As an avid dragon boat and outrigger canoe paddler, safety is important. It came to my attention my prior PFD was too large to be effective in case of emergency. I found not one, but three different XS vests to choose from, and went with the mid- priced Onyx Airspan Breeze. It's perfect! An added bonus is the pockets are actually usable! 1st PFD. The Fisherman has more adjustment straps to get a snug fit and the is more comfortable than the other comparable PFDs I tried on. The rigidity of the 2 front zippered pockets is also a plus, IMO, over the other comparable PFDs because they act as trays to set gear on when making fishing setup adjustemnts. However, some of the other comparable PFDs seem to have more gear storage options/pockets than the Fisherman but comfort and adjustment was more important to me than gear storage volume. Plus, more gear in and on the PDF equals more weight which may not be a good thing in an emergency situation whilst on a lake or river.

I bought this life vest to have on board a kayak since you know, that's the law! Comfort was n't really a concern going into the purchase, knowing I would n't be wearing it much if at all. Price, however, was and I did n't want to spend$ 100 on something. This vest is actually really comfortable and fits well for a lower price point. I have a larger chest( 36D) and normally wear a medium or large top( 29- 30 '' waist), and the S/M fit perfectly. I can sit comfortably too, and the vest does n't ride up and the shoulders do n't push up either. For reference, I 'm 5' 3 '' with an average length torso.
