This badboy has been with me to 10+ countries, been thrown in and out of every size of airplane, and generally been my bag of choice for everything that comes up. I have dragged it through immigration lines by the strap, and have worn it as a backpack because I had my hands full. It feels like a small bag, but somehow holds everything... like it always manages to hold everything. I tried tons of different specialized bags to use for getting my pilot's license, and this thing( surprise!) holds everything perfectly. Weekend bag? check. Month long trip? Rock this guy plus a backpack or carryon. Which brings me to the* only* flaw I can think of. It does n't sit well on top of a rolling suitcase. The bag will want to slide off the top, and can tip over the whole arrangement when you 're on the run. Also, and I ca n't explain this with anything other than witchcraft... it looks* exactly* the same as when I bought it. 11 out of 10.

I use it for going to the gym, as carry on luggage when flying, commuting to work and have lived out of the bag for 5 day trips with the bag strapped to my motor cycle. The quality and workmanship is excellent. I have the black bag and love the colour. Love the simplicity of the bag, one zip to the main compartment and that ’s it. The side pockets with organisation works great and i use these for my tech gear. Shoulder strap is comfy as are the carry handles. I have used the carrying handles in backpack mode for a 40min walk twice a day for 5 days with just some gym gear and an iPad inside and its doable but I wouldn ’ t like to do it again it just not comfy. I have since purchased the 45 travel backpack for occasions like this. I love the bag as it suits my needs and would recommend peak design gear to others. I got this bag so I could just take one checked bag for my family ’s gear when we go on ski trips. I love the fact that it has wheels because, even though I love to look tough carrying 30 bags hanging off my neck and shoulders I ’ m just getting too old for that. The bag has a ton of space, in fact it is enough space to fit my whole families ski clothes plus our winter boots, freeing up space in our personal bags for our daily use items. It is nice and sturdy on its wheels which is an important feature for me. I can ’ t stand rolling luggage that tips over with the slightest bump on the pavement. A couple things I love about this bag is that even though it ’s large it ’s on the lighter side. I also love that you can cinch it down to keep things nice and tight.

[ I brought the Thule Chasm along for a cross- country road trip( Denver- Maryland- up to New York) and then used it as a carry- on for a flight to the Dominican Republic — and it fit everything I needed, keeping it dry and contained. The material is super sturdy and easily withstood being tossed around in and out of rental cars, overhead bins, and sandy hotel rooms. I also really like the calming color( easy to spot) and the handle design, which makes it comfortable to pull through airports or grab quickly out of a trunk. It ’s compact enough to fit in an overhead bin but still has plenty of space for both wedding attire and beach attire for a full week. One thing to note: it only has wheels on one side. While that means fewer things that can break, it makes adding luggage on top a little harder to navigate. The main zipper is durable and I like that its tucked under a flap, keeping everything weather resistant- especially nice when traveling in the tropics with frequent passing rain. Bonus, it's made from 100 percent recycled materials. This is a durable pack that's gon na last a lifetime. Hope my kids like `` pond grey ''!

After 3 months, one of the side pocket zipper- pull broke off. After reaching out to Peak design they directed me to go through the warranty process. I received a brand new replacement bag within a few weeks. It was a pretty seamless process. Overall the bag is fantastic. Love all the pockets and carrying versatility. The one critique would be that the magnets in the Handel are too weak. I highly recommend travel duffel.

Very hard to find a decent multipurpose/format day/weekend bag around 30L at this price. I switch between backpack and hand carry almost daily and it's very easy to do. The zip pockets and interior pouches are super useful. I travel a lot for work( 1- 2 nights away at a time) and this is ideal to pack everything I need as a holdall and to unpack at the hotel and use as a gym/day bag in between. It's light, rugged and the magnets and secure zips are a nice touch. I love the colour( sage) and I have n't found anything that comes close.

My husband and I were trying to decide between the Base Camp Voyager Duffel and the original Base Camp Duffel, and we ultimately decided on the Voyager version, and we are very happy with the decision. We are using the bag mostly for weekend or road trips where we can both pack our belongings in the same bag instead of rugged trips( ex: camping or backpacking) or long trips where bags may need to be checked. The material for the Voyager is not as thick and sturdy as the original version, but it's still plenty sturdy. We are also not rough on our bags though. I the backpack straps, which can easily be removed with buckles and tucked away whereas with the original version, the backpack straps have to be looped through and are more cumbersome. It is also comfortable to wear as a backpack for short periods. The one downside to the bag is that the internal organization zipped pockets do n't have a lot of room or stretch, so you ca n't fit a lot of items in there. I also wish there were internal compression straps to keep the contents in position since they can shuffle around a lot when not fully packed. Overall, we love the bag, and it has become our go- to bag for our trips!

I just received the 100 bag. I already had the 50 and I knew I needed a larger one for longer trips and to store gear for 2 people. I 'm glad I went with the 100. It can hold 2 backpacks, clothes, and other gear for an extended period. It made sense to get this bag over the 75 for a few reasons. It's nice to have the extra space when needed, and both the 75 and and the 100 are required to check in at the airlines so there was no incentive to get the 75 unless you wanted safe a few dollars.

I never thought I would get excited about using a duffel bag, but this duffel is actually amazing. As soon as I opened it, I could tell that a lot of thought went into it. I love that it has a few pockets for organizing smaller items, and the main compartment's stiffened trusses that keep the bag open while you 're packing it is a feature that I did n't know I needed. It makes it SO much easier to pack, and now all other duffels seem lackluster and kind of annoying to use. I 'm petite, so the backpack straps( which are well padded) and the tote handles help me to more comfortably carry large loads. Brad's review below prompted me to write my own review. He may have been a little confused because this bag is MORE than a duffel. I just returned from a golf/bike race and it was amazing how useful this bag is. With pockets on both the inside and outside and the packing cube( the storage bag), I was able to organize the important stuff while having a huge space in the middle. What really surprised me was the tote. I thought at first that I would never use it and it would be too hard to carry but it was the mode that preferred while moving from car to hotel, to and from the race and the size made it so easy to throw stuff in and have it readily accessible. Now that I think about it, the opening in the top is what made it so useful and easy. It has a zipper to close it but stuff stays in really well because it stands upright. The back pack straps can be stored out of the way and I feel like I would use the backpack if I had a long distance to walk, like an airport. All of this info is demonstrated really well in the video so I had no problem figuring out how to use it. This bag is very durable and seems like it would be almost waterproof. I have about 6 duffels and this one is my instant favorite. I 'll use it for travel, triathlon transition, golf travel bag, and basically anytime I need a bag for something. The `` tote '' mode is genius. This is innovation and Nemo nailed it on this one.

I own a lot of duffle bags. I ’ m a seasonal worker in Alaska and the lighter and tougher the bag that can hold my gear the better. A lot of if not most duffel bags on the market can convert to a backpack, but I don ’ t know of any other duffles that can convert to a huge tote!? My other duffel bags I used when I travel to/from Alaska sit for the six months until I need them. I know this is gon na be used weekly when we go for quick overnight car camping on the flats or grocery trips in Canada and especially laundry. It's is higher quality than Osprey or The North Face duffles I own and more useful than both. I bought this for an eight day excursion hiking the NM and TX national parks. I need something durable enough to handle checked baggage and throwing around a campsite in the desert. The way the bag converts from a backpack to wide mouthed storage tote is very handy. The way it opens up makes staying organized easier than a traditional duffel bag. I just picked the 30L duffel up for upcoming international travel and a Grand Canyon rafting trip. After reading and watching so many reviews on adventure/travel duffels, these new Double Hauls have all the right standard features and then elevate above the competition with the 3 distinct modes. Having it in hand, these things are built like a tank, but are sleek enough for regular travel( if you don ’ t mind an outdoorsy vibe). I was a little worried that the 30L would be too small and didn ’ t want to jump all the way to a 55L. I despise checking luggage. Turns out you can fill this almost to the brim, then cinch down the interior luggage straps over your gear and compress the whole thing with the exterior side buckles. Amazing. The stiffeners really do work to keep the bag open/structured. The backpack straps are comfortable and stay out of the way when in tote mode. The tote carry handles are a good size and snap together well. Pockets are minimal, but a good size. And the storage bag/packing cube is a brilliant touch when attached inside the bag for more organization. The only thing I would improve so far are the tote carry handles. They ’ re uncomfortable on my shoulder. A traditional padded handle wrap would be an easy fix. And/or adding in a wide shoulder strap to attach to the duffel cinch buckles.

This bag is super versatile and durable. I use it as my diaper bag/purse/gym bag/carryall. It fits my skates, my daughters skates and all our winter gear. Can stay outside in the snow because it ’s waterproof which is perfect. Comfortable straps on your shoulder no matter which way you wear it and weight in bag. We recently brought it to the beach. It ’s refreshing not having sand stick to it while bring it inside. I can ’ t rave enough about how great this bag is!

I was a little skeptical at 1st when it came to the different `` modes '' but boy was I wrong. I thought the tote mode would be just gimmicky but its the mode that Ive used the most so far! I got the 30L and it is HUGE. It's easy to just throw anything inside the bag when you have it in tote mode and just go. Its nice when you 're not so worried about having it organized and just hauling stuff and leaving it in the car such as putting my ski gear inside. But when I took it on a flight, it packs as nicely when I started using packing cubes and carried it like a bag pack. I had 4 days worth of clothes and it still has an insane amount of space left( not sure if I 'm just a minimalist). Either way, I 'm gon na abuse this duffel. It's a go to now for any `` hauls ''. It's gon na compliment a smaller carryon bagpack.

Right on the verge of carry on and checked bag for traveling so that was nerve wracking, but I was able to count it as a carry on with American still. I already own and love an Away carry- on suitcase; it is my go- to bag for weekend trips. But for longer stays, I tend to prefer a soft- sided suitcase so I can have the option to pack a bit more and expand the suitcase. So, I was thrilled to see this new design from Away and even more thrilled to receive one as a sample. I used it on a recent trip and it is really the best of all worlds; the durability and stability of a hard- shell case with the flexibility to pack lightly and keep the duffel in its slim profile OR truly expand it and max it out( it can fit a lot, much more than I 'd need for a weeklong stay). Plus, tons of convenient outer pockets which I love for last- minute items, gifts, or things I 'd like to keep close at hand. It's also surprisingly lightweight, and I love that it can zip down almost completely flat for storage at home AND especially for putting away/out of sight in a small hotel room. I received this product free from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest feedback. I travel a lot for work and for pleasure and this rolling duffle bag is perfect for me and my needs. I love that it has a hard shell on the backside of the bag so it can be laid down to pack easily. It also has fold out metal legs on the inside that help to support the bottom of the duffle bag so it will stand up on its own when it is packed. A secure garment strap on the inside will help keep those dress pants from being too wrinkled and multiple pockets for all the other items you need to bring with you. It even has expansion straps to help secure and support the bag. The handle glides smoothly up and down and the wheels are nice and heavy duty to withstand whatever obstacles you have to pass. This bag is perfect for casual trips like camping or vacation trips, and it can even be used for long business trips. The bag is very sleek and classy looking. It can be used in any situation and for as little or as much clothing as you need. Just for reference, I put an entire oversized king comforter bedding set inside this duffle bag and still was able to zip it up easily. This bag can really hold a lot of clothes. I will be using this bag for a lot of my trips. Excellent quality and design.

We 've been looking to replace 2 rolling duffels for two years and finally found the best ones ever!! I 'm not sure if he's never actually went into production or what happened, but I regularly study the site and never saw them until they were on clearance. It appears they did n't actually go into production, but I could certainly be wrong. They 're spacious, sturdy, have solid Away rolling wheels, under an absolutely fantastic size. LOVE THEM!!

Excellent bag. I use this for the gym before work. Fits my work clothes easily as well as men ’s size 13 shoes in the side compartment. I also keep a pair of flip flops for the shower and a typical size lunch box in there. Comfortable. Solid materials and plenty big for what I need. Fits decent in a locker but may be slightly too long for doing so. I could also see it being very good for traveling.

[ I absolutely love this bag. It is very well made and great quality. This bag is very diverse. I have used it for weekend getaways as well as the gym. This bag has a lot of space and compartments. There is a discrete strap on the back that allows you to attach to your suitcase. And something that really caught my eye was the side compartment for wet/dirty clothes. It allows you to separate your wet/dirty clothing from the clean. I have also used the compartment for my shoes. The material of the bag also makes it very easy to clean. I would definetly recommend this bag.

[ I love the versatility of this bag. I go to many different types of workout classes including cardio, strength, and yoga and it seems like this bag has a pocket for everything. The exterior yoga mat pocket is clever as it does n't take up space inside the bag and allows it to air dry after a hot yoga class. The dirty clothes pocket is convenient and it even has an interior keychain to help you keep track of your keys. The zipper is large and easy to use. The bag is on the bigger size but does n't feel too bulky. This is one of the more innovative gym bags I have ever owned.

[ This is a bag, I did n't know how much I needed, until I used it! I absolutely love the shape of this bag! I love how it's circular versus the normal rectangular shape with square outside pockets. The material is nice and thick, but lightweight. I could fit everything I needed in it for a weekend stay. Love how the handles have some extra fabric for a comfortable feeling when carrying, but also doubles as holding a blanket through it without it slipping through like it does with other bags. It comes with other additional nice attributes that I 've never seen before, like side luggage slits so it could fit over the luggage handle and sit on top of the luggage without shifting. Also like the thick fabric added to the zippers. It's a very nice, nonflashy, simple black bag. Which I love! And it's a bag I feel like I could pack full without worrying about if it will hold up or tear. I could use it for anything. I 'll also probably be selfish and keep it to myself versus sharing it with the kids to use:)
