I am a 35 years old nomad, and I 've been a nomad since my childhood( thank you, mom and dad!). So you can imagine that I ’ ve gone through my fair share of travel gear. Five years of travel( and trust me, my trips are not gentle), and it still looks like I just bought it. No scratches, no tears, not much wear( you can see it in the pic, although the backpack was super dirty on one of those pics lol). And I loooove the water resistance. This thing has survived downpours that left me drenched while my gear stayed dry. Mind you, I have my stuff inside plastic bags inside my backpack, just in case. But the last few times, nothing inside got wet anyway. I haven ’ t tested it recently, and I know that the water resistance may decrease over the years... but from my past experiences, it ’s never let me down.( I ’ ll update this review if that ever changes) If you ’ re on the fence because of the price, but you are looking for something to use for years, let me save you some time: just get it. After five years, I can ’ t imagine using another backpack. It ’s my ultimate travel companion, and if ever it breaks, I would buy another one for sure. I hope this helps someone!!!

Had this a couple of months and just took my first trip. I bought a pair of ski boots and checked them with my luggage. On my return trip I was worried they would get banged up so a light bulb went off. Could I possibly fit two huge size twelve ski boots in my Peak design. Holy crap. They fit like a glove. As if they were designed for the bag. Bonus, I said hmmmm. I wonder if I can use the straps to tie my helmet to the outside. boom works perfectly. And I also put my tech bag, lap top, iPad, kindle, head phones, goggles, etc in the bag and I need even need to expand to 45 liters. I also bought the sling bag which I carry in the bag and use as a day pack, it takes up zero room in the bag. Oh and I am still finding little compartments I did n't know where there. THERE IS NOT OTHER BAG ON THE MARKET AS GOOD AS THIS. Oh, I know I am a bag junky and I own all the others as well.

The ambidextrous shoulder strap is a nice feature that allows me to share this with family and friends. An exterior pouch for a water bottle would be about the only upgrade I ’ d recommend, but it was easy enough to clip a bottle to the loop built into the pack without any carrying problems. Highly recommend this pack. Light, sturdy and well made. Can ’ t go wrong with the Osprey lifetime product guarantee either!

I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.
