Our first camping trip this spring for 5 days. The label says 6 days. Temps were high in low 70's, lows in the 40's. And we came home with ice. Great job. I froze about 15 pounds of meat in ziplocks, and placed in plastic cereal boxed shaped containers. and put two gallons of frozen ice jugs. With about 24 cans and condiments. We came home with a golf ball sized ice cube in the gallon jugs, and cold meat! One more gallon of ice and it would have made 6 days, no doubt. Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

If you love cold drinks driving to hot states in the summer or any time this is a great cooler that will do the job. This is highly recommended as opposed to thermoelectric coolers if you need to travel with medication that must be at a certain temperature. The only drawback is that all compressor coolers are heaver by design. The bail handle seems strong enough by design to handle to full weight of the cooler. Where the bail handle attaches to both sides of the cooler body, this is why I gave this cooler 4 stars. It seems to be loose fitting and flimsy at the ends. The handles will just fall down to the sides when let go. The cooling and holding temperature work as designed and the compressor will stay off for about an hour to cool again at the set temp.( 42' F). I recommend the cooler, wish the price was less, great overall satisfaction.

Bought one with a build date of dec 2023 and one of the compartments did not seal properly. Returned it and bought a unit with a build date of February 2024. This one seals properly and cools both sections down at the same rate. On a river 2 pro I got about 70 hours of runtime from 98 to 0. Both sections set to 30 degrees, this lines up with other power consumption tests of other domestic fridges showing an average of 11wh usage per hour. You can double check to make sure your unit is sealing properly by placing a bright light inside and then closing the door, if you see light coming through then it is not sealing properly

The cooler itself is great, it's small and easy to bring with you, but big enough that you can still load a decent amount of stuff in it and whether you use ice or the igloo freezer blocks, it does a great job of keeping things cold for a reasonable amount of time. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this cooler for small day trips or if you need a lunch box. If you are like a construction worker or a truck driver or something it's perfect for that sort of thing.

For even longer cooling the oversized drain makes draining water out a breeze and makes it easy to top of the ice and keep everything inside cool. [ I love this cooler, my daughter bout one of these and I have been using it more than her so I figured I needed to buy my own. Believe it or not my dad had invented the wheel design and handle back in the 80's. I 'm glad to see your improvements to the design. I really like the extension T on the handle. but would remocent one thing and that is something to get the handle up higher so the cooler does n't tip over when you walk upright where it is comfortable. I just made a loop with 2 '' webbing to put around the handle as a quick fix but would love something more purmanent.

I love the Coleman brand stuff nice I was a kid. Usually built tough for the outdoors. Overall it got the job done. One negative was the band to keep the cooler top open was tight so it kept closing when u was trying to load stuff in it. Thought I ’ d stretch it slightly and the band snapped ☹️. Now the hinges on the cooler seem a little loose. But I ’ m fine with it

[ After a week's trip to northern Michigan we loved our Dometic CFX3. We biked the Leelanau Trail from Traverse City and the Heritage Trail through the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore. It is beautiful country, and we had great meals while camping. Everything was kept cool and safe with no hunting for ice. We only ate Mexican at a Roadhouse one time during the week. We only wish we had Dometic years ago.

[ After working with my 45L cooler and trying different ice configurations, I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase a Dometic fridge. Very happy I did... no more melted ice and we get to use the full space vs. 2/3 of it filled with ice. I went with Dometic based on their brand reputation and most importantly the power draw. I can run this off of a Goal Zero Yeti 1000 for 4 days. Average draw is about 10w/hour, far less than most others out there which gives us plenty of run time!
