There is a small disk you have to take out of the flashlight before use. There are several different mode that you can use. There is also a strobe function. The head twists up so you can use it for small spaces or large area areas as seen in my video and pictures. It is 10, 000 lumens so it is super bright! After much trial and error, I have found that the Moji Lantern is the best overall for use in the Boundary Waters- they are rouged and have found that they stand up to a high water/wet environment. The variable brightnesses on the Moji means that I can have the lantern on all nights if needed. They are lite weight, very durable and dependable. [ When I first saw this headlamp, I was a little confused at why the front was so small( I am used to a decent sized headlamp at the front) but they made it to where all of the weight is on the rear of the headstrap so that the headlamp doesnt leave a HUGE imprint on your head after you take it off. I ’ ve always been a bit of a flashlight guy. As a kid I cost my dad a small fortune in D cells running down his baseball bat sized Maglite. I ’ ve been through more headlamps than I can count over the years. I picked up this particular one a few months ago and I have to say it has been by far the best headlamp I ’ ve ever had. The door fuel capability comes in handy, and the functions on this light are super useful and navigable. It ’s great to having the brightness memory as well as the powertap feature to be able to instantly switch to max and back. One feature that stands out is the way each mode dims/brightens. I haven ’ t seen that on a light before. It also seems a lot brighter than 450 lumens at max. I bought this head lamp after consistent disappointments from many brands, including High End brands, all failing within a year of first use. This light was purchased on 4/6/2022@ 10: 30 AM. It was plugged into my computer to charge over night, then placed in my cargo pant pocket to carry from job to job. I pull it out to charge on my computer regularly and use this light at work daily, and when camping or fishing. I am closing fast on 3 years of ownership, and it has not failed me yet. For three years it is either lighting my way, bouncing around in my pocket, or on the desk charging. The green light is silly, and the turbo setting is also just a silly feature, but this had allowed me to work with a dependable light consistently for more than two years. it is bright enough to work in dark places, and sets low enough to not have a glare. It is light weight on the head, and I hardly know it is there. The small battery has not been an issue yet. I have nothing but good things to say about this light.

I ’ m very surprised at some of these bad reviews! I own both the 1500 and 2000 Nebo Davinci flashlights and they are incredible. Best flashlights I have ever owned. I personally prefer the 1500 because of its size. It ’s super small and lightweight and for its size it puts out an insane amount of light with great control and throw. The 2000 is a bit bigger, and even though it does produce more light, the 1500 seems to have the best size to light ratio- so that ’s my recommendation, for what it ’s worth. They are easy to charge( with usb c; hurray!!) and without having to take the battery all the way out. I ’ ve never had any issues with them after getting wet or dropping them, which I ’ ve unfortunately done quite a bit. After many many comparisons, these are the absolute best so far. Hope this helps!

I ordered one of these lights to test put up at our cabin when sitting on the deck under a patio umbrella. This little light puts out just enough light to be fun and eliminate the need for a regular full light that would attract bugs easier. My only wish is that you could order a longer one. I am going to order 2 more because I am putting this on the edge of the patio umbrella and 1 only does about a 1/3 of it at the edge. 2 more will offer a bit more light as well. [ This thing SAVED on my last move. Packing my U- Haul took longer than expected, so it went into dark. The fact this thing is magnetic and has spot OR flood is huge. I was able to stick it to the U- Haul and had plenty of light to pack the entire truck for multiple hours on one charge. The spotlight isn ’ t kidding when it talks about its distance, I can light up the house at the end of the block and then some. It ’s nice it also has a low red light so you don ’ t have to obliterate your night vision if you need just a little light. Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

I bought the Fenix 8 after a couple of less- than- optimal experiences with competitor products. After several months with the watch, I am convinced that there is not a more thoughtfully designed sports watch on the market. Everything on this watch just works, and Garmin has thought of everything. Even small details like the watch automatically ejecting water from the speaker after a watersports activity speak to the level of detail that Garmin focused on when designing this watch. The software is fast and fluid, the screen is brilliant, and the health and exercise data collected is precise and presented in a useful and palatable format. The only thing that I feel could use some improvement with the watch is that when I take a phone call from the watch, there is evidently a lot of microphone feedback, as in people talking to me through my watch hear a significant echo of everything they say. Overall, an excellent watch that I feel is well worth the higher price tag.
