I was able to put my towel, after- workout clothes, wallet, and 2 bottles of water. I like this duffel bag because it's not too big and not too small. I bought this bag in or around 2018- I 'm only writing the review now because I recommended this bag to my brother, and realized it was criminal that I had n't posted a public one yet. This badboy has been with me to 10+ countries, been thrown in and out of every size of airplane, and generally been my bag of choice for everything that comes up. I have dragged it through immigration lines by the strap, and have worn it as a backpack because I had my hands full. It feels like a small bag, but somehow holds everything... like it always manages to hold everything. I tried tons of different specialized bags to use for getting my pilot's license, and this thing( surprise!) holds everything perfectly. Weekend bag? check. Month long trip? Rock this guy plus a backpack or carryon. Which brings me to the* only* flaw I can think of. It does n't sit well on top of a rolling suitcase. The bag will want to slide off the top, and can tip over the whole arrangement when you 're on the run. Also, and I ca n't explain this with anything other than witchcraft... it looks* exactly* the same as when I bought it. 11 out of 10.

I use it for going to the gym, as carry on luggage when flying, commuting to work and have lived out of the bag for 5 day trips with the bag strapped to my motor cycle. The quality and workmanship is excellent. I have the black bag and love the colour. Love the simplicity of the bag, one zip to the main compartment and that ’s it. The side pockets with organisation works great and i use these for my tech gear. Shoulder strap is comfy as are the carry handles. I have used the carrying handles in backpack mode for a 40min walk twice a day for 5 days with just some gym gear and an iPad inside and its doable but I wouldn ’ t like to do it again it just not comfy. I have since purchased the 45 travel backpack for occasions like this. I love the bag as it suits my needs and would recommend peak design gear to others. I love the fact that it has wheels because, even though I love to look tough carrying 30 bags hanging off my neck and shoulders I ’ m just getting too old for that. The bag has a ton of space, in fact it is enough space to fit my whole families ski clothes plus our winter boots, freeing up space in our personal bags for our daily use items. [ I brought the Thule Chasm along for a cross- country road trip( Denver- Maryland- up to New York) and then used it as a carry- on for a flight to the Dominican Republic — and it fit everything I needed, keeping it dry and contained. The material is super sturdy and easily withstood being tossed around in and out of rental cars, overhead bins, and sandy hotel rooms. I also really like the calming color( easy to spot) and the handle design, which makes it comfortable to pull through airports or grab quickly out of a trunk. It ’s compact enough to fit in an overhead bin but still has plenty of space for both wedding attire and beach attire for a full week. One thing to note: it only has wheels on one side. While that means fewer things that can break, it makes adding luggage on top a little harder to navigate. The main zipper is durable and I like that its tucked under a flap, keeping everything weather resistant- especially nice when traveling in the tropics with frequent passing rain. Bonus, it's made from 100 percent recycled materials. This is a durable pack that's gon na last a lifetime. Hope my kids like `` pond grey ''!

After 3 months, one of the side pocket zipper- pull broke off. After reaching out to Peak design they directed me to go through the warranty process. I received a brand new replacement bag within a few weeks. It was a pretty seamless process. Overall the bag is fantastic. Love all the pockets and carrying versatility. The one critique would be that the magnets in the Handel are too weak. I highly recommend travel duffel.

Very hard to find a decent multipurpose/format day/weekend bag around 30L at this price. I switch between backpack and hand carry almost daily and it's very easy to do. The zip pockets and interior pouches are super useful. I travel a lot for work( 1- 2 nights away at a time) and this is ideal to pack everything I need as a holdall and to unpack at the hotel and use as a gym/day bag in between. It's light, rugged and the magnets and secure zips are a nice touch. I love the colour( sage) and I have n't found anything that comes close.

My husband and I were trying to decide between the Base Camp Voyager Duffel and the original Base Camp Duffel, and we ultimately decided on the Voyager version, and we are very happy with the decision. We are using the bag mostly for weekend or road trips where we can both pack our belongings in the same bag instead of rugged trips( ex: camping or backpacking) or long trips where bags may need to be checked. The material for the Voyager is not as thick and sturdy as the original version, but it's still plenty sturdy. We are also not rough on our bags though. I the backpack straps, which can easily be removed with buckles and tucked away whereas with the original version, the backpack straps have to be looped through and are more cumbersome. It is also comfortable to wear as a backpack for short periods. The one downside to the bag is that the internal organization zipped pockets do n't have a lot of room or stretch, so you ca n't fit a lot of items in there. I also wish there were internal compression straps to keep the contents in position since they can shuffle around a lot when not fully packed. Overall, we love the bag, and it has become our go- to bag for our trips!

I just received the 100 bag. I already had the 50 and I knew I needed a larger one for longer trips and to store gear for 2 people. I 'm glad I went with the 100. It can hold 2 backpacks, clothes, and other gear for an extended period. It made sense to get this bag over the 75 for a few reasons. It's nice to have the extra space when needed, and both the 75 and and the 100 are required to check in at the airlines so there was no incentive to get the 75 unless you wanted safe a few dollars.

I never thought I would get excited about using a duffel bag, but this duffel is actually amazing. As soon as I opened it, I could tell that a lot of thought went into it. I love that it has a few pockets for organizing smaller items, and the main compartment's stiffened trusses that keep the bag open while you 're packing it is a feature that I did n't know I needed. It makes it SO much easier to pack, and now all other duffels seem lackluster and kind of annoying to use. Brad's review below prompted me to write my own review. He may have been a little confused because this bag is MORE than a duffel. I just returned from a golf/bike race and it was amazing how useful this bag is. With pockets on both the inside and outside and the packing cube( the storage bag), I was able to organize the important stuff while having a huge space in the middle. What really surprised me was the tote. I thought at first that I would never use it and it would be too hard to carry but it was the mode that preferred while moving from car to hotel, to and from the race and the size made it so easy to throw stuff in and have it readily accessible. Now that I think about it, the opening in the top is what made it so useful and easy. It has a zipper to close it but stuff stays in really well because it stands upright. The back pack straps can be stored out of the way and I feel like I would use the backpack if I had a long distance to walk, like an airport. All of this info is demonstrated really well in the video so I had no problem figuring out how to use it. This bag is very durable and seems like it would be almost waterproof. I have about 6 duffels and this one is my instant favorite. I 'll use it for travel, triathlon transition, golf travel bag, and basically anytime I need a bag for something. The `` tote '' mode is genius. This is innovation and Nemo nailed it on this one.

The texture and the sturdiness feels like it can sustain a lot during your travels for a long time. It feels lightweight at only 9lbs. Very comfortable to carry. Besides how lightweight it feels, the best part of this luggage is the many compartments it has inside. There ’s even one that can hold all your toiletries without making a mess of the rest of you luggage, especially if there are clothes near it. Inside it ’s very spacious. There ’s a lot of space for multiple items including a lot of clothes with a nice number of jeans, which to me takes a lot space in the luggage. The zippers that have 2 of them has a connecting area for a lock if you need it which is nice. The expandable handle is easy to take out and even easier to get it back in it ’s almost automatic. I own a lot of duffle bags. I ’ m a seasonal worker in Alaska and the lighter and tougher the bag that can hold my gear the better. A lot of if not most duffel bags on the market can convert to a backpack, but I don ’ t know of any other duffles that can convert to a huge tote!? My other duffel bags I used when I travel to/from Alaska sit for the six months until I need them. I know this is gon na be used weekly when we go for quick overnight car camping on the flats or grocery trips in Canada and especially laundry. I bought this for an eight day excursion hiking the NM and TX national parks. I need something durable enough to handle checked baggage and throwing around a campsite in the desert. The way the bag converts from a backpack to wide mouthed storage tote is very handy. The way it opens up makes staying organized easier than a traditional duffel bag. It is well built and love the internal and external pockets. My only complaint would be the carrying handles should be shorten.

This bag's versatility is unmatched from others I 've owned and used. I never imagined I 'd buy another after my old Marmot bag but Nemo said, `` hold my beer... '', and here I am... looking to get a smaller size for different travel requirements. Internal straps snug down loads inside, while external straps give you options on how to transport the duffel. Safe to say this is my new go- to deployment bag. Nemo did a great job showing off the features in their video if you 're a mouth breather( like me) and need a quick tutorial.

I 've been looking for a bigger duffel for a trip planning to Greece and wow this fits the bill. I bought the 100L and it's amazing how big this is. So far I have a few 60- 80L Duffel from TNF and Patagonia and love those two. In comparison, this is not as thick as my TNF, but definitely thicker than Patagonia. 2nd, once a few items get tossed in, it's Free Standing!!! With the additional support on the sides, I can easily toss things in. So far I planned a few camping/climbing/biking trips and this thing fits all my gear and clothe I needed. Tote mode has been amazing as it makes everything easily accessible. Ca n't wait to try the Backpack mode for my flights.

I just picked the 30L duffel up for upcoming international travel and a Grand Canyon rafting trip. After reading and watching so many reviews on adventure/travel duffels, these new Double Hauls have all the right standard features and then elevate above the competition with the 3 distinct modes. Having it in hand, these things are built like a tank, but are sleek enough for regular travel( if you don ’ t mind an outdoorsy vibe). I was a little worried that the 30L would be too small and didn ’ t want to jump all the way to a 55L. I despise checking luggage. Turns out you can fill this almost to the brim, then cinch down the interior luggage straps over your gear and compress the whole thing with the exterior side buckles. Amazing. The stiffeners really do work to keep the bag open/structured. The backpack straps are comfortable and stay out of the way when in tote mode. The tote carry handles are a good size and snap together well. Pockets are minimal, but a good size. And the storage bag/packing cube is a brilliant touch when attached inside the bag for more organization. The only thing I would improve so far are the tote carry handles. They ’ re uncomfortable on my shoulder. A traditional padded handle wrap would be an easy fix. And/or adding in a wide shoulder strap to attach to the duffel cinch buckles.

I was a little skeptical at 1st when it came to the different `` modes '' but boy was I wrong. I thought the tote mode would be just gimmicky but its the mode that Ive used the most so far! I got the 30L and it is HUGE. It's easy to just throw anything inside the bag when you have it in tote mode and just go. Its nice when you 're not so worried about having it organized and just hauling stuff and leaving it in the car such as putting my ski gear inside. But when I took it on a flight, it packs as nicely when I started using packing cubes and carried it like a bag pack. I had 4 days worth of clothes and it still has an insane amount of space left( not sure if I 'm just a minimalist). Either way, I 'm gon na abuse this duffel. It's a go to now for any `` hauls ''. It's gon na compliment a smaller carryon bagpack.
