Got fit for this driver and bought it. Per the results of my fitting, I have the settings down to a 9. 5° loft(- 1° draw setting), and have the 12g weight in the heel and the 3g weight in the back of the club. During my very first round, my slice is nearly gone. My drives are flying much straighter. But the biggest improvement I saw was the misses are nowhere near as bad. Instead of huge slices, the Cobra Darkspeed Max minimizes those greatly to baby fades that miss just right of the fairway in the first cut if you do happen to miss right. Very happy with the results after just one round. I ’ m going to invest in the Cobra Darkspeed Fairway Woods& Hybrid as well.

I hit it great at the demo but not so much after:-) I saw this driver on sale because it was last years model and I have played Cobra before so I bought it after reading some reviews. This thing is amazing! I read reviews that said it was n't forgiving, boy are they wrong. I am a 21 handicap and I have had a few mishits and the ball still flies straight and long. I am also impressed with the Lin Q shaft it is easy to swing and it really stable. On top of that it looks awesome and sets up nice at address. If you looking for a great driver look no further.

Taking penalties strokes out of the tee box is a killer as I 've made improvements in the rest of my game. Not to mention the embarrassment. This club has absolutely taken the curvature out of my drive. I still tend to miss right more often than not but it stays in play. A lot of that is set up/alignment for me as I used to have to play for my slice. When I do find the center of the face, it flies as far as any non draw bias club I 've owned. On top of the performance this club sounds amazing. A muted `` thwack '' is how I would describe it. Feel is great too. You can tell where on the club your hitting it but it feels buttery soft no matter what. It's also nice to know as I improve with driver( hopefully), I can slide the weight from Draw plus to Draw. Looking forward to a full season with this bad boy.

I really enjoyed the STZ- 230, but decided to give the Max a try and it is really a step up in terms of distance, forgiveness and dispersion. I was blown away from my first strike with this driver. Mizuno irons are always a great choice, but more people should give this Driver a shot and you will not be disappointed. It is on par with the major OEMs, if not a tick better IMO. Great sound and feel as well.

I have played 3 rounds with this driver and it performed as expected. A good swing and a near center contact point delivered over 20 extra yards for me and more forgiveness. Only negatives I have so far are a tendency to miss left and the harsh sound at contact( I have gotten use to that now). I believe an adjustment to my loft from 10. 5 to 10 or 9. 5 should fix my left issues. Overall, the Mizuno ST- MAX 230 driver delivers on distance and forgiveness.

Titleist yet again exceeds on this driver. I 'm a 15. 4 HCP with a driver swing speed avg of 85. This felt amazing off the face. The performance I received was absolutely awesome! Let me say I ’ ve love swinging a Ping. I ’ m a mid 80s player but can strike the ball well majority of the time. I ’ ve got the i230s which are fantastic! I230s are great for a miss hit as well! I recently picked up the LST 440 driver and WOW! The forgiveness and the distance I could never get with the 430 10k. For some reason the g430 was never my friend and I wanted to make it work. When I first hit the 440 LST is was butter. Smooth swing and feel. Sound is so much better from the g425, which was another reason I stayed away from a ping driver. It ’s crazy how this LST handles the miss hits. It ’s definitely a driver I should not be using but it just works perfectly! With that, I looked at upgrading my 430 3 wood and tried the 440 3 wood. I ’ ve gained another 15- 20 yards CARRY with the new fairway. Now looking to see if my 430 7 wood needs an upgrade. Unbelievable technology coming from Ping! Only thing I ’ d like to use on my ping driver/fairway is a PING adjustment tool.

I first set foot on a golf course in 1995 at Nevis and the fellow I was flying for rented me a set of Callaway's. Since then, I have wanted a custom set of Callaway clubs. Last year I bought a complete custom set of irons, pitching and sand wedges with a three wood. I 'm seventy and this year could only get 140 yards out of my thirty- year- old driver. The experience I had with the Callaway three wood made me think I may do better with a new driver, so I bought the Star for its light weight. I 'm now driving 170 yards but that is n't the best part. It is very easy to hit good drives with this club. I 'm not topping balls or making other miss hits like I used to with the old driver and that alone removes strokes and adds yards to my game. I have played with the new driver twice and last time out I broke 100 for the first time. I enjoy my Callaway clubs very much and the Star driver has changed my world. It's worth every penny and more.

I own a G425 Max driver but traded in some other clubs to get the G430 Max 10k. It came with a Hzrdus 60g shaft, but I found that the 55g Alta CB from my G425 felt better and hit straighter. Feel and Distance are similar to the 425 but off center hits have a tighter dispersion with the 430 max10k. I do n't live near a fitter so it was fortunate that I had the other shaft. Fitting is very important especially with driver. This club wo n't be great for you if you are n't fit properly.

I played the G430 Max for about a year or more and switched to the G430 SFT. I found it more forgiving. I turned around and bought the 440 Max because it had a draw setting not present in the G430 Max. I returned it after a couple of weeks and exchanged it for the G 440 SFT. I have been extremely pleased. Although I play a draw and do n't slice too often, I still like to eliminate the potential. I do n't necessarily need to or want to `` work '' the ball and if I know my drives are going to go straight, slight draw or at worse weak fade, that works for me. The G 430 Max and G 440 Max definitely allowed the occasional slice.

I bought this club about a week ago. First, I hit it at a driving range and loved it from the first hit. Then, I played a round with it and found that the vast majority of my drives stayed on the fairway. Before, many of my drives were a bit in the rough.
