There are big and small pockets inside and outside of the backpack. I can easily fit in my 13 ” MacBook Pro in the laptop slot. It won ’ t be a problem to fit in a 15 ” MacBook too. Both sides of the backpack have the water bottle slot as compared to others that usually have one. There is a small compartment on the outside upper backpack that is lined and padded, can be used to put mobile phone. The straps of the backpack are padded for comfortability on the shoulders. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I would change the side straps for the rigid mat to be a little longer, and the phone holder to be more elastic, since my S23 Ultra does n't fit. I highly recommend this backpack without a doubt.

Its main pocket is very spacious, it has a mesh liner inside to keep things in place while still having plenty of room for other items, there ’s also a bonus zipper inside where you can keep a wallet and have it secured. The side pocket is perfect for a water bottle, and you don ’ t have to worry about it being too large because the pocket has a an elastic band that gives more leeway for bigger bottles and doesn ’ t puff up when you remove the bottle keeping it sleek. The front pocket is also spacious, ideal for smaller items like deodorant, keys, snacks etc. The material is smooth and the backpack feels lightweight. I don ’ t have any gripes with the backpack, if anything I would have added a rubber or sturdier sole for the bottom to avoid wear and tear from being placed on various surfaces. Overall, I highly recommend the backpack for any instance. And don ’ t worry, even if you have the bag on for extended periods, the straps are smooth and don ’ t cause any discomfort. I have n't used this pack but it looks great, with excellent materials, pockets and overall construction. It also seems to tick most boxes for ultra runners who may be doing multi- day events requiring a lot of mandatory gear. Some runners may question the design choice of having only one side of the vest strap capable of carrying a 500ml soft flask. Perhaps this is the preferred option for fastpacking but having capacity for two soft flasks in addition to two zippered pockets on either side like the BD Distance 15 pack would be ideal, at least for ultra runners.

Believe it or not, I have tried several UL backpacks in my career. The only downside I see is that the shoulder pocket with the zipper is too tiny to hold a standard- sized cell phone comfortably. If I had a bigger one, I could guarantee it would never fit inside.

Excellent well designed backpack. It can hold your shoes and ball. The built in netting can hold a volleyball and then can be put away if Not. The bottle holders on both sides can hold a 40 oz metal bottle and are so deep, the bottles will not fall out. Ultra durable. Even with shoes on the inside, there is plenty of room for books, laptop and any other things you keep such as phone, headphones etc. The straps on the bottom hold my roller massager. This bag is so much better than a standard backpack for volleyball players.
