We bought this for my high school son to use as his daily school back pack. It works great. We debated on what size to get. We are so glad we got this one and did n't go with a smaller bag. His bag holds his lap top, 3 small binders, a couple of books and a lunch bag quite well. And so far, we are very happy with the quality. I am a 35 years old nomad, and I 've been a nomad since my childhood( thank you, mom and dad!). So you can imagine that I ’ ve gone through my fair share of travel gear. But five years ago, I made the switch to this backpack, and let me tell you: it changed the game!! This isn ’ t just a bag; it ’s my life in carry- on form. We ’ re talking everything: clothes, two laptops, cameras, wires, other electronics, toiletries, you name it... I even managed to attach a tripod and camping tent on the front face for a while.( Who even designs something that versatile? Genius!!!) I am not the most careful person with my belongings, so backpack has seen it all. I ’ ve flown on airlines across every continent, and not once did it get issues using it as a carry- on. Okay, there was that one tiny plane where it wouldn ’ t fit in the overhead bin. But I found an easy solution: I pulled out my laptops, slid this backpack under the seat, and we were good to go.( Sure, the flight was cramped, but blame the plane, not the backpack 😂) It ’s not just about the space, though. This bag is comfy to carry for hours, perfectly balanced, with multiple carrying options and a sternum strap that ’s somehow both lightweight and super durable. And yes, it ’s heavier than my previous bags. But I ca n't complain, because it ’s built to last. Five years of travel( and trust me, my trips are not gentle), and it still looks like I just bought it. No scratches, no tears, not much wear( you can see it in the pic, although the backpack was super dirty on one of those pics lol). And I loooove the water resistance. This thing has survived downpours that left me drenched while my gear stayed dry. Mind you, I have my stuff inside plastic bags inside my backpack, just in case. But the last few times, nothing inside got wet anyway. I haven ’ t tested it recently, and I know that the water resistance may decrease over the years... but from my past experiences, it ’s never let me down.( I ’ ll update this review if that ever changes) If you ’ re on the fence because of the price, but you are looking for something to use for years, let me save you some time: just get it. After five years, I can ’ t imagine using another backpack. It ’s my ultimate travel companion, and if ever it breaks, I would buy another one for sure. I hope this helps someone!!!

I got this backpack to prepare for my 3 month trip in the Caribbean and it ’s has been so helpful to say the least. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. However, I don ’ t have any worry they will come undone when I check it at the airport. Overall, this bag has been a HUGE help!! It definitely has made my traveling much easier.

This is a great backpack for the price. I am giving it 5 stars because it's everything you would want and need in a pack. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I recommended this to a buddy and he has one and uses it quite often like myself.

I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I would change the side straps for the rigid mat to be a little longer, and the phone holder to be more elastic, since my S23 Ultra does n't fit. I highly recommend this backpack without a doubt.

I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. It's also nice looking and the easy to remove/attach waterproof cover is an additional plus.

It has buckles that can keep the backpack more compact, or unclipped, can expand to the full size. Has many pockets and comes with a rain shield in a bottom pocket to cover the whole backpack in the rain. The chest and waist clips to secure the backpack are comfortable too. This backpack also has a central zipper down the middle which would help you reach anything inside easily, even in the bottom of the pack.

[ Wow where to start with the beautiful piece of craftsmanship. I have used the pack for several adventures and it has performed great. I used it to haul climbing gear for a day of climbing. I ’ m a skinny guy with a longish torso and usually have trouble finding packs that are long enough and still sinch down enough around the waist. I used the back pack on a multi day unicorn hunt. I was able to pack all my camping gear and food for five days. My hunt was successful and I was even able to pack out my unicorn head for the taxidermist. [ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I have n't used this pack but it looks great, with excellent materials, pockets and overall construction. It also seems to tick most boxes for ultra runners who may be doing multi- day events requiring a lot of mandatory gear. Some runners may question the design choice of having only one side of the vest strap capable of carrying a 500ml soft flask. Perhaps this is the preferred option for fastpacking but having capacity for two soft flasks in addition to two zippered pockets on either side like the BD Distance 15 pack would be ideal, at least for ultra runners.

The Large size Betalight45 fits me very well. The shoulder straps are comfortable with a loaded pack and the hip belt sits properly to take some weight. I 'm 6' 3 '', 180lbs, my torso is 21. 5- 22 '' according to BD instructions. I measured the actual volume of the main bag to be 46L and still able to roll closed. Two pockets for water bottles, plus additional side pockets, made it very easy to put things I might need in a pinch like bug spray and snacks. Inside has a laptop compartment and a ton of room. The top clip and front pockets makes it easy to carry hiking poles up front. Straps comfortably adjust to short height( I 'm 5' 2) and the chest and waist strap make the bag very supportive without too much strain on your back after several hours in the mountains.
