[ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I am a 35 years old nomad, and I 've been a nomad since my childhood( thank you, mom and dad!). So you can imagine that I ’ ve gone through my fair share of travel gear. But five years ago, I made the switch to this backpack, and let me tell you: it changed the game!! This isn ’ t just a bag; it ’s my life in carry- on form. We ’ re talking everything: clothes, two laptops, cameras, wires, other electronics, toiletries, you name it... I even managed to attach a tripod and camping tent on the front face for a while.( Who even designs something that versatile? Genius!!!) I am not the most careful person with my belongings, so backpack has seen it all. I ’ ve flown on airlines across every continent, and not once did it get issues using it as a carry- on. Okay, there was that one tiny plane where it wouldn ’ t fit in the overhead bin. But I found an easy solution: I pulled out my laptops, slid this backpack under the seat, and we were good to go.( Sure, the flight was cramped, but blame the plane, not the backpack 😂) It ’s not just about the space, though. This bag is comfy to carry for hours, perfectly balanced, with multiple carrying options and a sternum strap that ’s somehow both lightweight and super durable. And yes, it ’s heavier than my previous bags. But I ca n't complain, because it ’s built to last. Five years of travel( and trust me, my trips are not gentle), and it still looks like I just bought it. No scratches, no tears, not much wear( you can see it in the pic, although the backpack was super dirty on one of those pics lol). And I loooove the water resistance. This thing has survived downpours that left me drenched while my gear stayed dry. Mind you, I have my stuff inside plastic bags inside my backpack, just in case. But the last few times, nothing inside got wet anyway. I haven ’ t tested it recently, and I know that the water resistance may decrease over the years... but from my past experiences, it ’s never let me down.( I ’ ll update this review if that ever changes) If you ’ re on the fence because of the price, but you are looking for something to use for years, let me save you some time: just get it. After five years, I can ’ t imagine using another backpack. It ’s my ultimate travel companion, and if ever it breaks, I would buy another one for sure. I hope this helps someone!!!

[ Wow where to start with the beautiful piece of craftsmanship. I have used the pack for several adventures and it has performed great. I used it to haul climbing gear for a day of climbing. I ’ m a skinny guy with a longish torso and usually have trouble finding packs that are long enough and still sinch down enough around the waist. I used the back pack on a multi day unicorn hunt. I was able to pack all my camping gear and food for five days. My hunt was successful and I was even able to pack out my unicorn head for the taxidermist. This is exactly what I wanted out of a small backpack. Minimal pockets, but enough for what you need for a day out. Works great for work/commuting/gym/carryon. I mainly carry my bottle, an iPad, and a couple wires. Sometimes throw an extra shirt in there too if I ’ m going to the gym. If you ’ re using it for more than a day, I would go bigger, BUT for an everyday bag, this is perfect.

This is a great bag. Although it doesn ’ t have a dedicated laptop pocket, my computer is really easy toe grab from the main compartment. For some people, it might not have enough organization, but it has more room when you needed. I have other bag that has ton of organization, but it just can not fit a lot of stuff. This backpack is very big and sturdy and it can definitely hold a lot of whatever you need. I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. I have n't used this pack but it looks great, with excellent materials, pockets and overall construction. It also seems to tick most boxes for ultra runners who may be doing multi- day events requiring a lot of mandatory gear. Some runners may question the design choice of having only one side of the vest strap capable of carrying a 500ml soft flask. Perhaps this is the preferred option for fastpacking but having capacity for two soft flasks in addition to two zippered pockets on either side like the BD Distance 15 pack would be ideal, at least for ultra runners.

It's a great backpack. I got it large and it was actually smaller than I thought it would be. It definitely wo n't go over your head if you think it's those types of backpacks. You can reach the water bottle if you are able to reach for it normally on the side pocket. It looks nice and the clips are easy to snap on and off to remove the pack. The pockets all are great and the small pocket on the strap is pretty convenient and you can see through it a little bit to know what's in it too.

I used this pack on a winter 7 miles, 3, 200' elevation hike breaking trail most of the way. I packed from the bottom up: belay parka in a compression sack, burly goretex shell jacket, 2 one liter nalgene bottles, extra gloves, med/ emergency kit( about 1L in size), 2, 500 calories of snacks, nanopuff jacket. Two headlamps and keys in the internal zip pocket, map and microspikes in the external zip pocket. Two 16oz waterbottles in each side pocket for 3L total, neither side waterbottle fell out while butt sliding down the trail. Samsung Galaxy S22 fit nicely in either chest pocket, chapstick in the bottom elastic pockets. 25 '' snowshoes on the S/M pack were easy to put on a take off with a sling. I did n't use the zip pocket next to the waterbottle holder but it definitely seems like it could be useful. Used the double sternum strap( very comfortable!) to clip my gloves to the bottom strap and tuck them under the top so no snow fell in. I carried the pack around for 15 minutes with 30lbs of rice and beans in the back, it carries the weight well but you can feel items through the back if you do n't pack right. No soreness the day after hiking. I plan to take this out on longer day hikes- presidential range, great range where I might want extra gear but do n't want a 40+L pack. No signs of wear after a single hike getting snagged by trees, seems like it will be durable. Sizing: I typically wear my packs at 18 '' torso, the S/M mens is a perfect fit, I had about 1 '' extra waistband with a 28 '' waist. I bought the Deuter SpeedLite 28 womens but it was terribly tiny all over, this is everything I wanted that pack to be and better. Overall: Very well organized, lots of attachment points, lightweight, comfortable, and moves well with the wearer. New go to pack, well worth the price.

Had this a couple of months and just took my first trip. I bought a pair of ski boots and checked them with my luggage. On my return trip I was worried they would get banged up so a light bulb went off. Could I possibly fit two huge size twelve ski boots in my Peak design. Holy crap. They fit like a glove. As if they were designed for the bag. Bonus, I said hmmmm. I wonder if I can use the straps to tie my helmet to the outside. boom works perfectly. It held everything I needed- I am an over packer too- and I still had room to pack out a few extra things like camp garbage. The hip support pads were nice and cushioned and didn ’ t chafe my skin like other packs, but I did notice my hips more sore than normal the day after. I wish there was more exterior pockets for smaller items, but the top cover having such a large pocket did the trick for me to access things like headlamp, bug spray, and some snacks. We bought this for my son as we got more into backpacking. This pack is versatile and handles his gear nicely. It isn ’ t unusual for him to strap the sleeping pad to the bottom of the pack. We use light gear, but definitely not all ultralight ultra compact gear. Durability is not a concern. I have a larger 80L pack and am considering getting this same pack for a more compact carry. I would say this pack could fit the bill for beginners and advanced users alike.

[ I 'd been using my old pack for 20 years and just bought the Osprey Atmos 65. I just came back from a five day trip in the Beartooths( Montana) and I was glad to have the new pack. It definitely put the weight on my hips and was much easier on my shoulders than my old pack. The suspension system was also great, making this a more comfortable backpack. It's almost 4 pounds lighter than my previous pack as well. I 've only used it 5 days, so ca n't really comment on the long- term durability. I 've had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders over the past 2 1/2 years so my shoulders appreciated the new pack as well. Very pleased so far.

[ This pack is the perfect size for anything from a weekend to a full week of backpacking. It is very comfortable and can adjust to just about any size. I love all of the added features this pack has, especially the fact it has a large main compartment and then other smaller compartments to fit specialty items. I see see a few reviews about it making a squeaking noise while walking but I have n't noticed that yet.

[ Have only taken this pack on one trek so far but it was great. Very comfortable and distributes weight nicely. I love how convient it is to access the inside of the pack with the front pouch. Only complaint is the water bottle pocket- it ’s very difficult to get a 1. 5 liter Nalgene in and out when the pack is full.

I did n't understand the significance of a female- specific pack until I got this one-- I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. It packs much better than my previous pack and the weight is distributed better and sits on my hips more comfortably. Definitely recommend!

Just got this pack as a replacement for my very old and trusted Arial 75. Despite being a guy I got the women's as my last one was a women's and it fit me so well. I am 5' 7 '' '' and 155#. Super comfortable and easy to adjust. I have just used it so far for day backcountry skiing. It easily synched down to a small size and was narrow with no wobble for skiing in the trees. Lots of pockets, I especially like the double pockets in the lid for sorting small stuff.

This is as well built of a bag as you ’ ll find. I love the 3 zip opening, made famous by now- yeti- owned Mystery Ranch. The 22L is great for a day out, or a small travel bag. If you want more space and a dedicated laptop zippered compartment, get the 27l. Otherwise, this does the trick.

I bought this backpack in black. I absolutely love the way this backpack opens, which allows for many items to be packed. Pack is made of tuffskin nylon, has a ripzip opening which compression straps. Has a compartment for a laptop and can easily be slid over the handle on a suitcase if traveling in the airport. You ca n't go wrong with this one!

[ I LOVE this back. I backpacked through deep mud and heavy rain. The included rain cover was great for hiking and laying the bag down in the muddy vestibule. It feels like you are carrying half the weight when it is on and it can be adjusted to whatever your carrying preference is. I had and easily accessible spot for everything. I compared it to many other bags before settling on it. No other bag could beat the comfort, which is really important for a person with back pain.
