Ive been using Topknot for over 5 years now on all my baitcasters that hold fluorocarbon. Ive tried many different mainlines and cant seem to find a major difference between them. I bought this about 6 weeks ago and finally got around to winding it on my bait caster. First it is really clear! What I like about it most being clear it disappears in the water. I also don ’ t think it has very much stretch as I ’ ve caught bass from 1/2 pounds to over 3 and felt the initial bite so I think it is a very sensitive line.

I have run through 4 spools of 30lb test/ 30 yards in 6 months. Always in my small carry tackle bag. Sits next to lures and pliers in that bag( and water) and is one of my essentials. Grouper, speckled sea trout, Pampano, Jack Cervelle, and of course, the mighty snook seem to not notice the 30lb test.

I ’ ve only been bass fishing since late 2021 and I have been using baitcasters for a year now and I actually switched to of my setups to Fluorocarbon- one of mine has contra by strike king 15lb test and the other has this line in 12lb test. I ’ m telling you Inknow there ’s a little difference in lb test but the strike king contra sucks compared to this brand wow is this smooth!!! No backlashes yet and I ’ m on my 15th cast.
