There is a discrete strap on the back that allows you to attach to your suitcase. And something that really caught my eye was the side compartment for wet/dirty clothes. It allows you to separate your wet/dirty clothing from the clean. I have also used the compartment for my shoes. The material of the bag also makes it very easy to clean. [ I love the versatility of this bag. I go to many different types of workout classes including cardio, strength, and yoga and it seems like this bag has a pocket for everything. The exterior yoga mat pocket is clever as it does n't take up space inside the bag and allows it to air dry after a hot yoga class. The dirty clothes pocket is convenient and it even has an interior keychain to help you keep track of your keys. The zipper is large and easy to use. The bag is on the bigger size but does n't feel too bulky. This is one of the more innovative gym bags I have ever owned.

The material is nice and thick, but lightweight. I could fit everything I needed in it for a weekend stay. Love how the handles have some extra fabric for a comfortable feeling when carrying, but also doubles as holding a blanket through it without it slipping through like it does with other bags. It comes with other additional nice attributes that I 've never seen before, like side luggage slits so it could fit over the luggage handle and sit on top of the luggage without shifting. I travel for work with a 2 bag system and basically live out of this bag and a backpack for my laptop etc for a couple weeks at a time every month. It ’s just the right amount of space for me and let me tell you it is rugged. I ’ m not easy on this bag and it looks brand new after months of weekly use. I ’ ve only had one issue where I lost a strap and even though I was at fault customer support took care of me and got a new one right out. I honestly can not say enough good things about this product, the CS I received, and this company as a whole. Great gear and people!

Bought it 2 years ago and it's holding beautifully. Handles have developed some patina but a lot of the bag looks like new. Main compartment zipper is reinforced and does not het floppy/wrinkly, making zipping/unzipping easier and getting into the bag easier. Plenty of compartments and and carry styles thanks to many attachment loops for shoulder belt and handles. Handles do dig in into shoulders though if you carry heavy stuff. Also, magnets in to keep the handles together hold the handles quite poorly. But it's really all the nitpicks I can think of.

After 3 months, one of the side pocket zipper- pull broke off. After reaching out to Peak design they directed me to go through the warranty process. I received a brand new replacement bag within a few weeks. It was a pretty seamless process. Overall the bag is fantastic. Love all the pockets and carrying versatility. [ I brought the Thule Chasm along for a cross- country road trip( Denver- Maryland- up to New York) and then used it as a carry- on for a flight to the Dominican Republic — and it fit everything I needed, keeping it dry and contained. The material is super sturdy and easily withstood being tossed around in and out of rental cars, overhead bins, and sandy hotel rooms. I also really like the calming color( easy to spot) and the handle design, which makes it comfortable to pull through airports or grab quickly out of a trunk. It ’s compact enough to fit in an overhead bin but still has plenty of space for both wedding attire and beach attire for a full week. One thing to note: it only has wheels on one side. While that means fewer things that can break, it makes adding luggage on top a little harder to navigate. The main zipper is durable and I like that its tucked under a flap, keeping everything weather resistant- especially nice when traveling in the tropics with frequent passing rain. My husband and I were trying to decide between the Base Camp Voyager Duffel and the original Base Camp Duffel, and we ultimately decided on the Voyager version, and we are very happy with the decision. We are using the bag mostly for weekend or road trips where we can both pack our belongings in the same bag instead of rugged trips( ex: camping or backpacking) or long trips where bags may need to be checked. The material for the Voyager is not as thick and sturdy as the original version, but it's still plenty sturdy. We are also not rough on our bags though. I the backpack straps, which can easily be removed with buckles and tucked away whereas with the original version, the backpack straps have to be looped through and are more cumbersome. It is also comfortable to wear as a backpack for short periods. The one downside to the bag is that the internal organization zipped pockets do n't have a lot of room or stretch, so you ca n't fit a lot of items in there. I also wish there were internal compression straps to keep the contents in position since they can shuffle around a lot when not fully packed. Overall, we love the bag, and it has become our go- to bag for our trips!

'' In person, it is much more of a brighter burnt orange, and I was instantly in love. I was searching for a duffle for its soft body vs any other luggage to have something easy to pack( big and roomy) and easy to grab and carry( handles on the sides of this bag, the backpack straps, or top carry straps!). I never thought I would get excited about using a duffel bag, but this duffel is actually amazing. As soon as I opened it, I could tell that a lot of thought went into it. I love that it has a few pockets for organizing smaller items, and the main compartment's stiffened trusses that keep the bag open while you 're packing it is a feature that I did n't know I needed. It makes it SO much easier to pack, and now all other duffels seem lackluster and kind of annoying to use. I 'm petite, so the backpack straps( which are well padded) and the tote handles help me to more comfortably carry large loads. I 'm a travel photographer, so durability is always on my mind when using any kind of luggage. This material feels quite sturdy and I can tell it 'll hold up for many, many years. Brad's review below prompted me to write my own review. He may have been a little confused because this bag is MORE than a duffel. I just returned from a golf/bike race and it was amazing how useful this bag is. With pockets on both the inside and outside and the packing cube( the storage bag), I was able to organize the important stuff while having a huge space in the middle. What really surprised me was the tote. I thought at first that I would never use it and it would be too hard to carry but it was the mode that preferred while moving from car to hotel, to and from the race and the size made it so easy to throw stuff in and have it readily accessible. Now that I think about it, the opening in the top is what made it so useful and easy. It has a zipper to close it but stuff stays in really well because it stands upright. The back pack straps can be stored out of the way and I feel like I would use the backpack if I had a long distance to walk, like an airport. All of this info is demonstrated really well in the video so I had no problem figuring out how to use it. This bag is very durable and seems like it would be almost waterproof. I have about 6 duffels and this one is my instant favorite. I 'll use it for travel, triathlon transition, golf travel bag, and basically anytime I need a bag for something. The `` tote '' mode is genius. This is innovation and Nemo nailed it on this one.

It took a second to figure out all the straps but it definitely makes a difference with the backpack straps when you load that much in it. I love that you have the option of a shoulder bag as well which is why I got this. I own a lot of duffle bags. I ’ m a seasonal worker in Alaska and the lighter and tougher the bag that can hold my gear the better. A lot of if not most duffel bags on the market can convert to a backpack, but I don ’ t know of any other duffles that can convert to a huge tote!? My other duffel bags I used when I travel to/from Alaska sit for the six months until I need them. I know this is gon na be used weekly when we go for quick overnight car camping on the flats or grocery trips in Canada and especially laundry. It's is higher quality than Osprey or The North Face duffles I own and more useful than both. There's a big mesh pocket inside the bag to separate smaller things. it ’s a very well thought out bag and looks pretty cool. I ’ ll be using this for years to come.

I bought this for an eight day excursion hiking the NM and TX national parks. I need something durable enough to handle checked baggage and throwing around a campsite in the desert. The way the bag converts from a backpack to wide mouthed storage tote is very handy. The way it opens up makes staying organized easier than a traditional duffel bag. So far I have a few 60- 80L Duffel from TNF and Patagonia and love those two. In comparison, this is not as thick as my TNF, but definitely thicker than Patagonia. 2nd, once a few items get tossed in, it's Free Standing!!! With the additional support on the sides, I can easily toss things in. So far I planned a few camping/climbing/biking trips and this thing fits all my gear and clothe I needed. Fit a few days worth of clothes, and all of my fly gear on a recent weekend trip to Aruba. 9 wt 4 piece tube fit well in the bag. When my flight was delayed, I had to hop in a cab from the airport to the marina, and out to the flats. The Panga kept everything dry, including my iPad and electronics. The 75 fit in the overhead no problem on an AA Airbus 319. It ’s currently packed for NYC and a weekend with the wife for previews of Escape to Margaritaville. I just picked the 30L duffel up for upcoming international travel and a Grand Canyon rafting trip. After reading and watching so many reviews on adventure/travel duffels, these new Double Hauls have all the right standard features and then elevate above the competition with the 3 distinct modes. Having it in hand, these things are built like a tank, but are sleek enough for regular travel( if you don ’ t mind an outdoorsy vibe). I was a little worried that the 30L would be too small and didn ’ t want to jump all the way to a 55L. I despise checking luggage. Turns out you can fill this almost to the brim, then cinch down the interior luggage straps over your gear and compress the whole thing with the exterior side buckles. Amazing. The stiffeners really do work to keep the bag open/structured. The backpack straps are comfortable and stay out of the way when in tote mode. The tote carry handles are a good size and snap together well. Pockets are minimal, but a good size. And the storage bag/packing cube is a brilliant touch when attached inside the bag for more organization. The only thing I would improve so far are the tote carry handles. They ’ re uncomfortable on my shoulder. A traditional padded handle wrap would be an easy fix. And/or adding in a wide shoulder strap to attach to the duffel cinch buckles.

This bag is super versatile and durable. I use it as my diaper bag/purse/gym bag/carryall. It fits my skates, my daughters skates and all our winter gear. Can stay outside in the snow because it ’s waterproof which is perfect. Comfortable straps on your shoulder no matter which way you wear it and weight in bag. We recently brought it to the beach. I was a little skeptical at 1st when it came to the different `` modes '' but boy was I wrong. I thought the tote mode would be just gimmicky but its the mode that Ive used the most so far! I got the 30L and it is HUGE. It's easy to just throw anything inside the bag when you have it in tote mode and just go. Its nice when you 're not so worried about having it organized and just hauling stuff and leaving it in the car such as putting my ski gear inside. But when I took it on a flight, it packs as nicely when I started using packing cubes and carried it like a bag pack. I had 4 days worth of clothes and it still has an insane amount of space left( not sure if I 'm just a minimalist). Either way, I 'm gon na abuse this duffel. It's a go to now for any `` hauls ''. It's gon na compliment a smaller carryon bagpack.

This is an addition to my first bag. Things that I like about this luggage is that the zippers are protected by straps to cinch the bag if it is not full. So many times I see luggage that the airlines have bagged because zippers have failed and they do not have straps! The fabric is a good thick durable fabric as again the airlines are hard on them. The wheels and expandable handles are well made and durable, as my other bag has lasted over 12 years without an issue( by the way I travel a lot, it is a thing). The 2 main compartments, one has straps to secure your clothes, etc. The other side has a closing zip compartment. On the outside you can access one of the compartments without having to open the entire bag. Also there is a large pocket accessed from the outside for all of your toiletry items etc. Along with a small pocket for perhaps keys etc. The zippers are heavy duty and durable. I like the size as it has a sleek profile making it easy to maneuver and fit in the trunk of small cars. Also it comes in different sizes.

This bag is great! I received the medium size one as a gift and carry it on my back like a backpack through the airport. No checked luggage( caution if back or carry large weight is an issue for you). I got my second bag( large) and use it for my inflatable raft( 130 '' L x 35 '' W x 18 '' H) which includes: paddles, life vest+ raft itself and I STILL have room for extra clothes or another. Great bag!
