Love it, used to own a small nonrechargeable version a few years ago as a corrections officer. I bought this head lamp after consistent disappointments from many brands, including High End brands, all failing within a year of first use. This light was purchased on 4/6/2022@ 10: 30 AM. It was plugged into my computer to charge over night, then placed in my cargo pant pocket to carry from job to job. I pull it out to charge on my computer regularly and use this light at work daily, and when camping or fishing. I am closing fast on 3 years of ownership, and it has not failed me yet. For three years it is either lighting my way, bouncing around in my pocket, or on the desk charging. The green light is silly, and the turbo setting is also just a silly feature, but this had allowed me to work with a dependable light consistently for more than two years. it is bright enough to work in dark places, and sets low enough to not have a glare. It is light weight on the head, and I hardly know it is there. The small battery has not been an issue yet. I have nothing but good things to say about this light.

This little light puts out just enough light to be fun and eliminate the need for a regular full light that would attract bugs easier. My only wish is that you could order a longer one. I am going to order 2 more because I am putting this on the edge of the patio umbrella and 1 only does about a 1/3 of it at the edge. 2 more will offer a bit more light as well. I ’ m very surprised at some of these bad reviews! I own both the 1500 and 2000 Nebo Davinci flashlights and they are incredible. Best flashlights I have ever owned. I personally prefer the 1500 because of its size. It ’s super small and lightweight and for its size it puts out an insane amount of light with great control and throw. The 2000 is a bit bigger, and even though it does produce more light, the 1500 seems to have the best size to light ratio- so that ’s my recommendation, for what it ’s worth. They are easy to charge( with usb c; hurray!!) and without having to take the battery all the way out. I ’ ve never had any issues with them after getting wet or dropping them, which I ’ ve unfortunately done quite a bit. After many many comparisons, these are the absolute best so far. Hope this helps!

[ This thing SAVED on my last move. Packing my U- Haul took longer than expected, so it went into dark. The fact this thing is magnetic and has spot OR flood is huge. I was able to stick it to the U- Haul and had plenty of light to pack the entire truck for multiple hours on one charge. This rechargeable battery pack is a large upgrade over the stock included battery case for the icon 700 headlamp. It is lighter and feels better when wearing the headlamp than the battery case along with the inclusion of the rear facing red- light which increases the usefulness of the Icon 700 headlamp for more activities where rear visibility is needed. I would not hesitate to purchase this battery pack again, the only thing I would change is to purchase it sooner.

Good all around headlamp in terms of weight/brightness balance. Favorite feature is that the continuous brightness adjustment is remembered when powered off/on, so I do n't have to keep readjusting it. Button is large and easy enough to use to handle with glove or mitten on, and headlamp worked fine in near zero( F) temps.

I have been using cheap headlamps for years... finally invested in this product and it has changed the game. The lighting is incredible, the power tap feature is really cool, and the battery has been very reliable. Having used many headlamps over the years—including the original Black Diamond Icon and all its upgrades—I can confidently say the Black Diamond Distant Headlamp stands out as a top- tier option. It ’s brighter and more versatile than most, with adjustable lighting modes and easy dimming to conserve battery life. The rugged, weatherproof design feels well- made, and I ’ m hoping the headband holds up better than previous models, where the straps failed too quickly. It ’s definitely on the expensive side, and the extra battery I purchased wasn ’ t cheap either. However, since I use a headlamp frequently, having a spare battery allows me to swap them out without downtime. If you need a high- performance headlamp and are willing to pay a premium for brightness, durability, and versatility, this one is worth considering.
