell you what they want. Do n't be afraid to tie on a big worm when you are fishing for largemouth bass! I 've had bass< 1 lb hit this worm like a train. I keep my colors simple... black and green pumpkin are all you need. Those 2 work in all conditions. A great worm by Zoom!!

paddle tail swimbaits rigged with a jig head are often the first baits i throw when fishing for bass. Just so happens it was the only bait i threw all day over the weekend. These produced hits from both largemouth bass and northern in ultra clear water and murky. I was using the sight flash color and it worked great.
